Boasting two docks (use one for boats and the other for admiring the view), this five-bedroom, four-bathroom log cabin is impressively-updated with everything you'll want for a memorable Northern Idaho getaway!
Just 10 minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene, you can be gallery browsing, shopping, or visiting the Museum of North Idaho within minutes. Book a spa treatment at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa (five minutes by car or right across the water), hike, bike, or grab your clubs and head to the Coeur d'Alene Golf Club. And although the boating and swimming here is fabulous, in ski season, Kellogg, Idaho's Silver Mountain Resort is only 40 minutes away.
But when you do spend time at this Coeur d'Alene retreat, you'll have a gorgeous interior to enjoy, filled with architectural details like timber posts, tall ceilings, and beautiful hardwood floors. The wood-burning river rock fireplace will keep you warm on chilly nights, and the living is filled with comfortable spots to socialize and relax.
You'll have a bright, completely-stocked kitchen (including double ovens, a dishwasher, and all the gadgets you'll need), where you can play chef, or head out out on the town to one of Coeur d'Alene's many restaurants. With a large dining room and outdoor deck, there's always a spot to enjoy a meal or a snack when you do stay in.
The bedrooms at Cougar Bay Lodge include a stunning master suite, with a soaking tub, canopy king-size bed, and its own sitting room with the home's one TV, cable, and a DVD player. The other four bedrooms offer three queen beds and two full-size beds.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer, WiFi, and of course the lake frontage, including two docks and a gazebo. Spend the afternoon out on the water boating or just enjoying the view right from the deck of your Cougar Bay Lodge. The spacious deck is perfect for outdoor entertaining, sipping morning coffee, or sketching a beautiful bay scene. And, with space for 10 guests and two dogs (of up to 50 pounds each and with an additional nightly fee), you can bring the whole family!

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

We love the views.
I don't often leave reviews for anything, so I'll keep this brief. This home is an experience that I think was worth having. This is a log home that has been relocated from another property to where it is now. First, the good. The logs and the views are spectacular. The lake is nice for watching birds (we stayed in late January) and this home has a great patio. The log architecture is definitely interesting and inspires questions about how the home may have been used in past years. Rustic floors, rough beams, open ceilings, all this lends itself to a feeling of lodge living. The kitchen has high end appliances and this is nice to see while away from home. The dining area has tons of views and the fireplace is definitely worth lighting. <br />

The downsides include the highway that this home is situated off of. The road noise is not horrible, but it is just a little distracting at times. Light switching in this home is poorly designed and just needs a bit more attention so that it doesn't leave you scratching your head. There are a few niggles here and there, but I'm ok to just remember that this is a log home and all of the conveniences that I'm used to may not be there. For those staying in the summer, remember that temperatures in the area can definitely get hot and this home is not air conditioned. That was not an issue for me, but it should be considered.
We absolutely love Idaho and this area in particular. We come here a minimum of once a year and often two to three times a year. We would definitely stay at the lodge again.
Great vacation
Older log home with character, but lots of deferred maintenance . We rented this home due to the large size of our party (10 adults) and wanted as many bedrooms/bathrooms as possible. Only tv in the home is in the master bedroom, which can be problematic. Master bathroom is huge but drafty, poorly designed and not well lit. View of the lake is spectacular!
Over all not a bad place to stay. Has a lot of room and it is beautiful inside.
