Why Heather chose Torrox

Having lived as a child in Spain in the seventies, it was always a dream to return here, I travelled from the Costa Brava to the Costa Del Sol looking at various locations, and on immediately entering Torrox I felt as if I had been here before. I think it's the fact that Torrox is a working Spanish village, always with life and action. With neighbours so kind and hospitable it makes living here very easy. 5 Minutes by car to the Costa where you can enjoy the beaches and med. It offers you everything and also has the title of the best climate in Europe so let's face it who wouldn't want to live here?

What makes this house unique

Having built and designed the house with an architect, allot of thought has went into the floor plan giving all three bedrooms their own bathrooms and the house offers three different lounges. Plenty of space for a large family or three different couples. The unique wrap round terrace adjacent to the kitchen makes dining alfresco a joy.

Notes on accommodation: The master bedroom has an open fire place, 3 balconets, walk in closet and en-suite with jazcuzzi, furnished elegantly. Bedroom no.2 has it's own entrance and access to ground floor terrace, again en-suite and modern furniture with large built in closets. Bedroom no.3 is on the first floor, with balcony and views to mountains and village, an ideal child's room. Bedroom no.4 is on the 3rd floor and adjacent to the roof terrace. I have tried to style and furnish the house like a small hotel giving every room privacy and space, I will always leave the house with the basics ie. cleaning material, soap powder, toilet paper, and kitchen essentials like oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, and fresh bread, milk and butter so that you can at least have some toast and a cup of tea before you have to go out and shop, what I believe are the basic essentials. Outside: Outside wraparound terrace with stone BBQ and seating area for up to eight making dining alfresco easy and pleasurable. Utility Room: Dishwasher, Ironing Board, Vacuum Cleaner etc Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included with extra set supplied for 2 week bookings (please bring own beach towels). The house will be cleaned weekly for all guests at no extra charge. I will also leave the house with all the basic essentials.

Esplendida Casa...

This house is amazing. Spread over three floors, it offers all mod cons from a corkscrew to dressing gowns in the bedrooms. It's location gives you a nice stroll into the town centre passing 4 lovely bars along the way.

The decor is boutique hotel in style. Owner Heather has put a lot of thought into the decor making it relaxing to the eye. The kitchen opens onto the terrace making its flow pleasing. The views from the roof terrace were amazing! Heather popped by a couple of times to ensure everything was ok which it was.

Torrox is still very Spanish. It's residents don't rely on tourism for income so you still get a taste of real Spain here. Some of the bars have little or no English which adds to the charm.

We look forward to a return visit in the very near future. I always feel obliged to review places that are wonderful, however do so begrudgingly as it reveals the secret to other potential customers. Thank you so much Heather - you were the perfect host!

Excellent 5 star property

I would have to say that this is one of the best properties I have had the pleasure of staying in, it has 3 floors enough to accommodate large families with a beautiful rooftop sun terrace with some amazing views. The beds are very comfy and the house is accommodated with everything you could possible need and more, my favorite part was the garden outdoor area where you could eat alfresco we used the BBQ there which was great the garden has a real ambience to it. Torrox Pueblo itself is a beautiful village surrounded by amazing scenery its very traditional and the tappas and restaurants are some of the best I have ever tried everything is within walking distance from the accommodation. Heather the owner is amazing made us feel very welcome and was very hospitable we were left with some lovley wine and lots of essentials in the fridge on arrival, her knowledge of Torrox and the surrounding areas was second to none I love walking and she was kind enough to show me a few hiking routes and also a mini tour of the Torrox Costa. I think that I have fell in love with the place both the accommodation and Torrox and I will be back and recommending to all of my friends and family. Thank you Heather.

Summer holiday

It was quite alright everything. Only a little problem with the dogs there barking all night so it's difficult to sleep.

Owner's Response: Well after 7 years of renting its the first time I have heard of this. Also it would be difficult to find anywhere in the village that does not have a dog or animal. I can't do anything about that so more constructive criticism would be preferred.

We also have stables in the campo very close and can organise excursions into the natural parks with traditional mule taxis. Or have a trek through the village and stop tie up your horse and have a coffee in the square We can also arrange for a horse and carriage ride to the Costa.


Nearest beach (10 mins drive) is Torrox Costa with long sandy beach. Several small coves for snorkeling short drive away. Resorts of Nerja & Torre del Mar with lovely sandy beaches 15 mins drive away. AquaVelez Water park 20 mins away.


Malaga Airport 40 mins (50km) by car. Granada Airport 1.5hrs.

Car hire is not essential as there is a regular bus service to Torrox Costa, el Morche, Nerja, Velez Malaga, Malaga etc.


In Torrox Village you will find a quaint plaza, bars, restaurants, shops & banks.

10mins from coastal resort of Torrox Costa with all amenities & lovely promenade lined with restaurants.

15 mins from busy resort of Nerja with Balcon de Europa, Nerja Caves & lively markets. 20 mins from resort of Torre del Mar with lots of shops & popular market.

Cosmopolitan city of Malaga 30 mins drive with museums, castle, cathedral, large port & many historic attractions.
