Susan and Allan: we live in the Scottish Borders but wanted to have a home in Edinburgh. We have family who reside in Edinburgh that we visit frequently. The apartment is ideally placed to get the most from a holiday in Edinburgh. We hope that guests will find the comfortable accommodation as much of a pleasure to stay in as we do.

We had been searching for three years for an apartment in the heart of Edinburgh that would be ideal for us to use and to holiday let. The apartment has been fully refurbished.The property is superbly located in the Dean area of Edinburgh, which runs alongside the Water of Leith and lies just a few minutes walk from the retail and commercial heart of Edinburgh. The apartment enjoys all the benefits city living has to offer with restaurants, bistros and shops located in nearby vicinity. There is no need for a car as main bus routes are close by that cover most parts of the town and surrounding areas. Neighbouring Stockbridge, just a ten minute walk beside the water of Leith, also provides further local shopping and a Waitrose supermarket.

Excellent property and exactly what was needed for a break in Edinburgh
The property was really wonderful for our stay in Edinburgh. It was well furnished and complete with everything we could possibly have needed for our stay. It was also absolutely spotless.
The location is great for easy access to Shandwick place and Princess street.
We found the situation very quiet and couldn’t hear any traffic from the apartment. Even on New Year’s Day in the early hours of the morning there were only a few revellers to be heard for a short period.
Susan was an excellent host keeping in touch via email to make sure that we hadn’t had any problems with access etc.
There was a lovely welcome for us of Prosecco and shortbread.
We would definitely use the apartment as a base when in Edinburgh again

Well appointed and cosy flat in the heart of the Dean Village area - short walks along the Water of Leith to Stockbridge or Scotrish Museum of Modern Art. A great bolt hole for a weekend in Edinburgh.
September and October in Edinburgh
After a long day of traveling, by ferry,bus and train, it was a very welcome relief to arrive late at night at our flat. Susan’s instructions to get into the building and flat were perfect, no problem at all. We were ecstatic to walk into such a fabulous flat. It has everything you need for an extended stay, as well as a short visit. The beds are a dream. Kitchen very well outfitted for cooking in. Upon rising the next morning, an having a cup of tea, we set out to explore. What a surprise! Picturesque! Our building is sitting right on the bridge over the River Leigh, with the River Leigh walk along it, which is a beautiful walk. Or go up the hill and it’s short 10-15 minute walk into the city center. Along the way there are plenty of bus stops, and cabs if you need to explore further out. We found it to be the perfect spot to explore from. Close to shopping, pubs/ restaurants, cultural activities, Waverly train station, and strolling along the Royal Mile. Susan was most helpful, made sure we were comfortable. My daughters travel plans were impacted by the storm, Callum, and she had to reschedule her train trip to London. Susan was very accommodating, and allowed her a little extra time that morning we were to leave, very kind. We were sad to leave, we definitely will come back next time we are in Edinburgh.
It was cozy, attractive, and every detail one might need was carefully thought through and included.
The experience was first rate and the neighborhood charming and easily accessible on foot while being just beyond the tourist crush.
We have used many VRBO homes, and this one was outstanding! Clean and well thought out to accommodate travelers. Location in Deans Village was ideal. The owners obviously take great care in this home. Can’t think of a single negative comment to make...

Nearest airport: Edinburgh Turnhouse at 7 Miles. Nearest Train: Edinburgh Waverly Railway Station at 2 Miles.
Glasgow 1 hour by car. Edinburgh castle, Palace of Holyrood. Botanical gardens. Stockbridge approximately 1 mile away.
There are many restaurants, banks and shops within a short walk in the direction of Princes Street. There is also a Waitrose in nearby Stockbridge. A welcome pack can be provided on request.

Booking Notes: We require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking with the balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival date. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date we require full payment at the time of booking. There is a £100 housekeeping/damages deposit which is refundable within 14 days of departure. Changeover Day: Friday change over preferred, arrival after 4.00pm and departure by 10.00am.
