About Susie Fugle
My Grandmother moved into the house in 1927, my father was born here and we enjoyed many family holidays here. It was quite a fascinating place to visit as a child, Granny cooking in the Inglenook fireplace, with the cold water tap outside the back door and loo at the bottom of the garden. Very different to city life. We hired a black and white TV to watch the 1966 World Cup Final. Good investment it turned out! The surrounding beaches and countryside are beautiful and a short drive takes you to the Teifi Estuary and Poppet Sands and Mwnt, Penbryn, Tresaith, Llangranogg, Aberporth & Newport Sands. With walking along the Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire Coastal Paths and an 18 hole golf course in Gwbert. You can of course, just take it easy and enjoy the large back garden and look out at the River Teifi and watch the boats, canoes and birds go by.
Susie Fugle purchased this House in 1927
Why Susie Fugle chose Cardigan
The house is in a peaceful location tucked away in between St Mary's Church and the River Teifi in the oldest part of Cardigan. It has an old cottage feel with thick stone walls and wooden beams and a modern extension added a few years ago. The house is in a very handy location for longer day trips into Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
What makes this House unique
The surrounding countryside and beaches, Poppit Sands, Tresaith, Llangranogg, Penbryn and Mwnt are within a few miles offering lovely sandy beaches, coastal walks and nice cafes . Within walking or cycling distance from the house is the Welsh Wildlife Centre within the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, Cilgerran Castle, Cardigan Castle and Theatre Mwldan for movies and live performances. Also a short walk uptown for shops, cafes and restaurants. Up the road in St Dogmaels on Tuesdays is the BBC Food & Farming Award 2016 Winners: St Dogmaels Local Producers Market. Also close by Glebelands Market Garden for home grown fresh produce.
