Coach House in Penzance, Cornwall, England, UK - Quiet Town Location 5 Mins Walk From Center
About Susanna Huntington
Private owner of property which has been in the family for 50 years + along with adjacent properties. We decided to renovate ( I am an architect) rather than sell to keep the property in a good state.
What makes this House unique
The house is 5 minutes walk from the centre of the town, but is very private in its mews situation. As it was originally part of a larger historic property listed Grade II, the gardens to the South are very private. So one is in a quiet secluded environment whilst being in the centre of the town.

Property clean and comfortable. Easy access to the town and amenities. Quiet, relaxing location. Would recommend HomeAway and the cottage to friends and family. The train trip to St Ives on the train was amazing and we had a n enjoyable day. A trip to St Michael’s Mount is also recommended for the history and views of the area. The tour guides give a good insight into the history of the castle mixed with some folklore.
Just a few days ....
This was a spotlessly clean cottage tucked away in a quiet spot above Penzance. The outstanding feature for me was the small but magical walled garden; it felt so peaceful and good to be away from the hustle of everyday life.
Simply great week away with family.
Lovely property, especially the garden and location
We loved the garden and walk to the beach. We loved Penzance.
Great base to explore Penzance and surrounding areas. The property had all we needed for our week stay would certainly recommend this location/property.
This property is in a great location 2 minute walk to the town centre . Great local pubs and cinema for those rainy days. Easy access to the A 30 for days out.
Penzance is well situated in the Lands End peninsular for beaches. Many good coves or sandy beaches within 15 miles.
Penzance railway station is terminal of national network. Direct trains and night sleeper trains from most major cities in UK.
Penzance has plane and sea ferry connections to Scilly Isles.
Nearest large airport is Newquay.
Local bus services are reasonable and local train connections to other towns reasonable eg: to St Ives, Falmouth, Looe.
Penzance is very central for all facilities in the Lands End Peninsular.
The area is interesting for its culture as a centre for painters and artists. Art galleries in St Ives and Newlyn.
Next to Penzance is Newlyn which is a major fishing port and has good fish and shellfish shops.
The North cliffs are a centre for climbers and are/used to be used by the Marines for training.
Many old tin mine buildings dot the landscape and moors. There are some which can be visited.
