We had a great stay at Basia's lovely apartment. Everything was as advertised although you don't get a true sense of just how spacious the apartment is. Super clean and great location!
Quite simply, excellent
Wonderful location, spacious, well equipped. Very clean and tidy. An owner who cares and makes sure everything is in order - the satellite TV wasn’t working when we arrived but half an hour later she turns up with the repair man and it’s sorted!
No more to say other than highly recommended.

This is the second time we have stayed at basia and John's apartment for 28 days it is first class accomodation with wonderful views from the balcony over the marina old town and out to sea
It is ideal for couples and families nice swimming pool with a good play area for children
The apartment itself has two bedrooms and bathrooms with a well equipped kitchen
The Owners are always on hand if you have any problems

Beautiful apartment, great location
We have been to this building already twice before but in the smaller apartments. Now we came first time with our 3 year old son to our first "sea" holiday. Everything was set up in a way we would not even expect. Apartment is big enough for family with 2-3 children or two couples.
We liked especially the terrace and big kitchen. However the beds were also very comfortable. Location is something what we value a lot and this one is great. No problem with parking around the building, couple minutes to the centre of town, 10-15 minutes walk to the Meia Praia. Altough we usually took a car and tried many different beaches in the area.

Booked this apartment based on the photographs and reviews but I am afraid the reality is quite different. The views from the balcony to the marina and the sea are lovely but everything else leaves a lot to be desired.
This was originally one large apartment and the owners have split the apartment by means of a flimsy wooden partition which has a concealed door which can be opened from the owners side only and we had no way of securing it at our side. This flimsy partition separates their apartment from your tiny living room. The wooden partition is no thicker than laminate and moves when touched. Because this is not a solid wall you can hear every noise coming from their apartment eg running water, conversations, washing machine, tv. meals etc.
Because this was originally one large apartment the balcony has also been separated by means of a wooden partition which does not reach the full height of the balcony and also has a glass door which can only be opened from the owners side, so again no privacy. It felt as if we were living with the owners.
Another major concern is that the front door of the apartment is accessed regularly by the owners and their business partners as they had an office and private toilet within the confines of our apartment front door, again no privacy as when you are in the living room you can clearly hear conversations from within their office. The only thing separating our apartment from the office and toilet is an internal door which can be opened with the same key that opens the apartment front door. You can hear the front door of your apartment being opened and closed on a regular basis which is very disconcerting. Quite honestly we did not feel safe in this apartment. None of these arrangements were explained to us when we booked this apartment. The whole set up of this apartment is to say the least bizarre and clients booking should be aware of the situation which we were not.
The tenant is wrong in thinking that our penthouse was ever one apartment. This is clearly documented in the title deeds held at the Council and the Condominium.
All rental apartments have to be inspected to confirm there are no changes made to the building after it gained its Habitation Licence and that proper safety and first aid measures are in place. This inspection was carried out and the Council granted the licence for rental purposes.
The tenant is mistaken on the following:
The partition between the apartments is not less than 6ins in thickness and is as good as sound proof.
The separation between the balconies is no different to the photograph no. 8 in the listing and particularly suits the circumstances.
The inner door of the apartment has the benefit of double locking on the inside with the additional security of a fixed bolt.
The tenants were told before hand that the owner’s private room, adjacent to the apartment, was used two mornings a week. This usage was adhered to.
When the tenant decided to leave we co-operated fully to ensure a smooth departure with a pro rata refund.
If your viewer want a true and fair view of the apartment they need to read all the reviews to date.
