This beautiful apartment is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Its peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything you need. Discover the shallow sandy beach (perfect for young and old alike) is only a 2 minute walk away. Marsascala town is a short 10 min walk offering a delightful selection of restaurants, cafes and bars and nightlife all overlooking the bay. Your apartment is fully equipped with TV, washing machine, large fridge freezer, bedding and fresh towels. We offer a maid service should you require it. On the terrace that overlooks the sea, there is a small table and chairs, where you can sit and have your meals and two very comfortable reclining sun chairs, where you can sunbathe whilst watching the ships roll in. There is a lift, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, air-conditioning, fans and an intercom system. There is free Wifi, superb TV channels that include BBC, movie and Eurosport channels.

About Angela Busuttil

Hi my name is Angie, I am Maltese and currently live in Hampton in Middlesex, London. My fondest memories are my wonderful holidays by the sea in Marsescala. I go back at least once a year to visit my lovely family there. As we now have a family of our own we wanted a place that we could use for our holidays. I had no trouble deciding where to buy and as soon as I saw this apartment my heart just flew as it had everything I ever dreamed of. A glorious sea view, a large relaxing and cool terrace to sit and drink a cool glass of wine in the evenings, lots of open space, clean and light with a contemporary feel. So we tried it out this summer and I have to say its super! The terrace is wonderful, everything is very close by and best of all its quiet and peaceful without being remote.

Why Angela Busuttil chose Marsaskala

I have been coming to Marsascala since I was a little girl and have always loved the feel of the place and of course the beautiful beaches. Its so unspoilt and untouristy. A lot of Maltese come here for their holidays so you will always find the locals nearby. Sliema, Buggiba and St Julian's are so built up and busy now, I wanted a place that people could feel the real Malta yet feel at home. Its quiet, peaceful and safe here. I would happily walk alone at night (something I would never do in England).

We are blessed with many lovely restaurants and bars and bustling nightlife is only 10 minutes away in Marsascala town.

What makes this apartment unique

This new build apartment has literally only just been finished. It has been furnished and decorated to a high standard. Everything in it is clean safe and ready for you to relax and chill.

There are very few penthouse apartments in Malta offering the standard, quality and comfort that we want to offer our guests.

Its very important to us that you feel as comfortable and welcome as possible - so we look forward to welcoming you to Malta to this wonderful original little fishing village of Marsascala.

Hi Angie, Just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous holiday in Malta and really loved your flat. The weather was glorious, very hot and sunny and we spent many hours sunbathing on the balcony, with the respite of the air conditioning in the flat when the heat got too much. The flat is well equipped and beautifully decorated and in a great location. Rose was waiting for us on arrival and was extremely helpful.We hope to come back soon and will certainly recommend the flat to friends and family.

Dear Angela we have been home now for just over the week and would like say what an excellent time we had in Malta, it was hot reaching 40 degrees on occasion but we planned our days accordingly, relaxing, sightseeing and waterpark.The flat was lovely and very well contained. We even viewed fireworks on the balcony! Rosa was there on our arrival and so very helpful with everything. Many thanks for a very enjoyable and comfortable stay

Notes on accommodation: Please contact owner. Outside: The large terrace has a table and chairs which allow you to take in the beautiful surrounding bay and relaxed atmosphere. There are two sun recliners with sunshades for your face that are very comfortable. Sunbathing on the terrace is a real pleasure. Please note, that for your child's safety we have provided a strong mesh guard that can easily be attached (if you so wish) to the iron rails that's very secure to ensure that little ones do not climb or fall. Utility Room: There are brooms, mop etc with everything you need. Iron and iron board. The second terrace has plenty of room to dry washing on the lines provided. The large en-suite houses the washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels including beach towels are included. Maid service is available on request if required. Other: The 2nd bedroom has a large walk in wardrobe and both bedrooms have loads of storage space for bags, suitcases and summer clothes! Beautiful Apartment!

We arrived at this wonderful apartment to be greeted by Rose. She showed us around the apartment and answered any questions that we had. Rose was by the phone at all times, even when we didn't know how to work the washing machine! The apartment was super clean and had all the equipment needed for our stay. The terrace area was a great bonus as it gave us time to sunbathe and have a nice evening meal overlooking Marsascala.

We had an action packed week where we went horse riding at the Golden Coast, scuba diving in the Blue Grotto as well as riding the jet ski's in Bugibba. The transportation in Marsascala allowed us to do all these activities around the island due to their great bus service to Valetta in which was handy. A lovely restaurant to eat in is Gabriel in Marsascala.

Angie, the owner of this apartment, provided great information on the location and things to do around Marsascala.

Home from home in the sun!

Lovely large penthouse two bedroomed apartment nicely presented. Modern, nicely decorated and furnished. Main bedroom has en-suite with bath/shower plus second separate shower room and toilet. The bedrooms are comfortable with ample drawer and wardrobe storage. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area and dining table. Air conditioning and ceiling fans. Two terraces front and rear. The front terrace is the larger and has sea views. Very relaxing, furnished with two loungers, table and chairs. Only a short stroll to the small but exclusive beach at St Thomas Bay. So relaxing with beautiful views and really safe bathing for children. Very popular seaside bar/restaurant. We used the apartment as a base to explore Malta, using the local bus service at the bottom of the road to visit anywhere on the island via its capital, Valletta. The bus fare was only one and a half euros per journey! We even went on a cruise to the sister islands of Goza and Comino, where we visited the beautiful blue lagoon! Our party consisted of two in their late sixties and two in their early seventies and we loved every minute of our stay - looking forward after a busy day to relaxing back at the apartment, which was always welcoming. There are two well stocked shops within close walking distance though we ate out most of the time. The area is residential and is occupied mainly by local residents. It was quiet, peaceful and we felt quite safe when we ventured out after dark. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and look forward to a return visit.

Great for a short stay

This comfortable, modern, apartment was an ideal base for us visiting Malta to see our son and his family. It is a shame that there is a lot of development both behind and in the front taking place which will affect privacy.

Not quite there

We were met by Rose who kindly showed us around. The photos are exactly what you get inside, the apartment was clean and tidy and the all important bed reasonably comfortable. The location was as advertised, easy walks to the sea and nearby headland covered with wild flowers and the buses were very reliable.

We suggested to Rose at the end of the stay, some items which might be usefully included in the apartment and she is sorting these.

The big negatives however were - the broken dishwasher, which we had no prior knowledge of, a shaver point and cushions for the sunbeds for our older frames. The web site will need to be changed as the secluded terrace is no more - now overlooked by a new apartment block which also takes away most of the sea view. Not sure if it provided good value for money under the circumstances.

Our return to Malta

We lived in Malta 1972-74,my how it has changed.The apartment in Masaskala is ideally situated to explore the Island.From day one we were briefed and made very comfortable by Rose who is the fountain of all knowledge.Everything you need is in the apartment including sunshine from the balcony to air conditioning.Malta is very much a tourist treat now but there are many areas inland that have retained the old traditions.Masakala was

Coast/Beach:

The gorgeous shallow sandy beach is only a 2 mins away. Its small but safe and very clean and you will find that mostly the locals swim there. There are plenty of places to sunbathe on the smooth flat rocks, and to swim in the deeper areas with clear fresh water. There is a great bar/restaurant on the beach offering very reasonable priced food. Discover the amazing walks to the Munxar Peninsular along the white cliffs that overlook the fish farming fens.

Travel:

Luqa Malta's only airport is 20mins away. There is a very reliable taxi service directly at the airport that will charge you around €20 each way to the flat. They have someone there day and night. You will be met at the apartment by the lovely 'Rose' who will show you around and answer any questions you may have. You can hire a car very reasonably from the airport (about 20-25 Euros per day inclusive of fully comprehensive insurance).

Distances:

Malta is only 17 by 9 miles. Because its so tiny everything is very very close. you can get from the furthest distance point to point in about 45 mins. A car is really helpful and great fun. You can hire a small air conditioned car for about 25 Euros a day including all insurance. But the buses are also excellent, they are air-conditioned and take you everywhere. We have made a book up of all the places to see and visit, the trips available, bus timetables, restaurants we recommend and so on.

Further Details:

Its daunting when you arrive at a new place, not knowing where everything is. So hopefully we have made it easy for you by making up a welcome pack showing you were to go what to do and what to see etc. In the apartment you will find we have collated leaflets of trips, bus timetables, as well as books on Malta that you can read up on its glorious history. A '91 Arriva' bus can be caught at the bottom of the road which takes you to straight to Valetta the capital of the island. There are plenty of transport options and tours available and we shall be happy to recommend trusted taxis and car hire companies should you need them. There is a small shop round the corner called D&F Things Stationary, which we lovingly call 'the shop that never moves' due to its spelling of 'Stationary' with an 'a' rather than an 'e'. This family run shop owned by the lovely Dino and Francesca, is like a tardis and sells everything you could possibly need - including; wine, beer, freshly baked Maltese bread (amazing), incredibly farm fresh vegetables and fruit at supermarket prices. If you don't fancy cooking, you can grab some really cheep delicious food from the Pastizzeria down the road from 'Norbert' - try a ‘Pastizzi’ (small savory pasty made out of ricotta or peas), or try ‘Hobz biz-Zejt’ (the Maltese tuna roll) great for on the way to the beach, or a slice of pizza or timpana (baked macaroni) all delicious and very reasonable. Save some bread to throw in the sea and watch the thousand of fishes come to hungrily eat it up! and you will get a free fish pedicure! - forget those fancy spas! - just dangle your feet and let them nibble! There are dozens of excellent restaurants. We would recommend 'Tal Familia' a lovely place specializing in traditional Maltese food using fresh fish caught nearby. The quaint fishing village of Marsaxlokk is only a ten minute drive and has many lovely restaurants and cafes to sit and while away the time.
