About this property

Detached Traditional Welsh Cottage Set Within Pembrokeshire National Par

Our stunning Georgian stone cottage has been renovated to strike a balance between tradition, luxury and sustainability, from the thick stone walls to the luxurious hansgrohe shower; from the warmth of the Aga wood burning stove, to the convenience of a modern kitchen equiped with all mod con's; from the original wooden joists of the grain store room to access to your very own utility/boot room. Whilst retaining many of its original features, the cottage wherever possible, has been renovated using natural & local materials and is environmentally friendly - the heart of which is the air source pump which provides radiant underfloor heating throughout the cottage. All furnishings have been individually selected and are of a high/exceptional standard. Outside, you can roam our 11 acre site and enjoy many of our quiet and tranquil seating areas, whether in the sun or the shade of the trees.

Rural idyll
Lovely spot, great for the little ones with their own 'flat' upstairs complete with books and games, lots of outdoor fun to be had including enjoying the livestock. Claire was a great host and very helpful with local recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Ideal place to unwind
Great place. Lovely to hear the sound of silence - very at home! Idyllic retreat with a remote feel yet handily located for lots of things to see and do. Well furnished and equipped. Great to have free access to the grounds and lovely to have all the animals wandering around. Really enjoyed it.

Wonderful stay
Beautiful, well appointed cottage in gorgeous location. We loved the free range geese, hens and horses!! Surrounded by stunning countryside with some fabulous walks and not far from the sea. Very welcoming hosts with great communication. All in all a lovely place to be.

A great place to escape to
A well equipped cottage in a lovely location. For anyone wanting to get away from it all it's a must. Although not far to local attractions such as the lovely St David's, or various coastal areas. Will be recommending to others.

About the host

Host profile image
We are a small family of 4 living out our dream in rural Wales. We have always wanted our very own smallholding, where we could give self sufficiency a real go but remain linked to a very active and supportive local area. This location has enabled us to live that dream, and every month we are getting closer to reality. Having finished the holiday cottage, we have now a range of livestock including geese, chickens, pigs and sheep. We have also managed to erect our poly tunnel so are now busy planting our own fruit and vegetables. Tom and Barbara Good eat your heart out!

Why they chose this property

Pembrokeshire is just an unbelievable county. Even now we are still exploring new and wonderful beaches and attractions. Where else in the UK can you have a beach all to yourselves, enjoy a BBQ whilst watching the sun go down. It really has so much to offer for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors...its just a dream come true and we have only been here over a year!

What makes this property unique

This property is genuinely unique. In our very rural location, we have ponds, streams, woods and open fields and views, where we can listen and see the sheep, cattle and birds of prey. That said, within a 15 or so minute drive, you can be shopping in Laura Ashley or M&S on the outskirts of Haverfordwest or swimming in the sea at Newport Sands. Truly remarkable!
