About Dr David / Elizabeth Merrett
We are recently retired general dental practitioners who have purchased this property with the aim of providing a very comfortable well equipped holiday let in what must be the most beautiful costal area in the U.K. The property has sea views and is within walking distance of the beach and harbour yet is situated in a quiet cul de sac offering peace and tranquillity.
Dr David / Elizabeth Merrett purchased this Bungalow in 2011
Why Dr David / Elizabeth Merrett chose Saundersfoot
We have always enjoyed family holidays in this beautiful part of the world and chose this property because it enjoys sea and costal views to the front and is approx half a mile from the centre of Saundersfoot which has a pretty harbour and beautiful sandy beach. There is a spa hotel, a variety of shops, top class restaurants and pubs within walking distance. It is also central to visting the many attractions in the area.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The property has sea views and is within walking distance of the beach and harbour yet is situated in a quiet cul de sac offering peace and tranquillity. Off road parking space for 2 cars.
Please ask the owner or check their rental agreement when booking the property.
What a perfect place to base yourself for a break in Saundersfoot. A home away from home with beautiful sea views, which made washing up a pleasure (there is a dishwasher but who minds doing the dishes when the view is so divine).
The garden is a perfect sun trap, not overlooked and very safe for children. St Brides is a short stroll away and the village of saundersfoot at the bottom of the hill.
This is my third visit to the property and I will definitely be going back soon. I have been during both the winter and the summer and it has been perfect every time
So glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again.
A lovely comfortable bungalow with great views
This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here, we had such a good holiday last time we had to come back. As before the bungalow was spotless and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable break in a wonderful part of Wales. We were particularly impressed with the kitchen and garden equipment - lovely comfortable chairs to take in the great views from the garden - in the morning watching the sunrise over the Bay is a real joy. Saundersfoot is a lovely town to wander around and take in the atmosphere whilst enjoying a coffee on the harbour side, the Harbour Bar & Restaurant was good and has improved out of all recognition We really liked Pendine Beach and would recommend a visit to the Dyfed Shire Horse Centre knowing after a busy day you can come back to the bungalow and relax for the evening.
Thank you for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay & hope you will return.
Beautiful property in ideal location
Well appointed and maintained property with impressive views over Saundersfoot week. My family and I (2 adults 2x children) stayed for a week in June. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed sampling the local restaurants and shopping in nearby Tenby and Narbeth. It is ideally located for family favourites such as Folly Farm and Heatherton. The owner was really helpful. We had such an enjoyable we are going to rebook for 2019.
Thank you for your kind comments. We to see you again in the near future.
Beautiful property- easy living in Saundersfoot
This superbly presented property was ideal for our family of four. This was a return visit for us with two young children and again it didn't disappoint. The house is ideally situated a short walk from the town centre, beach and St Brides Hotel for relaxing and spa facilities. We really enjoy Folly Farm and nearby Tenby and Narberth. Everything we needed was provided including high chair, children's plates, bowls and cutlery and travel cot. The beds were very comfy and lounge area nice and roomy- living is easy here. We will definitely return again soon!
THANK YOUFOR YOUR KIND REMARKS.WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON
Defo worth a return visit
Back again for the second time this year. You can’t tire of the view from the kitchen, watching the sun come up over the beach makes doing the dishes a pleasant experience.
The first time I have been in the summer and it was lovely to sunbathe in the completely secluded garden listening to the birds. The best of both worlds, peaceful but only a short walk down the hill into saundersfoot itself. A little pit stop in St Brides on the way back up makes the hill bearable.
I will definitely be going back again
Thank you for your nice comments. Hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic bungalow & garden - very well maintained
Absolutely fantastic bungalow, furnished to a very high standard and has everything that you would need, including fabulous views over Saundersfoot. Such a great location, we loved being able to walk down to the seafront - albeit a bit of a steep climb coming back, but well worth it. Very spacious inside with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. We always looked forward to returning back to our 'cosy holiday home' to relax after a long day site seeing around Pembrokeshire. Would definitely recommend a stay here, we hope to return next time we are visiting Wales.
