About Joanne Parker
Grant and Joanne Parker moved to Estepona after living in London for 10 years. Grant worked in advertising/publishing and Joanne was in Hotel Management. After being in London for a few years, we decided to go on and adventure and went travelling around Asia and Australia. Joanne's parents already lived in Estepona so it seemed a good idea to try living in Spain as the idea of being back in London wasn't appealing! We arrived with £40 and back packs and quickly got on with life. Joanne went into property sales and Grant into managing a radio station. We saw the plot for Ifield House and a local builder had the plans already drawn up so we went for it. The house is our dream and we've loved living here, but since having children, we've decided to move back to the UK and now live in Somerset.
Joanne Parker purchased this Villa in 2002
Why Joanne Parker chose Estepona
We love Estepona. It's a great mix of traditional Spain mixed with some Northern European influences. There are local residents coming from the UK, Netherlands, Scandinavia and Germany. Although it is popular as a tourist destination, it's not overrun with them. There is life in the port and backstreets but it's never rowdy. Ifield House is a passion for us as we built it from scratch. We chose every tile, tap and toilet! We lived there for 6 years until we decided to move back to the UK. This was mainly because we have young children and wanted to be closer to our old friends and family. I love it when people first walk in the front door of the house with new arrivals. Most people look round in amazement. One younger guest described it as something from MTV cribs!
What makes this Villa unique
Ifield House is a home away from home. As we lived there, the kitchen is really well stocked. There's always the essentials like olive oil, tea, coffee etc. The furniture is not like a usual rental property and we have left behind plenty of books to read. We have also left quite a few toys, 2 cots and a high chair. The house is lovely and peaceful and there are no immediate neighbours. It's a short drive to the beach- about 4 minutes to a great beach club. We love the peace and quiet. Sitting on the terrace and watching the sun going down over the mountain or listening to sound of goats bells as the herd takes them across the valley. I also loved sitting in bed with a cup of tea as the sun rose. It's a bit like looking at Ayres Rock!

Lovely house, fantastic view
We (family of 5) had a perfect vacation in this lovely house. There is everything you need (and more). Nice garden and pool, the most fantastic view over the mountains with the ocean in the horizon and so many terraces, you can sit in the sun no matter what time it is.
Also the manager, James, is very kind and helpfull, if you need anything. Over all a really good experience, and we would like to visit again, when we are in spain.
Thank you to Annelouise for the lovely review. We agree that one of the main features of the house are the large open windows with views from every room. We always feel a sense of calm when we arrive at Ifield House and it's great to hear positive comments about our special house.
What a place!
Ifield House is glorious. Clear instructions from the owners prior to my stay and their communication when in the property went above and beyond my expectations. You are made to feel like it is your home not just a holiday home.
The location is beautiful. Plans were to visit attractions, but once settled in there really felt no need to leave! However, if you do want to get out, there is so much nearby. A beach, restaurants and shops are all very close, as well as a beach club!
All bedroom's are ensuite and the property is clean, modern and luxurious. Our evenings were spent in the huge lounge, taking in the variety of views on offer, listening to music, with the stunning fire lit! We can't wait to go back in summer to spend more time on the multiple terraces on offer and enjoy THAT pool, and a BBQ. There is a TV with multiple channels too as well as Wifi.
There is not one thing I can think is missing from Ifield House and have receommended this remarkable Villa to anyone who will listen!
Lovely villa, marvellous position, amazing views
Greatly recommend for couples or a family.
Well maintained and very comfortable.
Stunning, homely and excellent service
Had a great stay at this beautiful villa, perfect for our grown up family with plenty of accommodation and excellent for family meals. Pool was superb.
Service from both the owners and the property manager, John, was great and any the small issues (not the fault of the villa or owners) were resolved quickly and had all the help we needed.
Location is excellent with lovely local beaches the are not too touristy! Would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Thank you for our stay at your lovely villa
We really enjoyed our stay at Ifield house, the villa is set in a lovely quite location. It’s ideal, away from the crowds, but only a 10 minute drive into Estepona.
The swimming pool was fantastic it gets the sun from midday right up until it sets in the evening. We made good use of the lovely terrace to sit out in the evening with a glass or two of wine, enjoying the unspoilt views.
Everything we needed had been thought of and the villa felt like a real home (sadly not ours!).
John, the local manager, was very helpful with recommendations of places to visit and where’s good to eat. Our most memorable evening was at the very picturesque village of Benhavis, plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Estepona Old Town and the port are both lovely with a huge selection of restaurants to chose from.
We did manage to drag ourselves away from this immaculate villa on some excursions out; Marbella old town was very nice, a day in Rhonda was an experience we won’t forget. A day trip to Gibraltar was within easy reach. We decided to park in the carpark and walk over the border as the traffic gets very busy queuing in the mornings! Highly recommend lunch at The Little Rock restaurant in Gibraltar town.
A truly memorable holiday and hopefully we will return soon!
Thanks for your review- we're glad you enjoyed your stay at our house. Jo and Grant
The Perfect House
The house is beautifully, perfect located, well equipped and the pool makes the house just perfect.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a terrace.
Additionally there is a terrace close to the leaving room and one close to the kitchen, so you can have a breakfast or a dinner with a beautiful view. The kitchen is perfect equipped with dish-washer, espresso coffee maker, toaster, spices, oil, tea and all the stuff you need for cooking.
The pool is deep and clean and nobody is watching or hearing you.
The bars on the beach close to the house with pool look also great.
The house is also perfect located for trips to Gibraltar, Ronda, Malaga, Marbella.
Estepona is also a very cute city, which you should definitely visit.
I’ve spent in the house a lovely week with my family.
Thank you Jo!!!!
