2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 5min walk to ski school/pistes/shops/Aquatic Centre. Amazing dual aspect views to pistes & valley.

A lovely light, airy and spacious apartment of 56sq m set out over three split levels. At the entrance level is an alcove for storing outdoor coats/shoes, a few steps lead down to the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Here there is a double room (king bed), a triple bunk room (full size single beds), both rooms have generous storage and fabulous views north down the valley. The two bathrooms comprise one with full sized bath and shower overhead, shower screen, basin, WC and heated towel rail. The second has a shower cubicle, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

A few more steps lead down to the living area with an open plan fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge (small freezer compartment), dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. The bar area with high stools divides the kitchen and lounge which has a large dining table, L shaped sofa, coffee table, large flat screen TV, DVD, CD/radio, ipod dock.

The large French sliding doors, the width of the apartment, open out onto the south facing balcony with wonderful views up to the pistes and 1850. There is a ski locker in the basement and it is possible to exit from there for the max 5mins walk up to the resort centre and lifts/ski school/pistes.

The resort (now renamed Moriond, it's original name) is a very friendly, unpretentious resort which is gradually being refurbished with an alpine look. As well as plenty of shops, there are some great bars and restaurants in the resort and the après ski is really lively. The bus service to Le Praz/1550/1850 runs every 10 mins should you want a quick route to a different ski area or just a change of scene. 1850 is the more glamorous (read expensive!) neighbour whilst 1550 is quieter but has a fantastic toboggan run starting in 1850 and linked by a bubble running through the evening.

We live in the south east and have two children aged 18yrs and 21yrs. Skiing has been a big part of our lives since a young age and our children learned when they were 3yrs old when their skis were the length of a baguette! As well as skiing with the family we each take our own friends for holidays there as singles can be comfortably accommodated. Although we ski in various other resorts this remains our favourite as it is by far the best with it's huge area and very well connected lift system due to the huge amount invested in the area.

Why Judy Zussman chose Courchevel

We have both skied a lot in the Three Valleys and I had done seasons in both Meribel Mottaret and Courchevel so it seemed the obvious choice to buy here. We bought the property in a poor state in 2004 and had it refurbished throughout to a high standard. It was bought primarily for our enjoyment but with a view to letting it out at other times. Courchevel 1650 is a less expensive place to stay to enjoy the Three Valley ski area and the 1650 pistes are always quiet as it is not a thoroughfare to other resorts. It is perfect for beginners and intermediates and for more advanced skiers to warm up before heading over to the fantastic reds and blacks in 1850 and beyond, which are accessed by just one very fast newly installed lift.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in a great position, so close to the resort centre and with fabulous views due to the prominence of the building. The layout of the apartment gives a feeling of space being set over three levels plus having two bathrooms makes a massive difference to logistics at the end of the day, very few apartments of this size offer this benefit.

We had a lovely time staying in your apartment, it's in a great location and easy to reach the gondola station, even with two small children and four pairs of skis! Also within walking distance of restaurants, bakery, ski rental etc.

The apartment itself was spacious, clean, well equipped and warm and has a huge ski room with lockers.

The owner Judy is friendly and helpful and responded promptly to emails and telephone calls.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided and the cost of weekly cleaning is included. However the apartment must be left in a tidy state, any unreasonable cleaning costs will be deducted from the damages deposit. There is a large under stairs storage cupboard which houses a drying rack, iron and ironing board. There is also space for suitcase storage.

Comfortable, spacious apartment in good location.

We had a lovely holiday in this apartment. The apartment was clean, warm, spacious and well equipped.The 2 shower rooms were a bonus! . I would certainly stay here again should we return to Courchevel. The building is well maintained with a friendly caretaker. We were provided

with lots of information before we arrived. There is a short walk to the ski lift station where we hired a locker.

Great appartment, spacious and welll equipped

Well cared for apartment, very comfy and perfect for our family of 5. Well furnished, well equipped kitchen and benefits from 2 bathrooms. Large balcony with view and 5 min walk from centre of 1650.

Propre, confortable et bien agencé

Appartement différent de ceux habituellement loués : 2 niveaux et surtout 2 Salles de bain ce qui est très appréciable. Logement fonctionnel dans un environnement calme, avec un bon niveau d'équipement, y compris le wi fi. La résidence est très bien entretenue et plutôt occupée par des familles. Situé à quelques minutes du front de neige avec la possibilité de laisser le matériel de ski en gardiennage (Francis Blanc sport) juste avant d'accéder au télésiège. Le domaine skiable est immense et la qualité des remontées permet de rejoindre meribel les menuires et val thorens assez rapidement. Station moins huppée que courchevel 1850 mais bénéficiant d'un excellent accueil de la part de tous les commerçants et personnels des pistes.

Très bonne communication avec Judy qui est anglaise mais avec quelques mots d'anglais on se comprend très bien !

Nous gardons cette adresse pour de futures vacances.

Swiss is the only airline which doesn't charge for skis and along with BA fly from Heathrow. Easyjet fly Gatwick-Geneva and depending on baggage carried offer cheap and frequent flights. Courchevel 1650 is about a 2hrs drive and there is a good supermarket (Super U) just after Moutiers for stocking up unless you are late and need to stop at the huge Geant in Albertville! Chambery has a small airport 1.5hrs away and Lyon/Grenoble are about 2hrs. Eurostar links with Paris/Moutiers, with a local bus service up to all 3 Valley resorts. Car hire is the easiest route to resort if flying although a car is not necessary in resort. There is a train and bus service from the airports connecting with Moutiers.

Further Details:

In the centre of the resort is the bakery, several supermarkets, ski shops, gift shops and cashpoint (Credit Agricole). There are cafes, lively bars, a nightclub and several restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets. 1650 has been undergoing major exterior refurbishment in the last two or three years which is transforming it from a 60's haven to a resort with some alpine charm. A couple of new 4 star hotels have been built in the old style which enhance the much improved look and feel of the resort. If you want to take advantage of the fabulous Courchevel ski area without paying the inflated prices of 1850, then look no further!
