Located in the center of the Trastevere district, just 5 minutes walk from Santa Maria in Trastevere and the heart of Roman history, the holiday house is located a stone's throw from the New Queen Margaret Hospital, as well as it is very close to the Ministry of Education.
To better identify the area, the 'Grandfather Julius' is located in front of Piazza Mastai and is almost bordering on Viale Trastevere. The apartment has a kitchenette and living area, a small bathroom, and a bedroom loft with high ceilings 4 meters for up to 4 people. On the mezzanine there are two single beds, a double bed in the loft.
From the apartment you can reach virtually all the major monuments of the city with a few minutes walk, for example: a) Campo de 'Fiori - 10 minutes, b) Piazza Navona - 15 minutes, c) Trilussa Square - 5 minutes, d) Pantheon - 15 minutes, and) the Colosseum and the Vatican about 30 minutes.
The neighborhood is ideal for spending a few days between typical restaurants and wine bars that represent the real heart of Roman culture; during the spring and summer the Tiber is filled with stalls and people that make you breathe in the air of Rome.
Unforgettable are the two sights are located near the house: the GIANICOLO, famous for the battle fought during the Risorgimento between the French army and that of the Republic of Rome to defend the independence; Another point is the GARDEN OF ORANGES from where you can admire the skyline of Rome, it is not very high, and turning to the right there is just the imaginary line of the roofs of Rome in the downtown area.

The building is equipped with an internal cloister and each floor has its own balcony, as well as this is practicable roof, where you can enjoy the view over the roofs of Rome.
Behind the building there is the Janiculum hill famous for the battles of the Roman Republic in 1848 and for the wonderful view so you can see until the Roman Castles; very particular in this context is the presence of the legendary Fontanone that Antonello Venditti quotes in his song 'Thank Rome', where actually the orange (the sun) is immersed at sunset!
