About Helen Gray
Hi, we are Mike and Helen who moved to Woolacombe from London in 2006 to start a family. We now live in the village with our 2 children and wouldn't give up the beach life for anything! We lived at the House at Pebbles initially but after our 2nd child was born we moved to a bigger house, which we also now let in the summer while we are on holiday. We love our summer holidays and therefore are happy to share our houses with like-minded people who we know will look after it and enjoy the area and the safety for children as much as we do.
Helen Gray purchased this House in 2002
Why Helen Gray chose Mortehoe
We bought the House at Pebbles when it was being converted and fell in love with it instantly, purely because of the view. We like being close enough to do things in the village but far enough out to be quiet and away from the crowds. The short, but vertical walk up the hill to Mortehoe brings you to a quaint little village almost stuck in time with lovely country pubs and beautiful coastal walks.
What makes this House unique
Easy reach of all beaches Private off Road parking Not in the hustle and bustle of the main village Patio with views over the bay Welcome pack

What a gem!
This house is excellent for a stay by the beach with fantastic views. The owners have thought of everything. It is so well decorated, equipped and spotlessly clean that you can't help but relax. We will hopefully stay there again in the future.
Nice but needs a few tweaks.
The property was acceptable.
Location very good. Kitchen well equipped.
(Your photo with wine bottle is not exactly correct as there's a big roof of the Watersmeet Hotel sticking up in the view.)
The reason for three stars is as follows:
- would recommend that as the shower is part of the bath that a handle be put on the wall for steadying oneself.
- the mattress on the master bed needs to be either changed or turned as there's a big dip right in the middle.
- the second bedroom beds are too small for an adult.
- an additional stair rail should be added to the staircase for assistance for people with crutches/sticks.
( the reason I add this is that I did enquire about stairs when booking this apartment and although no stairs into the house the bedrooms are downstairs.)
A lovely holiday home with amazing views
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The house was extremely clean. We loved the close proximity to the beaches and Woolacombe. The cream tea, Easter eggs and wine on arrival were a lovely touch. The views from the property were amazing and we will definitely be back. Thank you
Beautiful house by the sea- perfect getaway
We arrived after a long journey to find wine and scones with jam and clotted cream- what a treat! The house was better than the pictures- really clean, really comfortable with breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room and master bedroom. The house was also totally set up for babies and kids with a stairgate, toys, cot and high chair and even small tubs to take toddler food to the beach!
We had such a lovely break, the village is very pretty with plenty of places to eat and a shop for groceries.
Thank you Helen for a really wonderful stay- we will definitely be back!
Great holiday home
Lovely house with breathtaking views. Spent a long weekend at Pebbles and couldn’t fault it, everything you need and a lovely welcome pack was a bonus. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
Lovely house with great views.
A very clean and well equipped house. Comfortable bed and cosy sitting room. I stayed at Christmas and when I arrived the Christmas lights over the balcony were on making a lovely welcome. I was left a Christmas cake, wine and chocolates which were also very welcome. I had a lovely relaxing stay.
