Apartment in Balaia Golf Village, Central Algarve - Peaceful Location, Close To Golden Sandy Beaches And Lively 'Old Town', A Short Taxi Ride Away

3 bed / 2 bath ground floor apartment on the Balaia Golf Village complex. Air-conditioned, furnished patio area, gas BBQ, outdoor music system, 4 tennis courts, 9 hole golf course, new bowling green, gym, bar, restaurants, supermarket, the complex has 6 pools with children's areas, the nearest pool is 100 yards away adjacent to the golf club house bar. Parking and good disabled access. Located in peaceful gardens surrounded by cork, almond and orange groves. The nearest beach (Maria Luisa) is a 10 minute walk from the complex. Albufeira is a few minutes drive away with its many lively bars and restaurants in the the old town.

In response to recent security issues with bogus owners, please feel free to request "Proof of Ownership". We will send you copies of our recent utility bills before you need to make any deposit to us.

Why Colin & Julia chose Vale Navio

We purchased this apartment after looking all along the Mediterranean. We chose Portugal because the coastal scenery is very similar to Cornwall and the Portuguese people are so friendly. English is widely spoken throughout the Algarve.

Notes on accommodation: Air con / heating is installed in all rooms. A cot, highchair or fold-up bed can be requested for an extra daily charge. DVDs, Sonos music system, free Wi-Fi, cool picnic box, beach umbrella and chairs are all available for use. Please do not smoke in the apartment. However ashtrays are provided for use outside on the patio. There is a security safe in the master bedroom. Balaia offers a choice of 6 child friendly swimming pools, tennis, golf, driving range/ academy, children's play area, kids club in high season, on-site supermarket, newsagent, hairdresser, beautician, 'A Varandha' restaurant, 'Le club' restaurant, on site English speaking 24 hr reception for booking taxis & tours to various attractions. Outside: The apt. (No 755) is on the ground floor in a quiet area overlooking the driving range and putting greens with secure grass lawns to both front and back. It faces west and benefits from amazing sunsets. It is 150 yard from the nearest swimming pool which is surrounded by beautiful gardens with mature cork and pine trees providing plenty of shade. There are 6 outdoor pools three of which have poolside bars or kiosks. Sun loungers are freely available around all pools. There is an additional indoor pool within the health club, which also has a fully equipped gym, steam room and jacuzzi. An extra charge is payable to reception for this. The complex has a 24 hour on site reception and security service where taxis, airport transfers, local attractions and excursions, golf tee times can be booked. A childrens créche and play area is available in high season. Reception also has internet and wireless network access for guests. Utility Room: Washing mcn, dryer, clothes airer, iron and ironing board, first aid kit. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. For stays of more than 1 week - maid service and linen change is provided at the end of each week. Additional maid service or linen change can be provided at an extra cost. Other: Child safe lawn gardens. Extended patio area with potted plants. Dining table and 6 reclining chairs, gas BBQ, large sun parasols and sun loungers. Outside lighting and sound system.

A wonderful family holiday

This was an absolutely wonderful apartment, spacious, clean and with everything we needed for a family holiday. We were opposite the putting green which was perfect each night for the family putting comp (our children's age range are 7-17). The pools were lovely even though we only ever used the one nearest the apartment which was almost empty all the time but absolutely perfect, lots of sun beds and grass areas around the main pool area.. We didn't eat at the main entrance and as the apartment at the very back of the complex we would think that a car would be a great asset for shopping and to eat out elsewhere but that said we were more than happy eating in and the admiring the most wonderful sunset each night and bbqs in the garden more than compensated going anywhere else!! Would not hesitate recommending- it was fabulous! Ps there's a collection of left behind beach towels which is available for use which is good and handy to know if you're trying to travel light. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend!

Lovely property

Lovely spacious property set on beautiful golf course, everything you need for a perfect holiday we didn’t hire car but used the Uber’s no problem at all about 4euros to Olhos de Agua the pools lovely and clean no problem getting sun beds .thanks Colin and julia

Fantastic location fantastic holiday

The property was amazing ! Very homely , great view , all mod cons ie fitted kitchen two spacious bathrooms a large living room area and two large size bedrooms ! Plus it had air con in each room and on the patio there was also a barbecue an outside dining area as well as loungers and a awning which was great to give some shade. It was also great for our little boy as the apartment had wi fi and plenty of tv channels. Finally the location was fantastic only a 10 minute walk to reception as well as being nearby supermarkets ( need a car for that ) . Overall a wonderful holiday

Special interest holidays:

A 5 rink lawn bowling green. Bowls, shoes etc can be hired from the adjoining golf club.


Two lovely clean sandy beaches are within a 10 minute walk from the reception area. Both beaches offer nice restaurants, sun beds, water sports and pedalos for hire. There are many other beaches within easy driving distance.


Faro airport is approx 30 minutes away. We can arrange tranfers if required through Balaia reception. Car hire is not essential, buses go into Albufeira or a taxi into the town center costs approx 6 Euros and can be ordered through Balaia reception. Aqualand, Splash & Slide, Zoo Marine and other local attractions run their own coach services also bookable through Balaia reception.


Albufeira is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk. Balaia offers a shuttle service. Several supermarkets are nearby.

'Algarve Shopping' center and hypermarket is on the outskirts of town, a 15 minute drive.

We do not take a security deposit and ask that you treat our apartment with respect. However we appreciate that small accidents or breakages may occur. Please let us know so we can replace breakages for other guests that may follow you.
