Lovely views and pool. Recommended
We had a relaxing week in Casa Rossa, April was most helpful and easy to communicate with prior to commencing our holiday. When we arrived, it's a little difficult to find, but, Yvonne was on hand to assist and the welcome pack meant a well stocked fridge. The villa is large with high ceilings. The views from the villa are spectacular and the weather was mixed during our stay, but always hot (the A/C was very welcome at night). The pool was large and very clean. The pool attendant was in attendance throughout the mornings of our stay and was very entertaining. Great fun. There are several very nice beaches locally, just a short drive from the villa. Good local facilities, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and quaint Italian villages in the hills.

Lovely week in this airy well located villa
We had a great week in Casa Rossa, April and Scott could not have been more helpful before we arrived and everything was as we'd expected. The villa is spacious with nice high ceilings giving an airy feel and there was plenty of room for our family of six. The views from the balcony along the coast were spectacular and it was baking hot throughout our stay apart from during one very dramatic storm. The shared pool was large and never busy (it turned green one day but that was quickly sorted). We found lots of lovely beaches within a short - and some great restaurants, especially along the coast to the north and up in the hills behind the house. Recommended.

Very nice villa with beautiful views
We had a lovely stay, in this wonderful big house. The view and surrounding area is beautiful, and there are several good beaches close by, which are easy to access by car. We were greeted with a very nice welcome basket containing lots of great food, so we had a lovely dinner our first night. For the rest of the trip a nearby Lidl was very handy. We were seven persons staying in the villa two of us were small children so it was fantastic to come home every afternoon for a swim in the pool and then make dinner that we had on the terass with a beautiful view over the sea. April (owner) and Yvonne (our contact in Italy) helped us a lot with all our questions and we felt very welcome.

A wonderful, relaxing stay in a lovely home
It was a pleasure dealing with April in the lead up to our holiday. She was very helpful and ensured that we had all the information we needed. We'd never visited this region before, so we were more than pleasantly surprised by the villa and its location. We thought the villa was lovely and represented very good value for money. It's homely rather than 'swanky', but if you have children, it's a perfect place to relax and unwind. Most important of all, it was clean and spacious - and provided everything we needed. Yvonne, who greeted us, was very helpful, too. We loved the area and plan to visit again in the next few years. Highly recommended.

Lovely quiet spacious villa
We had a lovely (HOT!) week in Calabria - the air con was bliss at the end of a scorching day. Overall, a very comfortable stay - everything was in order on our arrival. We arrived early and the local agent (Yvonne) was able to accomodate us which was really helpful (with tired children!). We didn't spend alot of time at the villa - spent our days exploring all the beaches/villages along the coast - spoilt for choice. We ate out most days as the restaurants are reasonably priced compared to other areas in Italy - fantastic seafood, pasta, pizza - as you would expect! We hope to return to Calabria next year and explore further south towards Sicily - this whole region is really off the beaten track for tourists (not overdone like Tuscany!) - which we really liked. The owner (April) was also really helpful and very efficient on the communications front.

Owning a property in Italy has been a life long dream of mine. Having visited this beautiful country on several occasions I have come to love the unspoilt south and deliberately chose to buy a property on a hillside coastal location with views that cannot be rivalled anywhere in the world in my opinion - which I hope you will agree with should you choose to stay at Number 9.
My Home in Italy is a "Home from Home" with everything that is desired. "Al fresco" views for dining on the balcony or in the garden, sunsets or stars overlooking the mangnificence of the Tyrean Sea. I leave a little bit of my "Heart" behind when I leave, and know other people will love it just as much as me, always in "safe hands" my memories are yours too. Why they chose this property

This particular area really is beautiful, traditional Italy, Sun Sea and Scenery the 3 "s" all most important for a fulfilling holiday, whether relaxing or travelling. There is access to all coastal beaches as the villa is situated just off the main road 'SS18' which runs literally right along the entire South Western coastline. Towns and Villages within easy access too. Gorgeous, captivating views will live in your memory. Friendly people, beautiful areas of cultural and historical Interest, you may choose to drive straight down to Tropea, with its glorious beaches, or perhaps you will stay more local, where you are guaranteed of a "Welcome" near or far the people are the same, always delighted to help and enlighten you on the Italy which is their "secret", gradually becoming more popular with visitors and tourists alike, who realise what a "Jewel in the Crown" Calabria is. Far from the "hustle and bustle" of Central Italy, natural, idyllic and simply breathtaking...

What makes this property unique

Although a little out of the way, but situated off a main road, the view, the scenery, the private area with marvellous swimming pool and very spacious villa is your "home from home". Peaceful or a bit more lively vacation, it's your choice... A safe and very peaceful mix of locals,always helpful, and unlimited supplies of Fresh Produce very close by. All the ingredients for a great time "young or old". There is always plenty to do, places to visit cultural and historical. Or relaxing by the beautiful pool, talking to the locals too, always an experience, always a cheery smiling word, the friendliness breaking down any language barrier. Finally your very own "Special" time enjoying the fantastic view over the Ionian Sea from your very own Balcony Starlit skies. I welcome you all to your little slice of heaven...
