Small but lovely

  • 4 of 5

Small but lovely, this building has been lovingly and tastefully transformed to a high standard into a simple home in beautiful surroundings and although rural, is only 10mins from Leek. A clean and perfect place for our short stay and trips to Alton towers (20mins away).

It doesn’t have a local shop but it really isn’t that necessary with leek being so close by.

If we had young children (under 8) I would be wary of the garden as not all fencing was dense enough to be secure for small children and it is most gravel too.

Also, the kitchen was too small to eat in comfortably as a family but we didn’t find that an issue personally as wasn’t staying long.

No WiFi but again as it was a few nights and out all day it didn’t matter to us. Also, the tv is very very small which wasn’t great in the evenings when relaxing but again, it wasn’t the end of the world for a few nights.

Beautiful scenery and sunsets too, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

lovely cottage in excellent setting

  • 4 of 5

Well appointed cottage in central location. Nothing to fault. Can definitely recommend it. Tip for the owners: perhaps some comfy chairs to sit outside instead of the benches.

Beautiful cosy retreat

  • 5 of 5

Spent a lovely night away here and the place was just perfect. A lovely cosy feel and yet bright and airy too. Had everything we needed and was immaculately clean.

Surrounded by wonderful countryside and a great pub close by. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Would highly recommend it!

This barn conversion was very clean, cosy and welcoming

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights, the barn was in a lovely location with the countryside right outside the door. Local services nearby in Leek. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

Only negative was that there was no welcome pack, a pint of milk on arrival would have been a nice touch, also no handwash soap in the bathroom. Other than these 2 small details a perfect destination for exploring the surrounding area.

Loveley little House.

Woodview barn is located in a wonderful, peaceful area. It is really cosy.

We loved our stay.

Only thing missing was a hairdryer (our fault).

Would definatly come again.
