We had a wonderful 3 weeks at Andres villa. It was clean and spacious.
Had a lovely stay at Villa Athina. It was very relaxing and had absolutely stunning views of the beach.
It was quite a trek down to the beach it took 40 minutes to walk. The Villa was bright an airy and very spacious. I would definitely recommend using a car for staying at the villa to get out and about. The locals were very friendly.
We stayed for 10 days in September. A totally relaxing holiday (despite the barking dog down the hill!), the villa is superbly situated overlooking the sea. It is well equipped and very comfortable. Car essential and Polis is a short drive away with superb restaurants. The Santa Barbara resto and beach bar on the main road at the bottom of the hill is also excellent, warm and welcoming. Plenty of walks and bird spotting to be had as well. All in all a great time and we will hopefully return again.
We had a great holiday at this villa. The views were amazing and the area was very quite and relaxing. The villa has two floor fans which we found a great help as the air con units didn't work that well.
On a negative side the pool lining had not been cleaned as the pool water appeared a green/yellowish colour for our first week, but it was cleaned during the 2nd week of our stay. Also, some of the pillows on the beds need to be changed as they are stained.
Great location, super villa!
Enjoyed two relaxing weeks at Villa Athina. Peaceful location, but with plenty of options for shopping and sightseeing in the area. Great local produce, particularly many options for fresh bread/pastries in the numerous bakeries. Splendid view of the coastline with spectacular sunsets. Villa all as described and owner efficient and pleasant to deal with. Pool area was private, not overlooked with options for both sun and shade throughout the day. Outside dining table and BBQ ideal and bedrooms all ensuite which is super for larger groups. Plenty of options for daytrips by car and bike hire from Savvas shop in Polis allowed us to enjoy rides along the coast road, to the local monastery ruins and to swim in the sea from the pier. Good selection of boat trips from Latchi, just a few miles away and would recommend a visit to Aphrodite's Rock brewery which you'll pass on the main road from Paphos to Polis. Nominate a non-drinking driver and try a 'paddle' of their ales followed by stocking up in their shop!
Quiet location overlooking sea
The Villa was a nice size for a large family group. Equipment and furnishing were excellent. Outdoors there was the lovely pool with a good shallow to deep layout with expansive views of the sea. The sunsets were fantastic. The location was quiet and quite rural but still only a short drive from Polis.
A little further along the coast from Polis is the seaside resort of Latchi with its recently opened 200 berth marina. Here you will find an array of inviting sea-front tavernas with a superb selection of fresh fish and seafood served daily. Just beyond Latchi you will find the well known 'Baths of Aphrodite' and for nature lovers the protected Akamas Peninsular an area particular suited to walkers and adventurers. Polis which is approx 10 kilometres away offers the nearest organized beach.
Paphos International Airport is approximately 45 minutes drive to our villa. A car is advisable and can be hired directly from the airport.
Argaka is a beautiful and unspoilt village on the west coast of Paphos with many deserted beaches and orchards. With its laidback atmosphere you will find a number of restaurants dotted along the coastline. Polis is the nearest town which hosts a number of cafes, tavernas and restaurants huddled around a pedestrianised square, and only a 10 minute drive. A few minutes further is the seaside resort of Latchi. Here you will find an array of sea-front tavernas serving freshly caught fish.
Polis is the principal town for the region, huddled around a pedestrianised square where visitors and locals gather in the mornings to enjoy a coffee and watch the world pass by and in the evenings to dine at one of the wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes which radiate out from the centre. The town has an archaeological museum and cultural centre. Moving away from the coastal areas to venture a little further inland, you can explore some of the villages off the beaten track where you'll discover such delights as village cultural centres and museums, galleries, churches and wineries with free wine tasting!
