Notes on accommodation: The villa has individual air-conditioning/heating units for each room as well as gas fired hot water & central heating radiators in all living rooms for off season occupancy. The property has attractive marble floors and stairs throughout with shag pile carpets in lounge and bedrooms.The dvd player in the lounge also plays CDs and a small quantity of these as well as DVD,s are provided for guests use.Outside on the patio area, young children would need constant close supervision due to the easy open access to the swimming pool. The kitchen has a convenient serving hatch to the dining area,which also has a sliding window giving access to the brickbuilt barbeque area (illuminated for late night cooking). Outside: Patio area with h/quality cushioned outside furniture, 2 str.settee, 2 arm chairs and glass topped coffee table. Sun loungers & outdoor chairs. Lovely views overlooking private pool, golf course and woodlands. Brick built barbecue area with illuminated preparation area (a full range of BBQ tools and equipment is provided). There is an attractive 7.5 x 3.5m swimming pool with ladder steps as well as Roman steps. There is also an outdoor shower by the side of pool. The pool has a fully managed filtration system (and pool lighting is installed to add to your alfresco dining experience at night).There are external power points to plug in personal cd players/I pods and speakers if you wish to add a little mood music to the evening drinks atmosphere. The lawned area to the side of the garden & around the pool has its own sprinkler system to keep it green thru the year. The patio area has quality wooden slatted blinds installed (to lower for extra privacy or sun/breeze shelter if required). Utility Room: Secure gated area with brick built work surfaces & storage areas housing washer dryer, washing sink and drying area with drying rack, ironing board & steam Iron. Cupboard in this area houses heating/hot water boiler and controls. Rear access to BBQ area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is cleaned weekly with both linen and bath and hand towels provided. Guest are required to bring their own pool and beach towels but these can be hired for a small additional fee if required. Other: All windows to downstairs lounge/dining room & bedrooms have external shutters & security bolts for extra peace of mind whilst away from the property. There are also gatehouse security entrances to the complex as well as regular 24hr security patrols.

Wonderful holiday!

Wow! What an absolutely incredible villa equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. A real home from home. Our group consisted of 3 adults and 3 children aged 11,7 and 2years. The children adored the pool and we fully utilised the 1 Euro bus service on our trips to the town and beach. Will certainly return.

Fabulous family holiday villa

Fabulous family holiday villa - we were a family party of 5, consisting of our almost 6 yr old grandson; our son and his wife; and my husband and I. Spent a week here in glorious sunshine in early July; just chilling out by the pool, (taking turns with the youngest of the party). We ate out at the clubhouse a few times; fabulous food and very reasonably priced. Plenty of playparks on resort also for our grandson; he tried out most all of them every evening. We hired a car; but also walked to the clubhouse once/twice - it is close to the gatehouse, an easy 30/35 minute stroll; or 5/6 mins in the car. You can walk to the beach/promenade at Los Alcazares, but it does take over an hour; 10 mins in the car; well worth it though; lovely strolling along the promenade; lovely clean beach; plenty of cafes/bars for snacks and the likes. If you like walking in the sunshine; its not an issue at all, other than for perhaps the elderly or younger kids; but perfectly fine if you have a car. The villa itself is spotlessly clean and tidy; and has everything you could possibly need...right down to a pump to blow up inflatables for our grandson and a first aid cabinet. Supermarkets nearby; less than 10 mins in car; very well stocked and reasonably priced. Hopefully the new airport when it opens later this year will be as efficient and close by as San Javier is. Our grandson was literally in the pool less than an hour after we landed. Roda Golf Resort is very well maintained/looked after and security visible 24/7; only negative would be the little onsite shop is now closed which is a pity. It's15/20 minutes drive from San Javier which is perfect if you are travelling with kids; it's all on the level; no hills/flights of steps; there's even a lift up to the Clubhouse Restaurant. We all returned home very reluctantly; fabulous villa and an amazing holiday for all of us. Our thanks to Chris and Sheila for letting us have the use of their holiday home; much appreciated.

Coast/Beach:

The villa is only 4 or 5 minutes drive from the Los Narejos beach, with spectacular views over to the famous La Manga strip. The beach here is known to be one of the best sections of the 230 km of beautiful sandy beaches around the Mar Menor(a huge salt water lagoon sheltered by the La Manga strip from the cooler & slightly rougher waters of the Mediterranean beyond its barrier). From here stretches miles of picturesque promenade in either direction with many cafe's/restaurants & small marinas.

Travel:

Nearest airport is San Javier airport less than 5 minute drive along the motorway (one junction). Car hire is recommended due to location of villa on quiet far side of golf course complex.

Distances:

Nearest village is Roda with restaurant facilities. Nightlife can be found 5 mins drive away at Los Narejos & Los Alcazares. Murcia city is about 30 mins drive away as are Cartagena and La Manga whilst Alicante is about 40 minutes drive up the coast. Cartagena & Murcia have wonderful areas of great historical interest as do many of the towns of inland Murcia.

Further Details:

Small on site supermarket which stock English newspapers and small selection of essential groceries and wines & spirits. A number of larger supermarkets and shops are to be found in the Los Alcazares or Los Narejos region. There are a number of fine restaurants in the Los Alcazares area Including an Indian restaurant and a pizzaria, most of these have outdoor dining areas in a pedestrianised Bistro area,as well as the normal indoor facilities.Ther are also several larger hotels that are delighted to welcome non guests to their excellent restaurants.
