A new light and airy 2 bedroom bungalow

Completed 2009 this holiday let has a master with double bed and a single bedroom with bunk beds. There is a large dining room/sitting room with kitchen off. The bathroom has bath and shower over. For winter breaks/short breaks the property has full gas central heating. Entrance to the property is via level ground and therefore suits those who struggle with steps. All items were new in 2009 including cooker/fridge/freezer, 32 In. TV/DVD player. The spacious accommodation is light and airy with plenty of room for the young to roam. There is an enclosed garden area for sole use including patio area with table and chairs however guests are encouraged to use the main properties garden which has a large trampoline.

A barbecue is available for guests, baby sitting can be arranged.

The price includes electric and gas (supplement required for winter bookings). Towels and bed linen are also provided. Some beach items are available.

Redruth; Historically the worlds mining capital : Cornwall, and in particular Redruth,is well known for its mining history. The area shows many of the old mine workings some of which have been partially restored and now provide excellent informative walks. the Great Flat Load allows visitors to enjoy the area on cycles. For the more adventurous the restored tram way from Portreath to Devoran enables vistors to cycle from one side of the coast to the other; a total of 11miles. There are two cycle hire stores nearby one just outside Portreath and the second at Bissoe.

The Gold Centre is just over a mile away and some of the old ore dressing workings are operational.

At Pool (2miles) the working beam engine of East Pool mine and across the road the larger but not yet fully restored beam engine of the East Pool and Agar mine provide and insight into mining conditions of yesteryear.

Local beaches: Buzzards Cottage is an ideal location to visit the numerous beaches. Whilst Porthtowan and Portreath are only 2.5 miles away the property makes getting to other coasts extremely easy. Falmouth; Newquay; St Ives and Penzance are only some half an hour away whilst the 7 miles of Golden Sands at Godrevey through to Hayle are only 9 miles away.

Why not visit Falmouth utilising the unusual Park and float scheme. This allows visitors to park in Penryn and travel into Falmouth by boat. For a small additional fee you can venture across to St Mawes. A pleasant trip even if you don't have great sea legs.....

Truro City: The city of Truro is only 9 miles away by car whilst the park and Ride scheme is only 7 miles away. Truro with its cobbled streets;magnificient Cathedral and the entertainment facility at the Hall for Cornwall provides something for all ages.

Super cottage in brilliant location

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely cannot fault our stay at Buzzards Cottage! Mike and Caroline were so welcoming - the scones and wine were much appreciated after our journey! The location is fantastic and our girls loved the trampoline! Beds super comfy and cottage equipped with everything you could need. Will definitely be back and have recommended to family and friends.

Fantastic Break

  • 5 of 5

The property was very comfortable and welcoming, as were Mike and Caroline. We were greeted with wine, fresh eggs from then hens, and freshly made scones on arrival. We couldn't fault the property or the location. Our two young daughters loved the trampoline! They also loved their Easter eggs; their reward for colouring in a goose egg each as part of a competition Mike and Caroline gave them.

Fantastic value for money, and we hope to return. Have already recommended to a number of friends.

Although close to the A30, you wouldn't know it from the low noise level from the traffic.

Brilliant!

We've just got back from an excellent week at the cottage. I can't praise it highly enough. Mike and his family went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The cottage is superb. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. It was the perfect base for our holiday in Cornwall.

My disabled partner & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the bungalow. Lovely bungalow in a good position for all attractions and cycle trails. Very comfortable home from home like, everything that you possibly needed, welcome gift on arrival - Bottle of wine, eggs, milk, tea & coffee. Beds were comfortable, along with the sofas, Mike & his family made us very welcome & Puppy/Dumpey the dog was gorgeous, very friendly.

I would definitely recommend and am most certainly going back!

A great New Year's Eve Break

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely bungalow set in the grounds of the owners property. The bungalow is very modern & well equipped & is in a perfect location for getting around Cornwall without having to drive too far. Booking was easy and good value for money especially at New Year. We would certainly recommend staying here.

Numerous local attractions exist for the young. A pub with good local food and a shop are both less than one mile.
