Cottage in Morfa Nefyn, North Wales, UK - Bryn Tirion - Beautiful Cottage Set In Its Own Private Gardens, 15 Mins Walk From Beach
- Calendar last updated:
- 4 Dec 2018
My family have been visiting this area for decades, and were delighted when Bryn Tirion became available in 2007. We go as often as we can, but are pleased we are able to share the cottage with others - our guest book speaks for itself!
Why Val chose Morfa Nefyn
We love Lleyn Peninsula and the Morfa Nefyn area because it has a beautiful unspoilt coastline and is only a couple of hours from our home in South Manchester. The beaches were featured in the Sunday Times best UK beach review and many are national trust owned, including Porthdinllaen only a short walk from Bryn Tirion with the award winning Ty Coch pub right on the beach. The area also has one of the most picturesque golf courses in the UK including 27 holes with unrivalled sea and mountain views.

Quiet and comfortable
A really quiet, peaceful and comfortable house in a good location, well placed for walking in the countryside or on the coast.
Many thanks for your review. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Bryn Tirion.
I do hope that you will come back another time
Perfect homely cottage with great garden space within walking distance to the beach
This property is on the outskirts of Morfa Nefyn so very quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of space for all of us, a great property for a family get together. Everything was clean and tidy the kitchen was well equipped for family cooking. We enjoyed a playing some old vinyls on the Pye record player which set the tone for our relaxing holiday! The outdoor area was a delight which included table chairs and parasol we were lucky and ate outside every day. The garden was well laid out and very private with plenty of space for outdoor games. We had the added bonus of being able to use a beach hut with chairs and parasol on Nefyn beach so made good use of the picnic hamper at the cottage and could have spent the whole holiday there. We enjoyed the local coastal walks from the cottage. We also visited Anglesey and Snowdonia and our younger members enjoyed paddle boarding at nearby Abersoch.
Val the host was excellent and went above and beyond to make our stay a very memorable one. We hope to return in the future and can highly recommend this property whether you like chilling at the beach or something a bit more strenuous.
I’m delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Bryn Tirion this summer.
Looking forward to welcoming you back in the the future

A gem in Morfa Nefyn
Having been a visitor to Morfa Nefyn for many years it was great to find a secluded new place to rent and spend a wonderful long weekend at.
This is a beautiful cottage-style property. It's well-equipped and in a lovely, rural spot with the only traffic heading to neighbouring properties. There's no through traffic.
It's still a simple stroll to the shops in Morfa Nefyn and a little further to the beach and golf club but all are within reach.
We loved it so much we have booked again for next year.
Thank you Pam and David for your wonderful review on Bryn Tirion. I am delighted that you enjoyed the cottage and look forward to welcoming you again in July next year, and hope you will become one of a growing number of repeat bookers.
Well equipped, comfortable cottage
The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Would be happy to stay there again.
Many thanks for your review. I'm very pleased you found the cottage clean and comfortable, which is what we aim for at the very least for our guests. We have many repeat bookers and would welcome you again at Bryn Tirion.
Please let me know if you have any specific dates in mind, as some weeks have already been booked for 2018
Very disappointing experience
We felt very let down with our stay at Bryn Tyrion. In our bedroom, the shower control button did not work and could only be operated by the cord by the door. I don't think the room had been properly cleaned for months, there was a thick layer of dust under the bed. When we went in to the room I found a small length of bracelet chain lying on the rug, so that had not been shaken out prior to our arrival. In the double bedroom the runners on the wardrobe are disgustingly filthy making the doors very difficult to slide.
Downstairs. Again, the kitchen has an air of being desperately in need of a thorough scrub.
Someone needs to go through the cupboards and have a good clear out. I can imagine that a lot of the utensils have not been used in years.
The same with the utility room, some of the jars and containers that people have left behind must have been there for months, if not from last year. It needs a ruthless sort out and a coat of paint or make-over to freshen it up.
2 of the dining room chairs were broken and unsafe to sit on. The piles of records on the floor only help to gather in the dust.
The garden is very nice except that, again, it is in need of some TLC. The hedge needs cutting down so people can see the view across the fields.
Bryn Tyrion has the potential to be an extremely nice holiday cottage and we would certainly have booked again for next year had we enjoyed our experience.
One gets the impression that it is just there to make money with the minimum of expenditure.
We have been going to Morfa Nefyn for many years now and this does not rate very highly among the properties that we have rented, we certainly do not feel it is value for money.
Thank you for bringing these comments to my attention. We have not received a negative review in the 10 years we have let out our holiday accommodation. We will address the points you have raised.
The cottage is cleaned every week and has a deeper clean every six weeks. However I acknowledge your comments I have passed the comments about cleaning to my cleaner and will ensure these issues do not occur again, and apologise for your disappointments.
All items left on the shelves are available for guests to use and are within date, and cleared out at the end of the season. Our guests find it helpful to have basic kitchen supplies provided at the cottage.
The hedges are cut twice a year, and were cut immediately after your visit on the 4th August as this is the first available date after the bird nesting season. It is illegal to cut hedges between April and the end of July.
I am sorry that you found the showers a problem. The showers were working before and after your visit as we stayed at the property for our holiday immediately after your stay.
