About Mike Miller

I moved to Kingsbridge, south Devon from Buckinghamshire, retiring early, eighteen years ago.

I have always loved the countryside and its wildlife and am enjoying living in this beautiful part of England.

Mike Miller purchased this cottage in 2002

Why Mike Miller chose Kingsbridge

The row of cottages were built around 1840 and lived in by brewery and mill workers at the time.

In the 1960s and 70s the cottages were scheduled for demolition, but fortunately saved and now Grade II listed, as can be seen by the original wooden sash windows with the old wonkey glass.

As a consequence, any changes have been done in a sympathetic manner, but at the same time making it a warm, welcoming place to stay.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage has level access to the centre of Kingsbridge (Kingsbridge Quay), just a few minutes walk.

Secure off-road parking close by.

Close to several restaurants and pubs within minutes

walk.

Close to bus station, forget your car and travel to Dartmouth/Plymouth/Salcombe/Totnes.

Access to an area 'of outstanding natural beauty' with many unspoilt natural beaches.

Lovely little cottage for two people, good shower and all the amenities although we don't use the oven as we spent a great week exploring the local area.

We loved this little cottage

  • 4 of 5

This is a two up two down Victorian cottage , fully equipped to a high standard. It is in a central location, very close to dog friendly pubs and several takeaways. There are good parking arrangements for guests staying at the cottage . Mike the owner is great and from booking to meeting him at the cottage he made sure everything ran smoothly.

We had a lovely stay , the only small criticism we would make is that the picture showing the area in front of the cottage is a bit flattering..... it is actually a bit scruffy and the grass area small and not mown . Sure this is out of Mike’s control .

We would certainly recommend this cottage to couples with a dog as the walking on the south west coastal path is so accessible.

Owner's Response: Good to hear you enjoyed your stay. Just to answer your comment about the condition of the grass. As your stay coincided with one of the hottest and driest summers in many years, the advise was to refrain from cutting during the drought.
