Luxurious Georgian cottage renovated to an extremely high standard with open fire in the lounge, high specification fitted kitchen, roll top bath, walk-in shower and a private south-facing patio garden. Situated in the heart of Stratford upon Avon with theatres, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops literally on the doorstep. A visitor's parking permit means you can leave the car and explore this fantastic medieval town on foot, or visit the various family attractions, National Trust properties and the beautiful Cotswolds.

Why Dawn Jackson chose Stratford-upon-Avon

We hope you love this house as much as we do! We moved to France several years ago but decided we needed a base in the UK to visit friends and family... Stratford was the obvious choice. We bought the house in March 2010 and completely renovated it - from new roof to all new plumbing. The result is somewhere we are happy to call home when we visit. And the location is superb - very different to our life in rural France. We park the car and don't use it again until we have to leave. Loads of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops - we're spoilt for choice. Walk 5 minutes along the canal bank in one direction and you're at the RSC theatre. 5 minutes in the other direction and you're in open countryside. A fabulous place at any time of year and in any weather!

Notes on accommodation: The cottage would suit couples and families. High chair, cot and stairgate available, as well as fireguard. South facing patio garden is completely enclosed and safe for children and pets alike. Stereo with DAB radio, DVD player and MP3 plug-in. Free WiFi. Outside: Totally enclosed south facing patio garden, including table and 4 chairs and a bench. Perfect for relaxing in. There is secure space for your bikes if you're feeling more energetic. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and bedlinen are included in our prices. The property is cleaned after each let. On longer lets, sheets and towels are changed each week. A starter log and some coal is included for the open fire. Other: Separate dining room with oak table that extends to seat 6 people and matching sideboard. French door out onto sunny south-facing patio garden and glass doors through to kitchen. Staircase up to first floor. Stairgate, travel cot and highchair available.

Great location. Well finished cottage

Great for 2 people. The lounge and dining area are a bit small for more - but not unusable. Kitchen and bathroom well equipped and modern. Bedrooms good size, sufficient cupboards and drawers, comfortable beds. We were there in a cold March and the house is warm and cosy. 2 mins from Shakespeare's birthplace and centre of town. Quiet area. Owners very helpful before arrival. Minor niggles only prevent a 5 (and you might not be bothered) but in any case would highly recommend it.

We stayed here for a week and the house is cosy, comfortable and immaculately clean. You have everything you need with the added bonus of being just minutes away from good restaurants, theatres, cinemas and shopping. Andy, who looks after the property, is super friendly and helpful.
