About Theresa Randolph
I have lived in this area for over 25 years and have enjoyed all that the wild outdoors has to offer from fishing to hiking, biking, back packing, skiing, wild berry picking, rock hounding, and much more. This has made me very familiar with the off the beaten track areas which I like to share. I have worked in the local service industry and like to give recommendations of favorites to experience.
Theresa Randolph purchased this House in 2009
Why Theresa Randolph chose Laurium
I purchased the property to use it as a guest place. My guests have suggested many times that it is such a great place that I should offer it to vacationers, so I have.
What makes this House unique
What made me fall in love with the area was I came here on vacation over 25 years ago and fell in love with the small town feel and peacefulness of the area. I like that couples take evening walks hand in hand and there is a 10 pm curfew for kids under 16 and a whistle sounds at 10pm to let them know. I like that the woods are across the road making it a quiet place yet close enough to town that I can get there quickly. I bought my first home while on that vacation and moved here 5 weeks later that was over 25 years ago and I am still enjoying all this area has to offer in outdoors activates, theater, museums and much more.

Affordable Stay Near Houghton
The house was a nice location and fit my groups needs, other than the fact that the bunk beds are actually from old military barracks and only hold 100lbs, which none of us adults are. So we had to put the mattresses on the floor to use them, otherwise we were down 2 beds which was important for us. The kitchen isn't the BEST equipped, but it certainly had a good selection. From the time we did spend there, it worked for what we needed and the host is GREAT! Very helpful. The Wi-Fi isn't the best, but it was better than nothing. Otherwise, great for the price, easy to locate, good location and great hosts.
Hello Amanda, I’m sorry about the bunk bed situation, I had forgotten that I had a weight limit on them in my note for guests on the frig. I had that when the beds needs to be more secure they have been secured. Sorry about the kitchen selection not having lighter pans but the heavy cast iron cook more evenly and the new ones that I have put over there have disappeared. Best wishes and thank you for staying with us! Trese
Clean and neet
We had a great stay, it was very clean and check in was very easy
Great place to stay, clean, property owner was great and very helpful with anything that we needed.
Great central location
This was the perfect spot for the things we wanted to do in Houghton, and the biking we wanted to do in Copper Harbor. It made a great home base for our stay!
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay!!! Take care Trese & Mike
Perfect in many ways
I wanted this property for a memorial which ended up being perfectly two blocks away from my Great Grandmas old red stone building.
The host, Trese, was super flexible and very welcoming to myself and my fiancé, 2 year old daughter and brother. She stayed in contact with me for everything, added in complimentary bug repellent that my daughter used often.
Everything worked out perfectly! I’ll definitely keep this HomeAway Home in mind for my next Calumet trip in the future.
Thank you, Trese and Mike for accommodating my family and I.
We’re glad you and your family had a good time! We are happy to host your family anytime! Take care and thank you! Trese
