My son's school residential got cancelled for the 3rd year in a row so we booked a last minute trip to save the day and cheer him up. We had a lovely week, it's a very nice area with lots for kids to do. The cottage and grounds at Glyndley Manor were great, with a pool, an area to play football or badminton and a basketball hoop as well. We just so happened to bring the basketball so my son spent lots of time happily playing there. The cottages felt rural being surrounded by mature trees and fields with bleating sheep but everything we needed was right on our doorstep. The neighbours in the other cottages were super friendly and our pup made a few doggy friends. We found the people in the whole area, everywhere we went, to be very friendly, nice people. We took our SUP's and found lots of nice places to paddle; Pevensey bay and Cuckmere river were favourites. The beaches are close by and all lovely, some undeveloped and natural and others like Eastbourne developed with a pier and gorgeous Victorian buildings. There's something about Pevensey Bay, it has a nice feel to it. Beachy head near Eastbourne was amazing for a walk at dusk, the sunset and view, which we are starved of where we live, was beautiful.
