Apartment in Albir, Nr Altea, Costa Blanca, Spain - Local To All Amenities And A 10 Minute Stroll To The Beach And Village Centre

Albir is a popular holiday resort situated close to Altea on Spain's Costa Blanca It has grown from a small community in the last few years into a great holiday destination. Albir beach is pebbly with clear water and has been awarded the blue flag of the European Community for the quality of its water. The esplanade attracts everybody for pleasant strolls along the seafront. Albir offers plenty of bars and restaurants with live music and entertainment in the evenings so there is usually something for everyone to enjoy. Res Estibaliz is a private residential community based in town centre but with secure gardens and pool providing a peaceful environment for your holiday. The pool and gardens are maintained to a high standard providing comfortable areas for sun bathing and swimming. The lovely beach is a mere 10 min stroll away past the shops and restaurants in this peaceful cosmopolitan town. Wonderful views of the mountain ranges are provided on one of the balconies.

As a kid we holidayed in Spain every year and eventually we got used to the spanish way of life.

I love the pool and most days it is like having your own pool in your garden.

We eat out every night as the restaurants are very good and reasonbly priced.

Over the years we have many fun packed holidays in Albir watching our kids grow up and meeting many good friends.

We bought the apartment due to all the family loving the sea and sun and thought we would benefit over the years having somewhere of our own.

albir has good warm temperature all year round and is central to all major towns and villages for exploring.

Would we come to apartment again? No. But only because we have moved to Albir. Would we recommend it? Yes without hesitation. The apartment complex is very nice with well maintained gardens and a lovely pool. The apartment itself is lovely, it feels like a home, furnished to the owners taste and specifically for this apartment. It is also fully equipped with everything you could need and more besides. We genuinely self catered throughout - how often have you been self catering to find it consisting of a toaster if your lucky - not so here. I would imagine that the books, DVDs, CDs and games are for the owners convenience, but leaving them all out for the guests is a nice touch and again made the place like real home. All in all a very good stay. Elaine.

Notes on accommodation: Ceramic tiled floors throughout with large rugs for winter months. Suitable for children with shallow pool area and secure gardens. Outside: Well kept gardens and routinely cleaned pool provides an ideal for relaxation in the grounds. The position of the pool and gardens provides sun all day long but with palm trees which provide some escape from the sun for the kids on those warm days. The community is totally private and accessed by a secure door and can only be used by residents/guests. This is ideal for kids to play and your peace of mind. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided (including beach towels). The apartment is cleaned prior to arrivals and at the end of the stay. Other: Balcony has patio table and chairs and awning for sun control.

Lovely apartment, great location

Lovely apartment, in a great location close to all amenities supermarket, bank, bus stop just over the road. Close to bars and restaurants. The apartment was clean and tidy and very well equipped.

Albir is a lovely resort and we can't wait to return.

Great communication with the owner, I would definitely recommend this property.

El apartamento estaba genial, muy limpio y tenia de todo, nos hemos sentido como en casa. Tenia una piscina muy bonita y el lugar era acogedor. Esta muy bien situado, tiene al lado todo tipo de servicios y la playa muy cerca. Martin nos atendio muy bien. Lo recomiendo al 100%.

A very well placed and comfortable apartment. Exactly as advertised! 10 minutes walk from the beach, supermarket just over the road, lots of bars and restaurants nearby and good views of the mountains from the balcony.

Plenty to do in Albir but only a short ride to Benidorm or any of the theme parks nearby! Loved it

Very Enjoyable Stay

Me and my husband stayed in this apartment for a week. The apartment is well equipped and on a lovely complex. It's well positioned for shops and restaurants and a lovely stroll to the sea front. Albir is a special resort and the promenade is lovely especially in the evening with some wonderful restaurants overlooking the beach. Altea and Benidorm are easily accessed by the number 10 bus outside the apartment. We liked it so much we've already booked for next year for two weeks.

Location

Coast/Beach:

The beach is approx a 10 min walk from the apartment. It is a level walk in the main with no steep hills. The beach is perfect for those lazy days or for more energetic amongst us. Bars and Restaurants line the beach front so you don't have to go far for drinks and lunch.

In the evening during the summer months the beach hosts many events such as the famous film festival and musical events. Craft fairs are very often found selling some original Spanish craft.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Alicante approx 40km. Car is not essential as shops, bars, restaurants are all in walking distance. Altea and Benidorm have good public transport links and are clean and reliable. You can get public transport also now from the Airport dependant on your budget. Please ask for details.

A new train terminal has just been completed which is about a 10 min walk from the apartment which gives you good cheap access to all the Alicante/Denia coastal route.

Distances:

The picturesque town of Altea is a 10 min bus ride or a stroll down the beach promenade will take a little longer but worth the walk. Benidorm is approx 20 min by bus or 10 min by taxi.

Further Details:

The apartment is well situated for all services and minutes walk from excellent restaurants, cafes, banks and supermarkets.

terra mitica (theme park), aqualandia (water park), mundomar (marine animal attraction), terra natura (safari park), excaliber castle (medieval theme venue) to name but a few attractions within easy reach.

other more relaxing excursions such as algar falls, the rock of ifach and the caves of canelobre for the more may be more suitable to some.

jet ski and water sports are available on the playa del albir.

The traditional town of altea is a walk down the esplanade from albir passing the old harbour. The evening in altea is particular attractive with all the old cobbled narrow streets where the houses are nearly touching each other. The alleyways come alive with shops and restaurants where you can while away the evening. All the street seem to lead to the historic church with the famous blue tile domed roof within a square full of cosmopolitan restaurants and cafes.

Guadalest is a famous hilltop fortified village up in the hills and well worth a ride out.

Valencia is particulary attractive city with its traditional spanish architecture and easily reached for a days visit.

Changeover Day:
Totally flexible on changeover days as I know some weekdays and times are more competitive for flights.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
