Independent entrance, terrace with uninterrupted views of the crystal clear cobalt sea. Tastefully furnished for your comfort, complete with ceiling fans, TV, Wifi, a terrace with shaded areas and comfortable furnishings for 'al fresco' dining.

CASA CRAVERI in Via Salita Lami, Canneto.
It's a fortified house, with thick walls, typical of its ancient origins. It is laid out on a single floor which overlooks two pedestrian lanes. The back along the road that leads to Lami. About 85 square meters. Comprising 2 double bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds, 2 bathrooms with shower and one with a washing machine. A kitchen with fridge, gas cooker with electric oven, dishwasher, a very large and comfortable living room, with dining table. The living room leads to a courtyard with dining table and iron chairs, it is dominated by a large banana tree that gives an Arabic feel. From the living room there is a staircase that leads to a huge terrace with two wrought iron tables, partly covered by an awning with a wonderful view over the Canneto bay and the islands of Panarea and Stromboli. The terrace is adjacent to a small flower garden in the typical Aeolian style (jasmine, bougainvillea, russelie, etc ...), and in the center a large cedar. A gate on the road provides an independent access route to the terrace.
The house is furnished with care and great taste: paintings, ceramics and books give it a pleasant family atmosphere. Also available in winter.
Whichever accommodation you choose, these islands will leave you wanting for more.
GREAT VALUE-FOR-MONEY - A real home to enjoy the sea, nature and a magical archipelago of Islands all different from each other, declared World Heritage. With a fantastic location in Canneto, this spacious accommodation with independent entrance, three openings onto the terrace with spectacular sea views, with kitchen, bathroom, a large double bedroom and a stylish living room with a double sofa bed. Ideal for a family with children or for 1 or 2 couples. The terrace overlooks the Unci Bay. A sea with beautiful backdrops, in all shades of blue narrated in many Homeric legends and myths. Waters so clear that you can see the fish close to the shore. A unique holiday in a charming place with millennia of history, art and traditions. Towering cliffs, caves and cliffs and Sandy white beaches to those wild lands rich in colourful hues from pink to yellow, due to the sulphur, paths that lead to prehistoric villages and an outline of islands like pearls in the blue sea.
The pictures advertised were very misleading - the view didn't look like this - there were overgrown bushes in the way. The Italian neighbours above and next door shouted all the time along with incessant crying children. We were out in the day but the quiet peaceful evenings were ruined. The steep unmaintained steps up to the apartment with luggage was another matter altogether. The property was clean, the staff were friendly, the beaches were lovely and the sun shone. But we won't be going back. Too noisy!
Siamo stati benissimo.
Appartamento davvero molto bello, pulito e spaziosissimo.
we were really satisfied with all. property was nice, like in the pictures, clean and very calm. the service was very good. From the place we lived its easy to reach Lipari city, were is the port to the other islands. In Canneto you find all you need. bars, supermarket, bakery, restaurant etc. A beautifull beach is very closed to the apartment. Trekking is wonderfull and the ways are easy to find.
I want to go there again and i would recommend the property to friends.
Nice small 1 bedroom with kitchenette and private bath. All you need for light meals and sleep. Great location for beach, grocery, and restaurants. Beautiful view over Canneto. Within walking distance to anywhere on the island, if you are in decent shape. One surprise was the charges for towels and sheets. Upon arrival there were 2 towels and one set of sheets and that was it for the week. Cost 13 euros per person was pretty steep for no change in sheets or towels for the entire week. Maybe being from the states I didn't understand this and that is just the way it is, but you are also charged a cleaning fee of 30 euros. Just felt more like a hotel then an apartment.
The flats are located well above the sea allowing an excellent view over Canneto Bay, and are shielded from any noise. They were part of an older mansion, and thus have thick walls that keep the heat out; and are pleasantly designed and furnished, with an ample terrace, itself well covered, in case you want to spend the whole time outside - something definitely recommendable given the large space. Indeed, one can imagine to spend the hottest hours there, strolling down to the beach (5 minutes) in early morning or the evening for a dip into the water. The nearby village, Canneto (5 min) is quite plain, but has all the necessary shops, pubs, bars, etc. (including 3 supermarkets, bakeries and butchers) for self-catering and an evening out. As an advantage, the village hasn't yet completely evolved into a tourist village, and so everyday life on the Aeolian Islands is in your neighborhood. For those wanting to walk within Liparian architecture, Lipari town is very pretty, and close, about 10 minutes by bus which departs near the flats. If really necessary, one can even walk there, though this may not be recommendable in the hottest hours of the day. Alternatively, hiking is a possibility, especially onto the hill located between Canneto and Lipari - it is virtually deserted, and offers stunning views.
Management of the flats is excellent, with quick responses to any needs. There are a few people looking after the flats, so there is always someone available. Pick-up from Lipari harbor was arranged and reliable.
The flat was handed over clean, with all necessary amenities, and continuous hot water. Wifi works well also on the terrace.
Lipari is an island in the Aeolian archipelago, off the coast of Sicily, formed by 9 volcanoes with fantastic cliffs, beaches and bays. Listed as UNESCO’s World Heritage for its unique nature and spectacular views. Splendid and unspoilt, different at various times of the day, with colours that reflect the bright sky, the sea is the element that dominates the horizon in Lipari. It is the sea of a thousand legends and Homeric myths. Pablo Neruda, very familiar with the Aeolian sea, said “Amo el mar porque me enseña”. Its sunny, ventilated and mild climate from April to at least mid November allows for all sorts of activities such as trekking, diving, fishing, snorkelling and swimming in such clear water. Rich of archaeological sites dating back to the Bronze age and Greek and Roman periods, the most interesting monuments are the Spanish Castle of the XVI century, the Cathedral rebuilt in the XV-XVI centuries and the Archaeological Eolian Museum.
