The perfect spot for a weeks family break
Hi, I bought this house 20 years ago because I loved the river with all the boating and kayaking on my doorstep, my 16 year old son lives with me. I am a designer, have travelled extensively and lived and worked abroad . I Run my own small business (we have an office in the front garden which may need to be accessed now and then). The house is in a very pretty sunny spot in a safe gated community. I would like to rent it out during school holidays so we can do some travelling ourselves .Please be aware that Our little cat will stay with you during your visit ! It’s a home from home, and there is lots to do, tho the main attraction for me is the lovely River Thames!
Miss Helen Ward purchased this house in 1995
Amazing location on the river
The 1930 Art Deco house has the swimming pool in the courtyard garden to the front and the river Thames to the rear .
3 X 2 man touring kayaks are on the private jetty waiting for you to explore the great river Thames .
It's in a sunny spot with several decks and terraces plus a balcony .
The house is unique with loads of character and artefacts from around the world .

A lovely warm welcome to a very comfortable home. Loved the garden, pool and kyaking on the river. An ideal place to relax - Loved it.
The house is really good and the environment is so quiet. You feel you are staying in your second home. My kids loved the swimming and boating
We had a lovely 10 nights at this beautiful home. from the warm welcome when we arrived we instantly felt at home and will take away lots in interesting memories from Windsor. Many Thanks for providing the perfect base for our family holiday
We stayed for 9 days and had an enjoyable time. In particular the dining area, kitchen and conservatory were lovely spaces to enjoy, I can imagine that in the summer with access to the river with its own rowing boat and a swimming pool at the front of the property its a great place to be with kids. There are also kayaks available!! Its very convenient for all the attractions Berkshire has to offer in particular Windsor
We arrived to a lovely warm cottage ( even nicer than it looks online ) for Christmas . Everything had been thought of , we were comfortable , happy and fell in love with the cat . Absolutely will stay again . Family of six we had tons of room . Great comfort and even a gorgeous Christmas tree ! Lovely lovely stay .
Thoroughly enjoyed our week here in such a beautiful house . Used the rowing boat and kayaks every day and even braved the pool ! Kitten was very cute !
All in all a great week , thank you .
We have had a lovely week in this gorgeous house . So much to do . George loved the kayaks but didn't like being hissed at by the swans looking after their young ! Would definitely recommend this house to anyone .
Absolutely lovely! This is a really attractive and individual family home on a creek inlet to the Thames. From the warm welcome given us by its owner on arrival, we were always at home. We were also quite captivated by the decor: the artefacts of many travels assembled with an artist's harmonious eye. With four adult couples from one family sharing, the very spacious living spaces were much appreciated. In total there are four as the wooden patio by the river is just as appealing as the conservatory, dining room and lounge. All have real character and suit different times of day. The kitchen was very well supplied and cooking was a good experience with huge, leisurely family meals well suited to the comfy (and large) dining table. All four bedrooms were comfy.
The proximity of Heathrow did not particularly bother us but the roar from low flying planes could be intrusive when we sat in the garden. We just made it part of the experience. They shut down at night so we also heard ducks on the river and birdsong. The river is a great pleasure and younger members of our group had fun on the kayaks while all of us enjoyed exploring the area. We had a relaxing and very happy week and take away the best of memories.
On first arrival we were very excited about the location as it's in a prime spot with beautiful views. Walking into the house we were thrilled with the space, design and layout which was extremely comfortable and homely. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The pool was great fun although we had to cope with cold temperatures as we chose a Bad week for weather but we decided not to let it ruin our stay and went in the pool daily and ate outdoors when possible in the lovely front garden. Going out on the boats was another highlight and bonus to staying at this property. My children didn't want to leave. My only negative was the fact that the house is under the flight path . The first couple of nights we didn't sleep well at all but then we must have got a bit lucky as the flight path seemed to move over a little (just enough for us to sleep through the noise). Other than that, we had most enjoyable time and would recommend staying in the property to others. Thanks, Kelly.
