DOS PALMERAS VILLA AND LOCTION ARE TRULY OUT OF THIS WORLD

Thank you so much for the best holiday we have ever had with our family. Words can not possibly say how incredible Dos Palmeras Villa is but I will have a go as I can not possibly recommend it any higher to future holiday makers,
The villa is out of this world and attention to detail is beyond belief, the interiors are immaculate and I can only dream of the kitchen being my own it is so beautiful with the beams and rock walls.
The lounge area is magnificent and I have never ever seen a ceiling like it, it must of been so very hard to build, the comfort of the entire villa is just wonderful and I would be so grateful if you could let me know what the mattresses are as my whole family have slept like logs as normally the mattresses in other villas we have stopped in are not comfortable at all.
Charlie and Amy loved the indoor games room and when we were not at the beach or exploring they lived in there. It was so special to be able to stay in your super villa Mrs Hindley because it is so unique, to have round and curved walls is so different to the normal life that we have in England and we absolutely loved it.
The decking outside area and gorgeous pool were immaculate and you can truly tell that it is maintained to the highest level. We spent many happy hours as a family sitting on the decking overlooking the pool that is lit up at night playing cards. It was so lovely because in this day and age all youngsters want to do is play on their Xboxes so I felt like I had my family back!! even though just for holidays im sure.
The walks on the park are simply divine and are detailed in the villa information book which was great, we stood overlooking the lakes and in my opinion they are better than the Lake District, this maybe because the sun was 37 degrees and glistening on the water but it truly was a sight to be seen.
We spent many happy hours walking along the Port and harbour at Mahon and a giant super yaught was in and rumoured to be occupied by Tom Cruise for which the atmosphere was intense but unfortunately no one came off the boat except for the immaculately dressed crew, but they even had guards standing at the gangway.
Thank you Mrs Hinley for the best holiday we have ever had and we will definitely be booking for next year very soon.

Lovely and peaceful
What a lovely villa. This property is very well maintained and gives the best in cleanliness and comfort. If you enjoy peace and quiet, then this is for you. Having said that, Mahon is only a six minute drive away, although you could be a million miles away, you wouldn’t know. We couldn’t get the tv to work, the signal is very poor, but when you’re on holiday why watch tv? The pool area is secluded and very attractive. I asked the owner a few questions prior to arriving and she was very attentive and responsive. Thank you for renting out your wonderful villa.
A great rural and peaceful haven
It's difficult to imagine a more peaceful and relaxing location than Dos Palmeras, situated in the middle of S'albufera des Grau natural park. The villa itself is spacious and very comfortable, decorated and furnished to a high standard. And with a wide range of amenities and features. The garden area is very attractive and well maintained, and there is a spacious decking area with large pool. Given the rural location, it's only a short distance to Es Grau, the local seaside village - very attractive in itself - and a little further to Mahon. So you have the best of both worlds. Highly recommended and we hope to return.

I don't normally write reviews, but on this instance i am compelled to do so. This is a simply stunning villa, set in a very relaxing location. The owners (Dianne & Vance) are lovely people who go out of their way to make your stay as accommodating as possible.If you are looking for a peaceful stay in Menorca, look no further than this villa.
Steer Clear - Wish we had never bothered.
On arrival (Aug 18) the pool was dirty and the air conditioning we had to pay extra for was broken. The "maintenance company" knew it was broken, but didnt tell us until we had arrived and queried it. There was no alternative offered and they said we could hire fans at our own expense. The pool man arrived the next day and left a note to tell us to keep the water level at a certain level during our stay. This villa is surrounded by trees and bugs are everywhere. With no air conditioning in the living areas we had to have the doors open and got bitten alive! 2 days in the only other aircon unit in the bedroom started leaking water all over the bed - we were told move the bed away and turn it off. We did - still no offer of an alternative solution to the lack of aircon. At this point we asked the owner (her company) to intervene, but it turns out the maintenance co is owned by the owner of the villa so no independent body to complain to. They are one and the same so you get nowhere. There was a storm and all the rooves started to leak - we had to put pans underneath and all the maintenance co told us was its perfectly normal. All the time they patronisingly call you lovey and darling and leave notices all over the house telling you what not to do. That house was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. If you want a nice relaxing holiday DO NOT go to this villa. When things are wrong you havent a hope of anyone doing anything about it. All you get are excuses.
We truly care very much indeed about each & every one of our many lovely repeat & new guests who visit Dos Palmeras Villa & it is our desire to ensure they have the most wonderful, happy & relaxing holiday. It is with regret upon this occasion we truly wish we had not accepted this clients booking for whom has shown no respect or kindness at all & retained a constant passive aggressive manner for which has been so very upsetting indeed. We sent HomeAway an 11 page detailed email explaining the truth & what actually happened against the fabrication & extreme over exaggerations for which this client alleged. HomeAway in response closed the case as resolved. In Menorca major sand storms occur from time to time & subsequently sand enters all swimming pools. On the day of our clients arrival the pool was chemically checked but the sand needed to settle prior to its removal. The following morning the pool was immaculately serviced & naturally water had to be added manually to bring the pool to the correct level. An engineer visited the villa upon our clients arrival day to check the electricity for which was reported tripping due to the storm. The engineer advised only 10 minutes prior to our guests text message that the cause was due to the Air Conditioning Unit in the kitchen. We notified the client immediately & offered a Full Refund for the Entire Air Conditioning Service. A fan hire was offered but the client refused & again the passive aggressive manner of his reply was unacceptable. The clients reference to bugs ? & being bitten alive is once again another one of the over exaggerations for which we have received. The bedroom air conditioning unit had not been switched off at all for days which is dangerous & subsequently frozen within, We advised the client to turn the unit off & wait for it to completely defrost prior to re using once again. The evening prior to our guests departure there was another extreme rain storm & within very hot countries the immediate climate change from sizzling heat to extreme rain fall (even upon new roofs) upon this occasion caused 2 tiny drips to occur. We truly care very much indeed about our lovely guests & to personally receive a complaint about our beautiful kind & warm service only indicates the manner & disrespect shown from this client. All correspondence has been documented & is available to view. Our client failed to mention one positive or kind comment about my beautiful villa which is so very upsetting indeed.
A DREAM VILLA IN A DREAM SETTING

Thank you for a wonderful holiday it was completely beyond our expectations.
We have visited many villas throughout the world and we have fallen in love with your villa and felt so very sad to leave. The villa is so unique and special and the only word to capture it is enchanting, the curves and design is so unusual and it feels so very homely with all the rock walls, wooden beams, and gorgeous kitchen Wow.
My husband Joseph is a master carpenter and was memorised by the amazing wooden beamed ceiling in the lounge and the craftsman ship for which was used. I can not put into words how much myself and Jo loved it and we felt so very relaxed we had a fabulous holiday. The service for which you provide Diane is excellent you are the perfect host and so very warm and kind and even when Villa Service came to check the oven they were lovely too ( I am so sorry it was working perfectly ) I knocked the switch upon the wall.
The setting of your villa is paradise and we ate many meals on the terrace over looking the swimming pool including breakfast too with only the sound of the birds in the distance to keep us company. Es Grau was so pretty with its narrow winding lanes and the beauty is you can park on the large carpark directly opposite the beach and take a slow walk through the village or head directly to the taverna which is actually on the beach and the sea views are divine.
The Indian Restaurant on the port of Mahon was exceptional but rather expensive compared to the UK but defiantly worth a visit. Thank you Diane for a wonderful holiday in your enchanting villa and we will defiantly be booking for next year. 5 star villa and 5 star service x

The beautiful beach at Es Grau is only a 5 min drive from the villa. This wonderful beach has a stunning beach bar under a canopy of palm trees situated directly on the sand , perfect for relaxing while the children play. The sea is said to be the warmest on the Island and shelves very gently for quite a way out so perfect for children. There are pedalos and canoes available to hire. A ten min drive from the villa will take you to the glorious Mesquida beach with very natural surroundings.
Travel:
Car hire is essential, however the wonderful natural beach of Es Grau with its tapas bars ,shops, restaurants, supermarket and cafes is only a 5 min drive away, the world famous and stunning Port of Mahon, with its multi million pound super yaughts and cruisers are a delight to see, the large cruise ships are also a sight to be seen. Bars, restaurants, shops and cafes line this amazing Port and it is only 7 mins drive from the villa. The Islands Capital Mahon is 7 mins drive. Airport 20 mins
Distances:
5 mins drive from the villa takes you to the beautiful village of Es Grau with lovely beach and amenities. 7 mins drive to Port of Mahon with magnificent boats, cafes, restaurants etc. The Capital town of Menorca is Mahon, which is steeped in history and architecture with museums, churches and many places of interest. The shopping here is wonderful with its designer shops, perfumeries, boutiques, cafes and a large twice weekly market making Mahon a number one tourist destination on the Island.

Located in Es Grau only 2 min walk from the beautiful natural sandy beach , you will discover a football pitch, basketball court and a childrens play park. 4 mins walk from the beach you will find the entrance to the natural lakes where a beautiful stone bridge can be found, this is the pèrfect place to feed the abundance of wild ducks
(dont forget to take some bread with you) and birds that live in these waters, herons and even a flamingo have been seen here. The boardwalk will take you through the reserve where you will see more birds, wildlife and enjoy the spectacular scenery. In Mahon which is only 7 mins drive from the villa you will find a large selection of banks, chemists, internet cafes and shops. The nearest supermarket is found in the village of Es Grau which is only 5mins by car, or the larger supermarkets can be found in Mahon only 9 mins by car away.
