Apartment in Peyia, Coral Bay Area, Paphos, Cyprus - Peaceful Location, just a 5 Minute Drive to the Beach, Mountain and Sea View
About LINDA BLAKE
Hi my name is Linda and I live in Jersey in the Channel Islands with my partner Peter. We bought our apartment in Cyprus after falling in love with the beautiful country and friendly Cypriot people. Cyprus reminded us of Jersey with its beautiful beaches but with good weather all year round!
LINDA BLAKE purchased this Apartment in 2009
Why LINDA BLAKE chose Peyia
We chose Peyia because of its peaceful existence and its old world Cypriot charm. The village in walking distance of the aprtment has tavernas, bars and local shops. Yet just five minutes drive away and you can be in Coral Beach with its clear turquoise blue sea. You are never short of restaurants to suit all tastes at Coral Bay, including bars and nightclubs for the young at heart!

Quiet and peaceful
An excellent stay in a quiet and peaceful complex while not being too far from good eateries and entertainment, not to mention lovely beaches. The property was well equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it and, as usual, did not want to come home!
The Apartment is clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished and well decorated. Everything you are likely to need during you stay is provided for you and the large pool is but a few steps away. You really need a car to get to the Apartment and to get to the Supermarket, but other than that you have everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The Owner, Linda, gave us brilliant instructions on how to find the place and provided some useful suggestions on the local bars and restaurants. The shower cubicle was a little tight for this out of condition former Lock Forward, but the water was hot and the water pressure very good, so what the Hell? This is a lovely Apartment, we very much enjoyed our stay and I’m sure you will too.
Thank you again for your kind review if I’d known you were from Glamorgan and played Rugby 🏉 I would have considered a discount ha! ha! I was born in Swansea!
Clean and well equipped
The directions were clear, getting access to the keys was easy. Apartment was very well equipped, as per the description. There was a lot of crockery and cutlery.
Instructions for getting the TV & Sat feed working were good. We used the sauna several times but not the swimming pool.
The weather only warmed up in the last third of our time in Cyprus.
All in all nothing to complain about
Thank you for your kind review Anthony and I’m very happy you found my apartment adequate. I’m glad you managed to use the facilities of the complex. I’m sorry to hear about the weather although I’ve heard it hasn’t been a good winter for Cyprus this year. However I hope this hasn’t put you off from visiting again.
Lovely Apartment and great for our long stay of 6 weeks!!
What a lovely apartment!! This apartment is both comfortable and really well equipped. You even get a sea view, which is in the distance but still great to wake up to in the mornings and watch the sun set in the evenings. It has everything you will need including a dishwasher!! We stayed until December and the provision of wifi and TV with all UK chanels and endless films was really invaluable when the weather was not so good outside. Linda was also really helpful when asking questions before and during our stay, a great host. We can see why this apartment is so popular with sensible rates and a very helpful owner who is interested in providing a great stay for her clients. Thank you Linda.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that we were a little disappointed with the outside facilities offered. That is in the 'Notes' in the description for this property states "The complex has an underground heated indoor swimming pool with sauna, jacuzzi and gymnasium." We were looking forwatd to the jacuzzi however we found out from other owners this had been removed a few years ago and there is just an empty space now. The indoor heated pool is unfortunately only as warm as the outside pool which in Nov/Dec is cold. The sauna also was broken 5 days before we left. Just a note to Linda, you must be paying quite a bit in maintenance charges and seems that the company who own this complex are not really giving you value for money with respect to the up keep of these facilities.
I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at my apartment. I can understand your disappointment with not having the jacuzzi which I have now deleted from my advert. Please accept my apologies but the advert was put on Homeaway a while ago and it was remiss of me not to take it out. As far as the sauna is concerned this has now been fixed. As far as the heated swimming pool is concerned, this is now determined by the amount of guests staying on the complex. As you can appreciate electricity in Cyprus is extremely expensive and I understand from the management committee that they have had to go down this route because of this. I do apologise for any inconvenience.
Relaxing warm October break
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Linda’s apartment, very relaxing and more items of kitchen equipment that I have at home if you wanted to cook. We hired a car from the airport and got some supplies in from Lidl’s in Paphos but there was a larger supermarket in Coral Bay. Linda was contactable via email at all times to solve any questions. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, Savvas was the closest with a fab Cypriot night, and the bars made us feel very welcome. I walked to coral bay in the daytime but don’t think I would recommend in the evening but there may have been an easier route but either way comfy shoes are required and water on a hot day for the journey back uphill.
If you have a car recommend The Last Castle .. only open during the day and Lara beach we practically had it to ourselves. Explored Latchi and Aphrodite’s baths and found a local eatery in Steni. In paphos we enjoyed the 3 pigs huge portions so make sure you are hungry. Would definitely like to return to Linda’s apartment in the not too distant future.
So many thanks for taking the time to write such an informative review. I’m glad that you had an enjoyable stay at my apartment. There were a few places you mentioned that I haven’t seen myself yet and look forward to visiting them on my next visit.
Lovely apartment, great value for money.
We had a lovely time in this apartment. The TV set up was brilliant, lots of UK channels and able to go back and watch previous programmes too. We were pleased that we were able to park car under cover right outside front door. The Vanessa apartment complex is nice, lovely pool and quiet.
The only negative was that there were no Instructions in the apartment on how to find the nearest supermarket, or the village centre. Reviews said it was 10 minutes walk away. We set off walking but couldn’t find it, and didn’t know in which direction to walk. In the end with a lot of google maps help we found it. It was too far to walk as uphill and quite a distance.
I would recommend this apartment. We would love to return.
Many thanks for your kind review. However I was disappointed that you couldn’t find directions to the nearest supermarket. There are brochures in the apartment, but I do encourage my guests to ask me any questions when I send them the details of the apartment. I’m glad the difficulty in finding the supermarket hasn’t put you off from visiting again.
With beautiful Coral Beach just five minutes away by car, besides its clear turquoise water and white sandy beach, the area offers a variety of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. A marina is soon to be built in the Peyia area.
Paphos Airport is just forty minutes away by car. Car hire is recommended or taxi transfer can be arranged.
Peyia village just five minutes walk away offers local shops, supermarket, bank with ATM machine, tavernas and pubs. You are just five minutes drive from Coral Bay beach and restaurants and twenty minutes to Paphos town with its beautiful harbour.
Peyia still holds onto its strong Cypriot values. The original village, church and coffee shops with its meandering streets dominate the village centre where people pass the time of day. Surrounding villages such as Tela, Kissonerga, Chlorakas and St. George are all similar interesting places to visit. The local village shops seem to always be open in the village. The smell of fresh bread from the bakery and the meat cut to order at the local butchers, along with the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables at the local supermarket compliments this wonderful way of life. The views when walking down from the village are breathtaking! A visit to 'The Grande' a local taverna in the midst of the village to quench your thirst and a taste of local cuisine or try Savvas Grill with local Cypriot cuisine and join in the Cypriot dancing! Inevitably a car is a must in Cyprus to visit the beautiful surrounding beaches of i.e. Paphos, Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Protaras.
Cyprus offers golf, water sports, horse-riding, fishing, mountain-biking, jeep safaris, tennis, Winter sun breaks and good nightlife.
