Fabulous traditional chalet (built 2010) in secluded position close to slopes of Chinaillon. Stunning mountain views and large open plan living area. It's perfect for families, as there is lots of living space unlike many rental properties. It is tastefully decorated and provides a really relaxing home from home, with HD TV, blue ray and wifi. Once you light the woodburning stove, sink down into the corner sofa, open a bottle of just won't want to leave!

About The Owner

We are a family of five (3 teenage boys) living in South West London with a love of all things mountain. (in varying degrees!) We bought this chalet in 2010 and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area during the Winter and Summer seasons. We are so pleased we chose this area, as not only is it unspoilt, but very conveniently located for Geneva.

Notes on accommodation: This is a perfect chalet for 2 families sharing. Ideally, 2 kid families! but extra matresses can be provided for extra children, and there is a sofa bed! Please note there is a 100 Euro surcharge for a 9 person occupancy Outside: For Summer rentals, there is a decked area with outdoor tables and seating and a parasol Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer. Heated ski boot racks Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included in price and laundered at end of let each week. Property is also cleaned at end of each week. Other: Second cosy living area at top of stairs with separate tv, dvd player and arm chairs

Wonderful Cosy Chalet

Unlike so many ski chalets which are very functional but rather impersonal, Chalet Arosa is a home from home; fully equipped with everything you could possibly need; gorgeous log burning stove; extremely comfy beds and bedding; room to relax; lovely wide veranda for sunbathing (if you're as lucky as us with the weather); set in a peaceful area AND only a couple of minutes drive from the slopes (either by car or ski bus which stops close by). We even walked to the slopes one day (but only because our boots and skis were already there so we comfy footwear on and nothing to carry). Its such a homely place to spend time, that we didn't even bother going out in the evenings - just lit the fire, opened the wine and relaxed - perfect! I'll definitely be returning

Weekend Skiing

This Chalet was the perfect location for a weekend break from the UK. The Chalet owner was useful in providing the necessary details/directions and once we had our hire car (from the Swiss side) we were in the resort within 75 mins. Having previously skiied numerous other weekends, this turned out to be one of the best, there was minimal travel time and the chalet was well located to the piste and ski hire shop. The resort is ideal for 3/4 days skiing. Lift queues were non exsistant and for once you can eat out for lunch without feeling bankrupt afterwards. We shall certainly return in the future, this was a fantastic weekend break and highly recommended. The chalet is spacious and relaxing and with the log burner is a joy to have after a chilly day on the slopes. We had no erason to eat out in the evening as the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. I would recommend you have a car to assist you in ensuring you maximise the skiing. We will return next year with our Children, an ideal resort for them to learn.

Fifth Time Returning - Fab

We absolutely love this chalet. It is our fifth time returning to this chalet this coming February and we couldn't rate it highly enough.

The basement with its ski boot heater is a real treat and the garage parking is very convenient - no shovelling snow off the windscreen in the mornings! It is very homely with a very cosy stove and sitting room area.

It is perfectly located close to the ski lifts and village. We have been coming to Chinaillon with ten years and this wonderful chalet is now the only place we would stay. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Stunning in the summer too!

Such a welcoming and beautiful chalet that is fit for a fabulous summer holiday as well as for skiing. Immaculate accommodation, with plenty of room for 2 large families, this picturesque chalet lends itself to a beautiful walking holiday in the mountain area of Chinaillon. Good local amenities and shops are withing walking distance of your front door and plenty of storage room for bikes. Well equipped kitchen and tastefully furnished throughout. We will definitely revisit.

Great Chalet

We spent an amazing week at Chalet Arosa walking the mountains and swimming in the lakes, as well as lazy days at this well equipped, clean and cosy chalet. We definitely plan to return for a skiing holiday here.
