4 bed, 4 bathroom large house in Gorran Haven near Mevagissy , Quiet Location, just 10 minutes walk from the Lovely beach
About John Greenslade
I live in the south west of England with my wife and two children.
John Greenslade purchased this House in 2009
Why John Greenslade chose Gorran Haven
My mothers family has lived in Gorran Haven for a number of generations so all my childhood I heard stories of this beautiful Cornish village by the sea. I have owned Arosa for about 9 years and rented it to families each year. About 18 months ago embarked on a major remodeling project to transform the property into a modern, spacious, luxurious open plan house that I had always dreamed about and this is finally being completed in May 2018.
What makes this House unique
We love visiting our cottage in Gorran Haven as we can spend lots of time in and out of the sea a short walk away and know there is a fantastic hot shower waiting for us at the end of the day Arosa is a large modern property with plenty of room to relax with your family and friends and a good sized safe garden for children for children to play and only a short walk to the beach and coastal paths. You are close enough to the beach, shop and pub whilst still being in a side road that stays quiet even in August.

Beautiful Arosa in a beautiful location
Everything about Arosa was as described. We travelled as 2 families and were overwhelmed at how beautiful Arosa was. It was home from home. The space was plenty big enough for both families with 4 very large bedrooms. Three of which were en suite. Everything has been thought of at Arosa. Perfect welcome touch with Cornish shortbread and wine!
The beach and cafe is a 10 min walk. We did the Dodman Point walk and found Vault Beach. A must see secluded beach which was reached by a coastal walk.
John was a fantastic host who was always on hand if we had questions.
We loved Arosa so much we’re already booking for next year!
Good communication. Helpful & friendly. Great space for family with 3 en-suite & family bathroom. Beautifully finish & minimal decoration. 5-10mins walk to beach & cafe. Quiet & peaceful setting. Ideal for coastal walks. Thank u
Thank you for your lovely review, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Arosa and had a great holiday, I hope you may be able to stay again in the future.
Kind Regards John
Lovely refurbished property, just like the photos. We enjoyed having space. We had a lovely week, weather was fairly good for early April. The house was nice and warm. It was very clean on arrival. Thank you to John and Sue and Liz the cleaner.

Over and above all our expectations!! Perfect!
Wow, we were overwhelmed with the property from the moment we walked in the door! What an amazing place and perfectly located. Everything that was described on the listing when we booked was accurate. It was perfect for our family of 7 plus a small baby of 10 months. We all had our privacy when needed and could all join together in the amazing space for the lounge, dining room and kitchen. I just want to thank John & Sue for the hospitality that they showed us, you really made us feel at home.
I would recommend this property to any of my friends and family in the UK and South Africa, and will certainly get in touch with John should we require accommodation in the Cornwall area again. Thank you again for making our holiday one to remember :)
Beautiful house in great location
Upon arrival we had a minor issue but John dealt with things well and followed up to make sure we were ok.
We had an amazing week as the house, which is in our favourite part of Cornwall.
The house is really nice and has been renovated beautifully. It has big bedrooms and lots of space so we didn’t feel cramped. There is plenty of garden for the kids to run around in and the neighbours are very friendly too!
Overall, very enjoyable and I’m sure we will be back.
I’m very glad you had a great holiday at Arosa and enjoyed staying in Cornwall.
I look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

The house was perfect for us. We were traveling with our son , his wife and toddler daughter.
The layout of the house with large common spaces and modern large kitchen suited our needs exactly. The large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms also gave privacy to our diverse group.
The owner , John Greenslade, was readily available and responsive to our needs.
The village , the beach , the proximity to the coastal path and nearby playground all added to our enjoyment of the area.
I am very glad Arosa suited you and your family so well, the large open plan living area is perfect for larger families.
Thank you for being great guests and I hope if you are ever in the uk in the future you may stay again, you would be most welcome.
The safe sandy family beach and interesting harbour at Gorran Haven is just a 10 minute walk away and you can also join the nearby coast path allowing to walk to the harbours Port Mellion and Mevagissey a few miles away. The coast path in both directions is very beautiful and allows you to explore the area and discover hidden beaches and coves that are quiet even in peak season.

For an easier option than walking with bags of beach stuff and young children there is on some on street parking just back from the beach in Gorran Haven out of season and a reasonably priced large car park in season.
