Casa Panoramica is in the beautiful 'fairytale' Tuscan village of Pereta. The characteristic cobbled streets, tall watch tower, ancient churches, exquisite restaurants and friendly locals really make this place... a little piece of paradise. At the bottom of a quaint alleyway, nestled into the ancient exterior walls, characteristic steps lead up to the bright and spacious Casa Panoramica. Large open plan living area with 2 sofas, kitchen, fireplace. Two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath/shower. French doors open out onto a large private sunny balcony with table and chairs for alfresco dining, sun loungers to relax in the Tuscan sun and stunning views of the peaceful wooded valley. 1 minute walk to restaurants, bar and pizzeria. Only 20 mins drive to lovely sandy beaches. 30 mins to Saturnia hot springs. there is no wifi in the actual house just yet but free wifi is available in the local bar and restaurant in the village. there is no parking at the house due to the narrow cobbled street but free parking is available just 1 minute walk away in the car park or on the road approaching the village. Would suit a family with children, couples or a group seeking a relaxing retreat in a traditional Tuscan village close to many places of interest. An unforgettable experience and a true taste of Tuscany. Many people return to Pereta year after year... its a real hidden gem.

To cut a long story short. I am a Yorkshire girl who fell in love with an Italian. We both fell in love with Tuscany, especially Pereta!
deborah purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why deborah chose Magliano in Toscana
We have spent many holidays in this area of Tuscany before we had children and after, and fell in love with Pereta the very first time we stepped under the arched entrance. I thought it was like a fairytale village. Casa Panoramica is above our other property Casa Romantica, so I have always had my eye on it as it has a great balcony!
What makes this Apartment unique
Pereta village is a real hidden gem and so is Casa Panoramica. You really feel like you are hidden away all alone but actually you are in the village close to everthing. I love the bright open space in the house and the large balcony is so private and relaxing... great for sun bathing and al-fresco dining. I could spend all day on the balcony! We love to eat out when we go to Pereta as Maria's restaurant serves the best and cheapest set menu ever with traditional local food to die for. We all enjoy going to the pizzeria with Franco's pizza's definitely the best in Italy and it has to be the most child friendly place ever! We love popping to the beach or Saturnia Springs.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
Amazing holiday in an amazing place!
Beautiful Casa Panoramica in the picturesque village of Pereta. Had a fabulous week x
Nice place to stay!
Deborah was a great host! She is a great communicator, responding to all my questions. She provided great directions, information about the area, and recommendations on where to eat. We ate at her recommended restaurant, Maria's, and what a pleasant surprise! It was a fantastic place to eat and at a tremendous price (25 euro for the entire meal!).
The apartment was roomy, clean, and had a great view!
This place is wonderful and real delight! The incredible view from the little terrace and the special area were this place is located - will make your stay a real treat. You got all you want near by 2 great restaurants, a Pizzeria and 2 nice little italian Coffee Bars. The place was spotless clean and even towels for the beach were there. You wake up with singing birds and can watch at night a amzing sky full of stars. The host Debbie cares about everything and we felt most welcomed and supported. We can recommend this place very much and will come back again.
Thank you for your lovely review Udo. I am really pleased you loved Pereta as much as we do!! Glad you liked the house and yes the balcony is a real treat. It was great to meet you and I hope you return to Pereta again soon. See you there!!
A true taste of Tuscany
We found the apartment spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. The view was so beautiful from the balcony, the village being very quaint and totally unspoilt. We visited the two restaurants which were excellent. (Although the pizzas were fantastic, our advice would be to book the pizzeria at busy times as we couldn't get a table on our third visit.)
The roads around Pereta were gloriously empty even at the peak season and the recommendations for visits were very helpful. We plan to return to Pereta, "The Village of Pears", but instead of one week in August, we would stay for two weeks at a slightly cooler time of year in order to comfortably tour the wider region and cities such as Siena, Rome and Florence.
Thanks for your review. I am really pleased you were very happy with the house and enjoyed staying in unspoilt Pereta. I didn't realise that Pereta meant little pears... you know more than me!! Yes do come for 2 weeks next time as there are so many beautiful places to visit 1 week is never enough. I will book the pizzeria for you!! See you again soon
We spent a wonderful week in Pereta which was the ideal location in which to explore this beautiful region of Tuscany. Casa Panoramica was all we had hoped for and much more - the views from the balcony were beautiful and we spent most days catching the sun.
The apartment was great - plenty of room and lovely and clean. Pereta is an unspoilt gem, with the most friendly people and the most wonderful food. We ate at the local restaurants and pizzeria and the quality and hospitality was outstanding. All that is left to say is that we are looking at dates for our return...
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you had a wonderful time and loved the house and Pereta. It's very handy having such amazing restaurants and pizzeria on your doorstep in the village and I am pleased you enjoyed their food and hospitality... I will tell them!!
Hope to see you back in Pereta very soon.
Excellent holiday and will be returning
We had a fantastic week at Pereta staying in Casa Panoramica the village house was delightful gave you a real feeling of Tuscany ,the owners had catered for everyone the welcome basket was a really nice touch and saved you rushing to buy amenities straight away. There was loads of good information on the best places to visit which we found very useful ,the accomadation was extremely clean and comfortable.A visit to the local restaurant Marias is recommended excellent food and wine great atmosphere we enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning for 2 weeks stay next year a week was not long enough for us so much to see and do looking forward to returning.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am very happy you had such a good time that you are returning next year. I am sure you will get round to going to all the places on my info. Glad you found it useful. Shall I book you a table at Maria's restaurant?
See you next year :-)
The Maremma coastline is just 20 minutes drive away, with its beautiful sandy beaches where you can enjoy water sports, relax and soak up the Tuscan sun or even hire bikes and cycle along the coast line through pine woods, keeping your eyes open for wild boar and deer!
Nearest airports, Pisa or Rome, are approx. 2 hours drive away. Car hire is essential. Albinia train station is only 15 minutes drive away where you can hop on a train to Rome for the day!
There is no parking in the village due to narrow cobbled streets but you can park your car on the road approaching the village or in the car park, both free and a short stroll from the house.
There are many interesting towns close by well worth a visit such as Pitigliano, Porto santo Stefano, Scansano, Magliano in Toscana, Sorano, Montiano, Montorgiali, Roccalbegna, Grosseto and many more. A little further a field are Siena and Pisa and the elegant cities of Rome and Florence are about 2 hours drive away or 1 hour by train. The Maremma national park is 25 mins drive and Saturnia's Hot Springs 30mins drive. You can take a ferry ride from Porto Santo Stefano to Giglio Island.
The whole area boasts delicious traditional cuisine and fine wines like DOC Morellino di Scansano from the nearby town of Scansano, where you can sample wines and local specialities in one of the characteristic ‘enotecas’ (tasting shops) or just sit outside the cafe with a delicious Italian ice-cream and watch the world go by! The famous spa town of Saturnia, only 30minutes drive away, with its hot natural springs cascading into small rock pools, like mother natures Jacuzzi is a definite must especially in the winter! For the more energetic there is a horse riding stables down near the beach just 20 minutes drive away, where you can trek through olive groves in the Tuscan hills. If you want lively bars and an English breakfast on your holiday, this is definitely not the place for you! If you’re looking for culture, art, crafts, tradition, local cuisine, fine wines all in an area of stunning natural beauty, where the pace of life slows right down under the Tuscan sun… then you’ll definitely enjoy a holiday in this part of paradise!
Tuscany boasts a lovely climate. The best way to describe it is that it seems to have 'proper' seasons which all have something special to share with you... Warm sunny Spring days make a regular appearance from as early as March sending the area into full bloom with blossom on the trees and poppies by the roadside. The summers are hot and relaxing with inviting beaches and shaded pine forests. Autumn's sunny days are a kaleidoscope of colours, an array of aromas with bursting vines and olive groves awaiting harvest time. The winter months are colder, time to enjoy the quiet villages filled with the cosy aroma of wood burning on the open fires, wrap up warm for a stroll on the beach or soak away your worries in the nearby hot springs of Saturnia... Mother Nature's Jacuzzi!
A hospitality fee is payable at the house: 60 euro for up to 2 people. 70 euro for 3-5 people. This includes the hire and laundry costs of all towels, beach towels and bed linen. A welcome basket on arrival (pasta, sauce, wine, bread, biscuits, jam, milk) plus the final clean when you leave.
