About Gerry Boobis

We live in Edinburgh so you can imagine why we love going to the Algarve. The weather is fantastic.

Our apartment is uniquely placed for most nature loving activities.

We are literally a walking distance from the beach with our apartment on the very edge of The Rio Formosa nature reserve; home of flamingos, egrets and many other wildlife.

You can cycle, golf, horse-ride, walk, surf - all within easy distances from where we live. Alternatively if you like sunbathing, we think we have one of the best pools in the Algarve.

There are dozens of restaurants available locally but we are also fully fitted for self catering. Whatever you want is there for you.

So you can see the attraction.

Why Gerry Boobis chose Quinta do Lago

The main reason for buying our property was the almost certain guarantee of sunshine for most of the year.

However, we are both sea lovers and golf fanatics - but when not doing our hobbies, having the tranquility of the region makes this such a special place to relax. We also have a fine library for those who like reading together with a fine range of DVD's for the children as well as the adults.

What makes this apartment unique

The main benefits we have are the ease of access to the sea and beach, the proximity of golf, the quietness of the nature reserve and the fantastic swimming pool.

Additionally during the summer there is an excellent "family feel' to the village.

We have beautiful, unique gardens and views that we think are possibly one of the best in the Algarve.

Outside: Terrace with table and chairs. 2 x Loungers and foot stools. There is also the use of the communal sun loungers around the pool, about 20 metres away. The pool is approximately 40 metres long x 20 metres wide and is available only to Lakeside residents Utility Room: Cleaning cupboard with iron, ironing board, brushes etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is maintained by a local facilities management company, based only 10 minutes away. All linen and towels are provided - apart from beach towels. Maid service approximately every 4 x days.
