This spacious 'Maison de Maitre' dates back to the 18th century in a private, elevated and peaceful position set within 2 and a half acres of garden laid mainly to lawn with a swimming pool and a large selection of fruit trees. Professionally renovated under the supervision of an architect, the house offers modern comfort combined with its original character and features. A separate games room has bar football and table tennis plus boules and badminton outside. A professional equestrian facility is within 10 minutes walk or drive, many beautiful villages pepper the area with the renowned village of Beauville 5 minutes drive, the larger towns of Agen and Villenueve-sur-Lot can be reached in under half an hour. WiFi and satellite TV are installed.

Notes on accommodation: A welcome pack is provided on your arrival. A cot is provided if necessary, please advise when booking. You'll find a good supply of books, DVDs and indoor and outdoor games. WiFi & satellite TV ensure you are connected at all times. The house & gardens offer a safe environment for children young & old. For those visiting in the winter the house is centrally heated as well as having an open fireplace in the sitting room & a log burner in the kitchen. Logs can be supplied at a cost from the local farmer. Outside: A terrace surrounds the 10 x 5 meter pool which is equipped with the latest safety alarm. The house has ample garden furniture including sun loungers & a BBQ & in the summer a good supply of fruit & nuts comes from the trees in the western part of the garden. Utility Room: 2 washing machines & tumble dryer. All usual utility facilities. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided, changed on a weekly basis by the housekeeper. Pool towels are not supplied. A cleaning service can be provided at the end of your stay at extra cost, please enquire if this is required. Other: A large, airy dining room is next to the kitchen for indoor entertaining or on cooler evenings. The kitchen opens onto the extensive covered terrace, superb for al fresco entertaining & family meals. The covered terrace overlooks the garden & pool.

What a wonderful house!

Ramounet is as attractive as the picture looks. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, pool, garden and local villages and towns. Two families, 9 in total were accommodated easily with plenty of room to spare.The welcome gifts of cheese and wine were a lovely surprise. A week in Ramounet was just what the doctor ordered!

Amazing place

We didn’t want to leave! We had an idyllic holiday lazing by the pool, visiting the market in Montcuq, enjoying the fantastic views in Lauzerte, relaxing with a coffee in the local bars and even fitting in some walking! Brilliant holiday – the house is stunning and we'd thoroughly recommend it!

If you'd like to visit the sea then it's around 2 and a half hours to Biscarrosse-la-Plage on the Atlantic coast for surfing or the same time to Narbonne on the Mediterranean coast.


Toulouse and Bergerac airports are just 90 minutes from the house and can be reached from many UK locations whilst Bordeaux airport is around 2 hours and has flights to and from most major airports. If you’re driving, the ferry terminals of St.Malo and Caen are around 7 hours distant, all other channel ferry ports can be reached comfortably within a day.


The property is situated 5 kilometers from the villages of Beauville & Bourg-de-Visa, both are perfect for basic supplies. The towns of Montaigu-de-Quercy, Laroque-Timbaut and Lauzerte are within 20 minutes drive where all facilities are provided, and the larger towns of Agen & Villeneuve-sur-Lot are around half an hour away. Lauzerte itself is listed as one of the most beautiful villages of France and is a must visit destination.

Booking Notes:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the booking stage, the balance should be paid 6 weeks prior to the booking date. A security deposit of £700 is also required with the balance.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is our usual changeover day but we will be flexible whenever possible. The house is available from 1600 on day 1 and must be vacated by 1000 on the last day of your trip; this allows the house, pool and garden to be prepared for the next guests.
