My family have been visiting this area for decades, and were delighted when Bryn Tirion became available in 2007. We go as often as we can, but are pleased we are able to share the cottage with others - our guest book speaks for itself!
Why Val chose Morfa Nefyn
We love Lleyn Peninsula and the Morfa Nefyn area because it has a beautiful unspoilt coastline and is only a couple of hours from our home in South Manchester. The beaches were featured in the Sunday Times best UK beach review and many are national trust owned, including Porthdinllaen only a short walk from Bryn Tirion with the award winning Ty Coch pub right on the beach. The area also has one of the most picturesque golf courses in the UK including 27 holes with unrivalled sea and mountain views.

A gem in Morfa Nefyn
Having been a visitor to Morfa Nefyn for many years it was great to find a secluded new place to rent and spend a wonderful long weekend at.
This is a beautiful cottage-style property. It's well-equipped and in a lovely, rural spot with the only traffic heading to neighbouring properties. There's no through traffic.
It's still a simple stroll to the shops in Morfa Nefyn and a little further to the beach and golf club but all are within reach.
We loved it so much we have booked again for next year.
Thank you Pam and David for your wonderful review on Bryn Tirion. I am delighted that you enjoyed the cottage and look forward to welcoming you again in July next year, and hope you will become one of a growing number of repeat bookers.
Well equipped, comfortable cottage
The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Would be happy to stay there again.
Many thanks for your review. I'm very pleased you found the cottage clean and comfortable, which is what we aim for at the very least for our guests. We have many repeat bookers and would welcome you again at Bryn Tirion.
Please let me know if you have any specific dates in mind, as some weeks have already been booked for 2018
Very disappointing experience
We felt very let down with our stay at Bryn Tyrion. In our bedroom, the shower control button did not work and could only be operated by the cord by the door. I don't think the room had been properly cleaned for months, there was a thick layer of dust under the bed. When we went in to the room I found a small length of bracelet chain lying on the rug, so that had not been shaken out prior to our arrival. In the double bedroom the runners on the wardrobe are disgustingly filthy making the doors very difficult to slide.
Downstairs. Again, the kitchen has an air of being desperately in need of a thorough scrub.
Someone needs to go through the cupboards and have a good clear out. I can imagine that a lot of the utensils have not been used in years.
The same with the utility room, some of the jars and containers that people have left behind must have been there for months, if not from last year. It needs a ruthless sort out and a coat of paint or make-over to freshen it up.
2 of the dining room chairs were broken and unsafe to sit on. The piles of records on the floor only help to gather in the dust.
The garden is very nice except that, again, it is in need of some TLC. The hedge needs cutting down so people can see the view across the fields.
Bryn Tyrion has the potential to be an extremely nice holiday cottage and we would certainly have booked again for next year had we enjoyed our experience.
One gets the impression that it is just there to make money with the minimum of expenditure.
We have been going to Morfa Nefyn for many years now and this does not rate very highly among the properties that we have rented, we certainly do not feel it is value for money.
Thank you for bringing these comments to my attention. We have not received a negative review in the 10 years we have let out our holiday accommodation. We will address the points you have raised.
The cottage is cleaned every week and has a deeper clean every six weeks. However I acknowledge your comments I have passed the comments about cleaning to my cleaner and will ensure these issues do not occur again, and apologise for your disappointments.
All items left on the shelves are available for guests to use and are within date, and cleared out at the end of the season. Our guests find it helpful to have basic kitchen supplies provided at the cottage.
The hedges are cut twice a year, and were cut immediately after your visit on the 4th August as this is the first available date after the bird nesting season. It is illegal to cut hedges between April and the end of July.
I am sorry that you found the showers a problem. The showers were working before and after your visit as we stayed at the property for our holiday immediately after your stay.
A charming cottage peacefully located in a great seaside village
We are regulars at this pretty cottage, and always look forward to our visits. We welcome the peaceful location and the lovely garden, and Morfa Nefyn is one of our favourite villages on the Llyn. On the practical side, we love having the Aga on for our Easter visits and it's great to have a good selection of crockery and glasses. We also find the 2nd (en-suite) bathroom invaluable. Wi-fi seems good but TV reception has a tendency to drop mid-programme - that's our experience anyway. We look forward to future visits. A Barter
Thank you for your comments. So pleased you enjoyed your visit here again. Looking forward to welcoming you again soon
Beautiful Cottage, Stunning location.
This is the second time we have stayed at Bryn Tirion, this time the decision was that of my eleven year old daughter, so that in itself should be enough of a recommendation.
The cottage is down a secluded road, and this gives it it's tranquillity, tastefully and practically decorated, it gives an old world charm with all modern convenience, TV, DVD player, WiFi and even a stack of vinyl records to play on a Pye Stereogram, there are books and games for all to use, lovely garden with a barbecue at the end, the kitchen has all modern appliances as well as an electric AGA, which keeps it cosy and there is always a place to boil the kettle. The location of Morfa Nefyn is ideal, local shops, garage and post office, check out the Ty Coch Inn on the beach, travelling around the Lleyn Peninsula will uncover many mor amenities to keep all the family occupied, Many Thanks to Val for letting us use this wonderful place, I am sure we will return.
A Great Break
We stayed at the cottage for a family birthday getaway and had a wonderful time. This is the ideal location to get away from the city and relax in wonderful surroundings. The house is lovely and very comfortable. It has a nice style to it particularly the dining room with 60s stereogram. The garden is well kept and I imagine this looks even better in the summer. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to all communications. I would definitely reccomend this property for a quiet family break.
Hi Matt. So glad you enjoyed bryn tirion. The vinyl records are a hit with many of our guests. There's something for everyone. Hope you return one day.
