Dalilea Croft is situated on the north west side of Loch Shiel, in an area known as Moidart in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Fort William is 30 miles to the east and the cottage is approximately seven miles from Acharacle, which has a good general store, post office, tea room, bakery and pub. There are several good restaurants in the area. Boat hire on Loch Shiel is available and fishing can generally be arranged. The traditional single storey cottage is integrated with an architect designed extension with glass end-elevation, providing spectacular loch views and surrounded by its own established garden which is well fenced and bounded to the south by a small burn. The garden is completely secluded, no other house is visible, with Ben Resipol to the south and Loch Shiel, a short walk across a field, to the west. When the water in the fresh water loch is low, a sandy beach makes an ideal picnic spot.
A get away from it all cottage in the hidden gem of Moidart, by Ardnamurchan. Perfectly situated for trips to Skye, Mull, the beautiful west coast beaches and hills.

Why Steven Mitchell chose Acharacle
It is located in an amazing part of Scotland - very rural, stuffed with wildlife and scenery - if you want to get away from it all, this is the place for you!
What makes this Cottage unique
This is a spacious cottage with two living areas and a large fenced garden.

I do not provide web-based reviews as these are not reliable. We and friends rely on personal contact recommendations. If the 'blurb' on a web site is found to be wholly accurate we will probably use the same website again. If not we will not. We are not pursusded by reviews at all. We prefer to deal direct with the owner about any issues. In this case the the inormation was slightly short of being accurate or wholly descriptive - 8.5/10 say.
Even better #newkitchen #newbathroom
Comfortable croft that works well for two individuals. We can come together when we want, but have our own space too with two bathrooms and two sitting areas. So peaceful, tucked away down a quiet lane with easy access to Moidart, Morvern, Sunart and Ardnamurchan. Comfortable and traditional but with a quirk and all some mod cons. No microwave, no internet, no TV, but who needs them? (Well actually, we had the odd breakfast/brunch in the Internet cafe, Cafe Tioram, to catch up on social media and download new programmes!!)
Beautiful Holiday Cottage
We had an amazing time at Dalilea Croft. Just a stones throw away from Loch Shiel. Great for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. We had a week of dog walks, bike rides, paddling in the loch, a trip on the Jacobite Steam Train and a boat trip on Loch Shiel. Absolutely stunning place to visit. Our two young children made memories they will forever cherish.
A beautiful croft with amazing space both inside and out.
This was our third trip and hopefully not our final one. The croft is well equipped with everything you need and has a beautiful garden, which our dogs loved running around in when they weren't exploring the surrounding area. A short walk out the back gate takes you to the lake shore and there is a stunning view from the small hill in the same field.
Isolated quite place
Although we first cleaned up the dogshit in the garden from a previous visitor, we found a clean cottage with all you need. Nice comfy fire and lots of space. We could hear and see birds and even spotted a fox. The surrounding is fantastic with lots of possibilities to walk.
A great holiday cottage beautiful location and the cottage is very comfortable and clean
Would recommend very highly
