There are also a number of golf courses and horse racing at both Goodwood, only 20 mins away, and Fontwell Park. Also, there is a motor circuit at Goodwood with its annual Festival of Speed and Revival meetings.

About Mrs Jane Charlton
My name is Jane Charlton and I have two girls, Bella and Lavinia. My husband is a Human rights lawyer and we all really enjoy being so close to the sea. The cottage is so manageable and cosy - it is the first time we have ever had a garden! When I was a child, we would go to West Wittering Beach as a treat or Climping and now we can go whenever we want. I work for an artist in London who gives art classes to children and adults. As a creative person, I have met artists locally and love to take photos and paint... if I have any spare time from gardening.
Mrs Jane Charlton purchased this Cottage in 2009
Why Mrs Jane Charlton chose Chichester
Pucks cottage is perfect for us as we can see the sea from the main bedroom and it is only a 5 minute walk, also, the country walks are within easy reach and Southbourne station is only 10 minutes walk, with direct trains to London, Victoria and Clapham Junction. Being the last property in the cup-de-sac ensures privacy and peace. As it is a cut-de-sac, there is no passing traffic, only dog walkers and the occasional neighbour driving slowly down. We all know each other. It is a real community.. You holiday starts straight away as you can walk through the gate and down to the coast within minutes.
What makes this Cottage unique
The highlights of the cottage are the genuine homely atmosphere original features. Having an inglenook fireplace is our best asset along with the soothing babble of the stream. From the main bedroom, you can see the sea and at night the twinkling stars in the unpolluted sky.
It's a really lovely property with lots of charm.
Ideally located for walks on the harbour and trips to West Wittering, this is a really lovely cottage. We felt very at home here particularly in the large country kitchen and also enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Jane was excellent at communicating and was very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
Dear Nesbitt Family
It was a joy to have you - really straightforward and uncomplicated. With the stream in the garden and the ford close by - it is a charming holiday spot. I am pleased you appreciated the full character of the cottage. Being able to walk to the sea is a real bonus, your holiday starts straightaway. We look forward to hosting you again
Thank you again
A lovely place full of charm
We spent Christmas in Pucks Cottage and had a lovely time. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet spot. Great walks down to the sea. The surrounding area is well worth visiting especially Emsworth with its harbour and quaint little town, and it's only about 5 mins away by car
Thank you so much for your review. It is a very Christmassy cottage with cosy inglenook fire and sea views from the bedroom. Great you discovered Emsworth with all its fishing vibe! Come again soon, repeat booking discounts offered! Happy New Year.
The cottage was amazing plenty of room for the 6 of us.
The cottage is exactly how it looks in terms picture and better, lovely large kitchen three spacious bedrooms, cosy living room with plenty of board games to play, the lovely enchanted garden , we loved it .
Thank you so much for your appreciatuve review! I spend hours and hours working in the garden as it is very densly planted with exotic plants. Glad it pays off...
A lovely quiet retreat!
We loved the peaceful location, the stream flowing through the gardens, and access to the coastal estuary. Perfect for a family of 5.
Thank you very much for your compliments. It is a magical spot to get away from the city and relax in the lush sheltered garden. Hope you will visit again.
Quaint cottage for a holiday
Everything was exactly as shown on the website. We all loved the place and didn't want to leave at the end of the week! There's plenty to do in the area: canoe trips, sailing, walking in the woods, beaches to visit etc. Booking with Jane was simple and straighforward and we'd recommend this lovely place to anyone wanting to have a holiday in this area.
Thank you very much for your lovely compliments. I was very pleased you were able to enjoy a delightful summer break and look forward to having you again any other time .
Puck's is a charming cottage in a tranquil local.
Had a great long weekend in the cottage with lovely coastal walks every day.
Great fresh produce available in the nearby farm shop.
Will definitely keep Puck's cottage in mind for a future break.

West Wittering Beach is 30 mins drive, sandy and child friendly with ample parking. The coast is 3 mins walk from the cottage approximately 300 metres and is popular with walkers and dog walkers, it is stony at high tide and mud flats at low tide but superb sunsets and sunrises! Swimming is available from a coastal wall at high tide 300 metres from the cottage.

Nearest village is Southbourne where there is a farm shop and co-op and chemist. Bosham also has a farm shop and post office. Large supermarket near Chichester just off the roundabout and Havant has a large Tescos but it is on an industrial estate, not as charming. There is a Waitrose also at Chichester.

Unique nature walk at Kingsley Vale.
Coastal footpaths both W and E are 20 yards away via a ford.
The neighbouring Chidham peninsular is ideal for walks, sailing courses, and birdwatching. The village pub there offers good food. There are two gastro pubs, "The Fox Runs Free" at Charlton, near Goodwood and "The Old House At Home" at Chidham, 2 miles away. Also there is a gourmet restaurant at Emsworth called "The Fat Olive" having the same chef as the "The Fat Duck".
