Gran Bahia is a prestigious development just 3 km from the centre of Marbella. Built to highest specification by award winning developer. Within walking distance of the five star Los Monteros Hotel. The Gran Bahia complex is situated opposite the Santa Clara golf course and just past the popular Rio Real golf course. Set in a glorious location with an abundance of exotic flowers shrubs and lemon trees. Five pools one heated all year round, temperature of the pool is 32 degrees with privacy and seclusion uppermost. 24 hour security at its highest with remote control entry underground parking and lifts to apartments. A superb seafood restaurant on the beach, tennis club five minutes away Costa del Sol hospital less than five minutes drive. The Puerto Banus marina is ten minutes for designer shopping.

About Nick/Lisa

Hello and welcome to our home in idyllic Spain! We have holidayed at these apartments for the past ten years so a few years ago we decided to "push the boat out" and buy a ground floor apartment with a private garden as we have two teenage sons and a small toddler.

There is something to do everyday or just relax around the beautiful tropical gardens or relax around the FIVE different clean, quiet pools. One pool is heated throughout the year, we stayed last December 2012 and the climate was so sunny and 65 degrees! Don't forget on a clear day you can see the coast of Morrocco!

We try to holiday every term time with our three sons who love it out there but sadly due to elderly parents we are starting to rent out and let others enjoy our little bit of paradise in the SUN!

Why Nick/Lisa chose Marbella

We have holidayed at Gran Bahia for the last ten years. Good friends of ours bought off plan but sadly we could not afford it. So every summer for two weeks we look forward to our holiday at Gran Bahia.

The beauty of the complex is that it is so near the beach, on the east side of Marbella and the resort is always clean, quiet and so peaceful-truly paradise.

The apartments are first class, very large with 3 bathrooms fitted with granite and beautiful marble floors. It's only a 35 minute drive form Malaga airport and so easy just one road all the way from the airport exit! We love the locals they are so so friendly and the local restaurants are superb. Honestly our apartment has a sea view from our garden-what more could you ask for.

What makes this apartment unique

The East of Marbella is considered the most exclusive. It's quiet and peaceful but if you want the pace, nightlife and razzamattazz it's only a 10 minute drive to Puerto Banus where life is definitely in the fast lane! The Centre of Marbella is busy too during the high season.

So Gran Bahia is a special paradise away from the rat race where you can relax, unwind and soak up the endless sunshine rays. You will not be disappointed.

Tolle Unterkunft mit guter Einrichtung

Wir hatten tolle Familienferien mit unseren beiden Töchtern (5 und 7 jährig). Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet. Auch Bade- und Strandsachen sind vorhanden. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und alles hat problemlos geklappt. Die Kombination von Pool unmittelbar bei der Wohnung und Strand in Gehdistanz hat sich bewährt.

Amazing !

From start to finish this has been one of our best holiday's.

The apartment is gorgeous which is in a gated community which made us feel really safe ...especially with our little boy. The grounds are absolutely stunning!!

There is everything you need in the apartment.

There is a pool right outside the back which has a great shallow section for little ones. We felt so comfortable.

The beach is a short walk out of the back gate. ... beach is again fab.

We did try the restaurant on the beach. Food was good.

Nearest shop is 1km away. Supersol.

We chose to not hire a car... I would say it would have been helpful (for shopping) but for not to much trouble for us. Depends how much you want to walk. We would walk straight on up the road ten minutes cross the bridge to the hospital and catch the bus to Marbella. We did this most evenings. Buses are about 1.18€ each...single and takes 10mins to get to town. The buses run sort of every half hour. But finish around 8 to half past. Time table really easy.

We also got the coach from marbella to the air port which was about 16€ for 3 of us. You can book this online. But must have the tickets printed.

We also tried the orange tree restaurant in the old town.. which couldn't be nicer..the food was delicious !! If you eat later must book.

Overall we are pretty sad to be back home...:) simply fab hols.

Excellent, relaxing, stay

The many positives about our stay: top quality apartment and equipment, very spacious, very quiet. Great swimming pools, good access to Marbella old town, (an hour walking, 1.18 Euro/person on bus - 5 minutes walk, 11 Euro taxi), high speed reliable Wifi. Great patio area for lunching/late night drinks.

Slightly disappointing factors (all pretty minor) - the nearby beach restaurant had pretty average food (in our opinion), check-in/out procedure was a little disorganised, TV was available, but was only usable with the Chromecast device we'd brought with us.

As I say the many positives outweigh the minor gripes, and I would definitely recommend the property.

A Peaceful and Relaxing Holiday, Great Location and Highly Recommended

The whole experience staying here was fantastic, the complex is spacious and the apartment was large enough for 4 adults to be very comfortable. The apartment was clean with everything you would need provided. The introduction and information Nick provided was clear, from collecting the keys down to a recommendation for car hire!

The pool area had plenty of space with a choice of 5 pools, you were never overcrowded. Many of the apartments in the complex are privately owned and there is good security, so you felt safe.

The location was fantastic with the beach a 5 minute walk and the beach restaurant served some fantastic seafood. Marbella was a 10 minute - 10 Euro taxi ride away where there was an abundance of bars and restaurants and Santa Maria Golf Club and the Marbella Golf and County club are within a 5 minute drive or taxi ride.

Summary - Great location, spacious apartment and everything you could need for a relaxing holiday on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Our apartment is 2 minutes walking distance to the beach. A most beautiful sandy beach which stretches for miles. It is a 40 minute walk on the beach to Marbella town and old lighthouse. Great fish, meat and tapas restaurants along the sea front.


Malaga airport, 35 minutes drive away. Car hire is recommended.


Malaga town centre, 40 minutes drive by car or bus. Marbella town centre 5 minutes drive, Puerto Banus 10 minutes drive. Why not take a trip to Mijas, Estepona, Rhonda or even Gibralter (1hr 15 mins) drive.

Further Details:

Local supermarket,shops,banks. 3 minute drive. Many restaurants walking distance. Golf courses and tennis courts all very near.
