About Francoise Lamb
This is our family home away from home. We bought the property 13 years ago and have enjoyed many years of holidays and long weekends. We enjoy entertaining our friends and family, including 3 young grandchildren, all of whom find the property, its facilities and location out of this world. It has to be seen to be believed. I hope you can share a pleasurable time at our house, La Caze.
Francoise Lamb purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Francoise Lamb chose Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers
Quite simply look at the photos... they speak for themselves!!!
Pool / Spa
Picturesque property with spectacular views
Thank you so much for creating such a lovely house. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you so much for the welcome basket too.We loved sitting out on the terrace for a BBQ and of course enjoying the lovely pool. Unfortunately the weather was not great after the first 3 days so we never got to try the river .
The location was superb and we loved watching the constant soaring of the vultures above our heads. There was loads to do in the area so we knew one week would not be nearly enough. We particularly enjoyed kayaking, the caves at Aven Armand, Castle Peyrelade and driving through the Gorges du Tarn. There are certainly some interesting roads including the drive down to the house!
It was a perfect escape from the noise and bustle and we would love to return again.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are really please to know that you had a lovely holiday. We certainly would love you and your family to return another year. Please do and tell your friends about it.
A slice of heaven on earth !
Once bitten, forever in love with this beautiful house and location !! lazy days & evenings around the pool, barbeque, or in local restaurants and shops, walking, swimming and kayaking in the gorges and staring up into an amazing night sky, the view surrounding this comfortable well equipped beautifull house is nothing short of spectacular. there's activities everywhere for every taste within short distance drive from La Caze, just home from my second holiday at La Caze, i am spell bound by this house, i promise you won't be disappointed, Please Francoise will you have me and "family" back next year !?
You, your friends and family are a joy to have!! We would love you to come back and stay with us every year. Henri and Gisele keep commenting on how lovely and friendly you all are. Thank you again for being some ' Very Special Friends of 'La Caze'.
Spacious, Quiet, relaxing family home
Arrived to a clean and tidy home and thank you very much for the wine which we enjoyed that evening with our meal. Everything was very comfortable, the beds were the best I have slept in compared to all the other properties we have stayed in. It was a good location to visit various places of interest ie; the Vulture Sanctuary - which was just magic watching them fly above you. The Dangilan caves about 30 mins drive and the Wolf sanctuary at Les Loups du Gevaudan about 1hr drive. Carcassonne is worth the drive fantastic place to see. The restaurants in the nearest village were good. Henri's place above the property offered the best coffee. A very enjoyable 2wks and would highly recommend to friends or relatives.
Wonderful villa in an amazing location
Wow, what a location... sat in the heart of the valley, totally private and secluded spot... vultures soaring overhead (a good thing!). Suggest a refreshing morning dip in the river, which sits about 50 paces from the back door.
The villa was exceptional, everything we needed and more. Great pool for the kids, fantastic outdoor BBQ space, very comfortable. Just take care managing the airflow around the top of the building as it can get a little hot if you leave the windows open during the day.
So much to do in the area, Kayaking, Canyoning, hiking, Go Ape. We enjoy wild swimming in the rivers and the places we found were stunning.
The local town was 10 minutes by car, lots of amenities, foody shops, bars and some good restaurants... La Grange Templiere (other side of river) was a favourite.
I highly recommend this villa to anyone, it had the best all round package (villa, location, stuff to do) of ANY villa I've stayed in to date... and I've been to a few. Well worth the cost.
My second visit to this immaculate property in a stunning rural setting by the river Jonte. Whilst ideal for climbers, cyclists, canoeists, La Caze also appeals to those of us who value pure air, the sounds of nature nearby, walking to tiny hamlets or watching the vultures up on Les Causses. The nearest town is Millau, although there are eating and shopping facilities at the villages of Le Rozier and Meyrueis. The owner Francoise is bi-lingual and it is a privilege to stay in her beautiful home; one week just wasn't enough! Thank you.
In touch with Nature
This beautiful house, in a sublime location, is so much more than a holiday let - it is a house with a soul. The owner of the property has immaculate taste and has created a stylish living space that offers peace and tranquility in magnificent surroundings. The breakfast terrace was a favourite spot overlooking the murmuring river and the verdant landscape; the larger terrace, complete with bar and barbecue, afforded the whole family hours of entertainment in the lovliest of surroundings and away from the heat of the day. La Caz also boasts a swimming pool with a jacuzzi as well as its own private stream - so many delightful spots to relax and unwind.
Having never visited the area before, we were stunned by the spectacular scenery: mountains, rivers, lakes, cathedrals and chateaux which literally took our breath away. Equally, towns and villages afforded us with creamy coffee, baquettes and croissants as well as extremely affordable three course meals with wine from the area. The area is saturated with things to do and to see. The spectacular underground caves at Aven Armand is a must as well as the medieval village of Sainte-Enimie - so pretty and charming. We were fortunate enough to meander further afield to the Pont du Gard in Avignon and explore the papal estate of Chateaneuf du Pape where we were able to sample the wine in cool caves just below street level - bliss!
The property is also close to so many acrtivities including both water and air sports, gorge climbing, observing vultures in their natural habitat, and a golf-course within easy driving distance.
La Caz is filled with the patina of a bygone era and I cannot wait to return next year.
