About Jayne Rossell
We are a couple living and working here in Cala Ratjada. We love the sea and spend as much time as possible on our boat, fishing and diving. We travel a lot mainly during the winter months. We enjoy cooking with the local products from the land and the Mediteranean sea.

We love this area because it's the ideal place to live, by the sea, it has a wonderful climate, no polution, it's peaceful and has a friendly community. And it is only it's only an hours drive to the airport and the port.

Friendly and helpful owners. Perfect accommodation that is private from owners main accommodation. Well equipped and spacious. Lovely area for sitting out, relaxing and listening to the sea. Short walk to sea and beaches. Restaurants and shops nearby.

Jayne and miguel are excellent hosts and really helpful with local whilst respecting your privacy. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and completed to a high standard. The location is far enough from the town centre to be quiet but also within easy walking distance of a good range of restaurants. Would highly recommend :-)
Canny apartment with sea view!
Great location and base for us to explore the north and east of the island. Perfect little apartment with all facilities required for our stay. Comfy bed, great kitchen facilities and outdoor barbque. Outdoor terrace has sea view and is very private, sunny in morning and shaded in the afternoon which was welcome in the hot humid conditions. Short walk to nearest beach and great snorkelling off the rocks in the clearest torquoise waters you can imagine. Marina and centre of town can be reached along coastal footpath. Favourite beach was Cala Agulla (parking €5) and Cala Molto is just a short walk across headland to a pretty little natural cove with excellent swimming and snorkelling.

Great location
It was our first time in Mallorca and we loved it. The apartment was so clean and fresh with everything we needed and so comfortable. The outdoor patio area was spacious and so sunny from early morning to after lunch. The sea is just at the end of the road and you can swim from the rocks or walk along to the beach at Son Moll (and others). We hired a car so visited lots of different beaches and towns, but I reckon you could get around easily by bus. Jayne and Miguel were so friendly and welcoming and were really helpful when we wanted to book a balloon flight and also for local recommendations. Highly recommended.
Excellent 2 weeks in a superb apartment.
My wife and I had a most enjoyable two weeks in this really excellent apartment. A large and secluded patio well provided with table, chairs and loungers. Very private although Jayne and Miguel were on call if anything was needed. They are a very welcoming couple and we highly recommend their apartment for a relaxing stay.

Great little place.
I agree with Alison B.; this is a lovely little place to stay. We hired bikes for a few days and they were perfect for nipping in and out of town along the seaside path. Cala Ratjada is quite a busy place with lots of places to eat and drink, and some big sandy beaches, which get very crowded in summer. But if you are prepared to venture a bit further afield there are some isolated quiet places. We took beach shoes with us, which are ideal for walking over sharp rocks to get into the sea where there is no beach, and then the schnorkelling is great.
Location
The apartment is situated right on the coast and the sea is just a few steps away where you can sunbathe, swim, snorkle or fish. We can provide you ( free of charge ) with sunshades, beach towels, snorkle gear and fishing tackle. The beautiful promenade will take you from the apartment by the coast to the Fishing Port and Marina of Cala Ratjada,where it is possible to rent a boat ( without a licence ), join a diving expedition or go on an early morning trip to see the dolfins.
Cala Ratjada has many Restaurants, Bars and shops.
The sandy beach of Son Moll is a 10 minute walk away and has all the beach amenities, beach bar, restaurant, shower and toilets. You can hire paddle boats and wind surfing boards. The beautiful beaches of Cala Gat and the famous unspoilt beach of Cala Agulla are a 20 minute walk away. ( Only 5 minutes by car ).The Font de Sa Cala beach is also a 20 minute walk away.
Capdepera, which is the nearest interior village, is well worth a visit to see it's 13th century castle and local market.
Arta's Tuesday market is one of the best on the island and the picturesque village is a must, as are the fantastic caves of Arta.
There are lots of first class tennis clubs, 2 of them are a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The international golf clubs, of which there are 3 in this area, are a 5 minute drive away.
Travel:
The international airport, Son San Joan, is 72 km from Cala Ratjada. Ther are numerous hirecar companies, buses and taxis.
There is a ferry that connects Cala Ratjada (Mallorca) to Ciutadella (Menorca)
1 hour trip.
Distances:
The village of Cala Ratjada is 2km away with it's working fishing port, Nautical Club, shops, restaurants, bars and discos. The old village of Capdepera is 2km away with it's castle and battlements and local wednesday market.
The historical town of Arta is 10km away, it has a castle, churches and a main street with shops, bars and restaurants. Tuesday is buzzing with the locals at the market selling local products. Arta has 2 virgin beaches 6km away and the famous caves of Arta.
