About Norma Potter
Yoga teacher in Geneva and Chamonix. Love the mountains and enjoy many weekends up high with my skis or with my dogs. Chalet Mabel is our haven away from the hussle and bussle of the city.... we enjoy going down to Chamonix once in a while for dinner, but most of the time you'll find us nestled down in the chalet in front of the fire with a good book. I hope you enjoy spending time there as much as we do!
Norma Potter purchased this Chalet in 2007

Lovely cosy chalet
We have just returned home from a week in Chalet Mabel - it’s a great chalet, small but perfectly formed & beautifully decorated. Very clean, lovely bathroom, well equipped, ski bus stops virtually outside the door - great for evenings out in Chamonix. We used our car to access the different ski areas each day (Grands Montets in Argentiere was our least favourite - Le Tour is fantastic as is Brevent, both less than 10 minutes drive). Norma the owner was very quick to respond to my questions before we went and we really appreciated the card & wine on arrival. Would recommend.
Love this little chalet. The only drawback was that it was a bit close to the road, but its proximity to grand montets lifts and Argentiere town is great.
Warm, cosy and clean.
The chalet was perfect for us. Its was comfortable, warm and clean. A grrat retreat after a day on the slopes. The beds were very comfortable !
As for the location it was great for our needs. We felt in the middle of everything. With short journeys to both chamonix and le tour. Also the lift to grand montets was only a few mins away on foot and also a great nursery slope located around the back of the property. We had a great holiday and stay at Chalet Mable.
One of our sons did return home with a broken collar bone however the medics in the village were outstanding with the level of care they gave. On a more relaxed note the fu-bar in the village was great !
Such a lovely cosy chalet!
We had the best time at Chalet Mabel, it was such a cosy space that was perfect for relaxing in after a day skiing. Norma was also extremely helpful and responsive, I would highly recommend it!
Lovely chalet in a beautiful location
We enjoyed our 2 weeks in Chalet Mabel - the chalet was very charming and comfortable and well equipped for a 2 week stay. It's location is perfect for the Chamonix area, or for spending time at the quieter end of the valley - the valleys between France and Switzerland are particularly beautiful. I would certainly recommend it.
Cosy, well located chalet
We had a brilliant stay at Chalet Mabel - it is in a wonderful location for the slopes, was spotlessly clean and well equipped, and gave ample room for our party of three. We will definitely return!
Geneva closest airport - approx 1 hr drive. Car hire recommended, however plenty of chamonix shuttles available door-to-door from Geneva.
1 km / 5 minutes walk to Argentiere town centre with ample choice of bars and restaurants, ski services, supermarket, banks, local shops. 7km / 10 minutes drive / bus to Chamonix town centre with extensive facilities for non-skiers.
Chamonix town centre has extensive activities for apres-ski / non-skiers, aiguille de midi cable car with views over Mont-Blanc, ice grotto, monorail train to glacier, saturday market, leisure centre with ice skating, swimming pools, sauna, gym etc. Access to hotels with spa facilities, art exhibitions, local museum...etc. Plenty of beautiful country walks around Chalet Mabel. Direct access to Les Petits Balcons (nord et sud) running up and down the valley. Beautiful waterfalls to discover a stone's throw away.
