The location is one of tranquillity and superb country views for miles around, but with easy access to towns, cities and places of interest. It is situated in the popular Limousin area in the district of the Haute Vienne. The house dates from 1626 and has undergone a complete renovation, retaining many of its original features. The property and the region are ideally suited to families; outdoor adventurers retired couples, business people who fancy a week away from the office and writers who want to ‘get away from it all’.

Wonderful holiday cottage
We stayed at this wonderful property Sept 2016, the cottage was wonderful, everything you needed was there, Cosy and decorated so tastefully, the cottage was very well placed, we could drive anywhere. Every night we sat in the garden and had our BBQ, it was very sad when we said goodbye, definitely would be back to this cottage again.
Thank you so much! I am delighted that you enjoyed staying in my gite and had such a wonderful experience!
What a beautiful property, thank you so very much. It had everything we needed, the decor was so very tasteful and pretty, and the whole gite was perfect for our stay. It was well furnished, and had everything in the kitchen you could possibly want, and more! Newly renovated in the most delightful manner, in keeping with the historical ambience.
Excellent communication from the owner, and the wonderful local assistance. The village is quiet (as we prefer) and yet you don't have to travel far for larger villages / towns, and Limoges is easily reaches - what a beautiful place that is! We travelled about a lot, and discovered many super little towns and villages, just brilliant.
One of the best things about the area was Lac du St Pardoux, which has sailing , a pentanque pitch, a lovely beach, pedalos, diving pontoons, and cafes. The boys (aged 11 and 10) adored it - it's all safe, and a clear favourite of the local people as well.
There are no restaurants in the village (sadly shut, the French economy?) but if you're prepared to drive then that's not an issue. We just barbequed lots and cooked wonderful local foods, so no worries there!
I do hope that everyone else has a great time here too, the gite was simply marvellous. Thank you so much! Nina and Mark.
Thank you for this wonderful review Nina! I am delighted that you had such a wonderful time. Best Wishes, Suzanne.
