About Bridget Sherwen
Recently retired from owning family run tourist attractions in the south east this has been our sanctuary away from the crowds for the past eleven years .Our fantastic house keeper has been with us all these years and is part of our family .Adris knows we need to unwind and chill out and that's exactly what we do .
Bridget Sherwen purchased this Condo in 2005
Why Bridget Sherwen chose Saint Georges
My husband first came to Grenada as second engineer on a super yacht when he was twenty and loved it .Our first holiday together we visited mourne rouge on a cruise ship not realising we would buy a condo there five years later !! We have renovated it ,put our personal stamp on it and love it ...and

Good appartment near BBC Beach
Mahogany Run nr 4 is a fine appartement for a few days or a week. The location is very good, quiet with a nice view. The house is very clean an has two perfect bedrooms, with nice and silent AC and very good beds. We outside terrace is good for breakfast, lunch or diner. Shaded with a lttle bit of sun. We found the lounge and kitchen too dark and full of stuff. Personally, we prefer a more clear appartment. We also missed some ammenities we did find in other appartments in Grenada, like washing up liquids, kitchen paper, sugar, salt and pepper. So don’t forget to bring your own.
Little bit of paradise
We enjoyed our second stay at Number 4. The apartment has sufficient outside space to satisfy our needs, more importantly there is sanctuary when the heavens open. Everything is provided to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and Adris looks after you and is a font of knowledge.
Thank you for the review...a delight have you return for a second visit !
Great apartment with perfect beach location
Our stay at Mahogany Run was everything we hoped for. The apartment comfortably housed 4 adults and came with a fully functioning kitchen. Morne Rouge beach is out the front door (and down a short flight of steps). We carried the kayaks down to the beach, kayaked and swam out to both peaks surrounding the beach, and found ourselves on a beautiful coral reef. (The beach itself is all sand, but the swim to the reef was only about 5 minutes). There are several bars and restaurants right on Morne Rouge - we ate most of our meals in our bathing suits while drying out and getting our land legs back.
Grand Anse beach is a 5-10 minute walk (depending how tired your legs are!) and has dive companies, bars and restaurants.
Bus route 1 runs right in front of Mahogany run and will take you to St. George for 2.5EC/person (10-15 minute ride). Just stand outside and they will stop and ask if you want a ride. You can also hire Chicco or the busses to take you on private tours of the island - including Etang Forest and Seven Sisters Falls (a must see).
Some of our favorite spots:
Umbrellas - on Grand Anse beach - great bar and restaurant with live music on the weekends
La Plywood - on Morne Rouge - fish tacos are on point
BBs Crabshack - great food in St. George
Thanks For the review Allie !
You sound as if you did pretty much exactly what our beachside home is meant for just chilling out ,unwinding.....and enjoying Grenada’s laid back hospitality.
Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and it was absolutely delightful. The apartment is clean and cozy and the garden is an amazing spot to sit outdoors and enjoy some shade. Steps away from Morne Rouge Beach and just a short walk to Grand Anse Beach. Great restaurants close by (La Plywood was the best rum punch ever) and easy to get to the shops by taxi for groceries etc. Our host answered all our questions and provided us with everything we needed for what was really a perfect holiday.
Great Location !
We enjoyed our stay in Mohogany Run. The appartment is comfortable and well maintained. The location is great , 2 minutes only from Morne Rouge beach and 10-15 minutes walk from Grande Anse Beach.
At Home in Grenada
We felt at home right away, especially since a driver was waiting for us at the airport, took us to the store to get groceries and helped us get into the apartment. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the inside/outside set up of this condo with it's own little, tropical garden. We could see a bit of Morne Rouge Bay and that was just enough since it was foliage in the way, not buildings. We saw our first Grenada sunset down on the beach there, had a nice visit with a local man and his visiting parents, and ate dinner at a restaurant there. This was all on our day of arrival and in walking distance. My husband was also able to walk to Dive Grenada for the dives he had set up. This was our first visit and we enjoyed Grenada and all the nice people we met, sights we got to see and great food we got to eat! Thanks for sharing your homey condo for us to call home for a little while.
Mourne Rouge beach is 2 minutes walk away at the bottom of the steps. It has white sand, and the sea is warm clear witha gentle shelving beach. It is not a busy beach however the Rum Runner from St Georges visits with cruise ship passengers. This brings local color for a time on some afternoons when cruise ships are visiting . Grenada's world famous 2 mile beach of Grande Anse is just over the headland ten minutes walk away. Many hotels ,bars, and shops are within walking distance. To rent a car is popular but not essential. We have a great taxi driver whose number is on our house mobile phone and local buses are colorful and cheap !
The Aquarium restaurant is a must on Sundays ..be sure to book a beach side table .All day bbq plus band ;great fun atmosphere.
St Georges spice market on Saturday morning is a must plus the fish market for bargains on fresh fish (take the freezer bag in the kitchen cupboard ).
The airport is ten/fifteen minutes from the apartment
The main town of St Georges is 10/15 minutes drive away in a taxi or hire car.
There are many local buses from the supermarket area. Driving in Grenada is on the left hand side and roads are mostly good.
There are forests, waterfalls and gardens in the centre and many other lovely beaches to visit.
There are some interesting plantations growing chocolate (an island speciality) and various spices (Grenada is the Spice Island) that are well worth a visit.
The apartment has 2 kayaks and snorkelling gear for your use.
There are two scuba diving schools very close by
There is a nine hole golf course near St Georges.
Sailing boats..mostly catamarans..can be hired from the hotels on Grand Anse beach...10 minutes walk away.
The Spice Island Mall is a shopping precinct with supermarket, bank, phone shop, etc is about 10 minutes walk (maybe 15mins in the heat of Grenada)
Local restaurant in short walking distance, also the beach bar is great for lunches.
There is a book in the apartment with all the information you will need about the apartment, the area and the island of Grenada.
