About Liam & Fiona Travers
I come from a family background in the hospitality industry. I grew up in Kildare which is about 45 minutes from Dublin and worked for many years in my parents hotel there. I emigrated to New York for a number of years and when I returned in 1990 I purchased this property in Dublin City. As I am a qualified builder and carpenter I undertook to restore this house over a number of years and restore it to some of its former glory. As you can see from the pictures there are a lot of original features which I managed to retain and I am pleased that I can finally share them with people from all over the world. I am now living in Kildare again and am married with a daughter. As my parents before me I am committed to providing all of my guests with a wonderful holiday experience in a beautiful period house. I am available at all times for my guest either by phone or email and am happy to answer any query.

Why Liam & Fiona Travers chose Phoenix Park
I chose this location for the proximity to the city centre and of course the beautiful Victorian Redbrick lined North Circular Road. These properties are a feature of Dublin and are preserved by Dublin Council. The fact that the Phoenix Park and the Botanic gardens are within walking distances is an absolute plus, providing plenty of recreational activity. Numerous pubs, restaurants are within walking distance and I feel that the house provides a sense of character and charm not matched by modern buildings and houses.
What makes this Apartment unique
There are a number of benefits to staying in this property. Located close to the heart of the city of Dublin there is an excellant transport system by bus and light rail that means all of the sights can be visited with the minimum of fuss. The building itself is a beautiful Victorian property that has unique charm while offering all the modern comforts that a guest could expect. The location is ideal as it is quiet while being convenient to all shopping, sights, transport, museums etc. that makes a holiday. Located beside the Phoenix park which is Europe's largest urban park the traveller can have a taste of the country while still remaining in the city. There truly is something for everyone.

Great end to a good trip
Liam and Fiona were fantastic about helping with information. The apartment is perfect for 2 people and very conveniently located. We were able to walk almost everywhere we went and then take the bus back in the evening. I would absolutely suggest them to others!
Thank you so much Sarah for your wonderful review.
We hope to see you back at Glencourt sometime in the near future.
Nice little apartment
Small but tidy and in a good location for catching a bus or walking into city center.
Thanks Bill, hope to see you back at Glencourt soon again.
The studio is clean, modernized, right near bus stop and market/p.o., surprisingly quiet for urban neighborhood setting away from usual tourist route. We are walkers and found the trip into town an enjoyable walk down the hill. Caught a cab back if coming home later at night. Liam and Fiona were pleasant and helpful with any questions, and cabbie Vincent was prompt, courteous and informative. Book him for both pickup and return.
Thanks Suzanne for your great review.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and the local area.
Hope to see you back again sometime soon.

Great stay in Brendan Behan @ Glencourt Apartments
The Brendan Behan studio apartment was perfect & cozy for our Husband/Wife getaway. Communication with Liam & Fiona was superb from start to finish, they even arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport who was awesome, by the way. Plenty of space for two people with a comfortable bed and an amazing view of the entire city. The weather was unusually warm for Dublin during our stay, however, opening the windows gave us a nice breeze in the evening. The view from the bay window was amazing night and day. The studio had everything we needed and was close to attractions and activities without being in the middle of the busy city. The wifi, TV and all appliances we utilized worked perfectly. We were within a few minutes walk to the Tesco grocery store and never had any issues either walking to our destinations or finding transportation. I would highly recommend you contact Liam and Fiona for a stay in Glencourt Apartments the next time you visit Dublin.
Thank you Keith for your wonderful review.
We really appreciate it and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us.
We would love to welcome you back anytime to Glencourt.
Take care and best wishes to your wife.

Lovely studio apartment
Loved our stay at the "Top of the Building". The view from the top floor apartment was well worth the small climb. We could see out over Dublin.
Every need is considered--and even a small pile of staple groceries were stocked in the kitchen when we arrived. Two grocery stores are within easy walking distance. The bed was comfortable-and as it is a murphy bed could be moved out of the way during the day with little effort. Apartment was a very good money value.
Several attractions are within easy walking distance-including the zoo. We failed to discover how to use local buses and trams-but were able to walk to most activities and taxi home. Increase your enjoyment by researching how to get around a little more thoroughly before you come ! Several tourist booklets and brochures were in the apartment.
We recommend a visit to the Royal Stud Farm and also the seaside town of Howoth, if you have extra time to spend outside of Dublin.
Thanks Jan for your fabulous review.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

This house is a beautiful Victorian building on a tree lined street adjacent to the Phoenix Park and and Botanic Gardens situtated just 10 minutes by bus from the city centre.
There is an excellent public transport service right outside the front door so a car isn't necessary.
There is a major supermarket just 3 minutes walk away as well as a pharmacy, bakery, butchers, medical centre and a laundromat for guests that need this facility.
There are cafes, pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance (max 10 minutes) and one pub in particular plays traditional Irish music nightly and has to be visited during your stay. It's an old Irish pub and people gather nightly to play here. Not to be missed!
There are also excellent restaurants so if you don't want to cook you could pop into L. Mulligan's Bistro (check out the review it got in the NY Times), Plan B, Cucina, My Thai and various cafes for that all important cup of coffee and chat.
We have eaten in all of these establishments and we couldn't fault any of them so rest assured that you won't be disappointed.
If you plan on eating in the city then it's only a short bus ride or walk to find a wealth of restaurants and places to eat that will take your breath away. The quality and standard of food in Dublin not to mention the variety is second to none so there really is something for everyone.
There are also some takeaways nearby so if you don't want to cook or if you don't want to venture out this is an option also.
Following is a list of the some of the sights you would enjoy in Dublin.
All are within easy reach of our property and while there are many more than listed here we thought we would give you some to start with.
