Spring break 2016

The rental property was perfect for us!! We could not have asked for a better location!! My kids were able to walk to the boardwalk while I was able to walk to Abbott Kennedy shops!! The rental was furnished with everything we needed during the stay.. Neighbors were very friendly! Hoping to rent again next year!!

Planet Earth and beyond

This is the perfect spot in Venice, cocooned between the beach and Abbot Kinney. Quiet and still close to the action. Great hideaway. The house and ammenities were as expected: functional and cool. I stongly recommend it for singles, couples and families.

Home Away From Home

When we arrived in Venice Beach, we had no idea we'd be that to the actual beach. We were shocked at how short of a walk it was from our cute little bungalow to the boardwalk. We'd spend the day wandering the shops, stop home real quick for towels, then head to the beach.

The older 21+ kids enjoyed the proximity to small, local bars, where my daughter surprisingly bumped into American Idol's Randy Jackson at a speakeasy.

Be prepared for tight parking, but it can only be expected so close to the beach, so you can't complain about it.

As for the bungalow itself, my husband won't stop raving about the master bedroom's overhead shower. My son and his wife stayed in the other room, and my two younger daughters slept on what they said was a comfy pull-out couch. We grabbed some groceries at Ralph's and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our meals. The furniture was nice and the rooms were well-decorated.

We ran into the owner once and she was very friendly. Maintenance came to fix a broken sink before we realized it was broken. The only thing I'd recommend would be to clear out the kitchen plates and cups and buy some dollar store matching ones - it gives the bungalow a more professional, clean feeling that makes you feel you spent your money on a nice place with matching utensils, like you wish you had at home. :-)

I'd definitely stay here again and fully recommend it to friends and family! It felt more like a home than a hotel, which made the trip more relaxing.

Perfect experience!

We were 7 people and wanted something close to the beach, that was the perfect place, with 2 kitchen and 3 bathroom so we could perfectly combine.

The houses had everything we needed and were very clean and comfortable. We all agreed that even it was a temporary experience we felt as at home!

We strongly recommend it!

Owner's Response: This guest rented 2 of the beach bungalow units at this beach property. One unit was a 2 bedroom 2 bath and the other was a smaller 2 bedroom 1 bath. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit is VRBO # 80553. Very nice people.

2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Beach Bungalow Review

"Our overall experience was very good. We had problems with the printer the first day, made a call to Michael and had a new printer delivered to the property the same day. Great customer service.

The property had EVERYTHING we needed for our 30 day stay. Most importantly great beds and an excellent rain shower for two.

The property is extremely well located for walking or driving to everything of interest in the area. A short 5 minute or less walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Gold's Gym, 15 minutes or less to the heart of Main street in Santa Monica for a great breakfast or lunch at the Urth Cafe, Pannini Garden or dinner at Chenois on Main or Cheyas.

Also about a 15 minute stroll along the Venice Beach boardwalk to the Cow's End on Washington for to-die-for smoothies and wraps. Short 5-10 minute drive to the Lobster and other great seafood restaurants along Pacific and Ocean Avenue as well as the Third Street Promenade for shopping, dining and street entertainment.

Enjoyable drive along the PCH to the Getty Museum and Nobu's in Malibu (Cross Creek Road) for the best Japanese food available on the planet. Stop at Moonshadows for ocean view dining and drinks.

What you definitely need to ask if you plan on taking the first floor 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit as we did: Will anyone be occupying the top floor unit during your stay? We spent the month being awakened at 6:30 AM or earlier by an active two year old running and jumping on the hardwood floors above us.

The owners need to carpet the 2nd floor 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment to minimize the noise made by the occupants and the inconvenince to the first floor occupants in the event both floors are occupied simultaneously. Once this is completed the property would have to be rated as Excellent.

Owner's Response: The 2nd floor unit has been carpeted now. We never have received complaints before, but we thought it might be good to carpet anyway. This tenant did call us a lot as you can see, trouble with the printer, trouble with using the telephone, trouble with using the TV. Really needed to have help with everything. Sometimes we get this type and we do the best we can in helping them. Everything with our property works perfectly.

The World famous Venice Beach Boardwalk is not to be missed. If you are visiting the Los Angeles area, you owe it to yourself to come to Southern California’s number one visitor attraction. Stretching about one a half miles along the manicured sands of the Pacific Ocean, the boardwalk is a large part of what makes Venice unique. On the west side of the “walk” are hundreds of street vendors and performers. You can see everything from break-dancing to broken glass walking. Mimes to musicians, jugglers to jesters and everything in between make up the human landscape. You can have your fortune read, get a temporary tattoo or have your name written on a grain of rice. If souvenirs is what you are after then the boardwalk is the place to go. The Westside offers unique arts and crafts, odds and ends and one of kinds only obtainable here. Paintings, photos, rocks of various sorts and sculptures are among the popular offerings. On the Eastside are the store fronts of the boardwalk. Here you will find every sort of t-shirt under the sun. From the politically motivated to sexually charged to the plain old Venice Beach t-shirt there is sure to be one for everybody. In addition, there are tattoo and piercing stores, skate and surf shops, medical marijuana dispensaries and more. You can buy sun glasses, vaporizers, beer and shoes. This is all in addition to the large selection of restaurants, juice spots and bars. In summary, packed into its one and a half mile, the boardwalk has more diversity in demographics and retail then probably anywhere else in the world. There is reason it so famous. Come and see for yourself!
