My name is Jo-Anne and my husband is Simon. We both work and live in South Yorkshire and have two boys aged 8 and 11 who both love football and our dog called Lucia. My first trip to see my friend Deborah in Italy was approximately 20 years ago and I loved Italy then... but fell in love with Pereta, the Hillside Village, after visiting my friend and her family on holiday. Now we spend our holiday enjoying the Tuscan sun, the fantastic food and drink.

Why Owner chose Magliano in Toscana
We were lucky enough to purchased ‘Casa Bella Vista’ which dates back to approximately 1200ad after visiting my friend Deborah on holiday. We instantly loved the village and liked the house as soon as we walked into it, even though much work needed to be done, it felt welcoming and homely. This characteristic property was renovated by a team of local craftsmen who restored a lot of the original features, like the exposed stone walls and original wooden beams. The area is great as you can combine both sightseeing and relax on a beach nearby.
What makes this Apartment unique
With the house in the heart of the village, you are not far from local amenities. The kids love Franco’s pizza and my husband and I love Maria’s set menu! We also love sitting on the balcony over looking the stunning Tuscan countryside with a glass of the local Tuscan wine. My children love coming here and every time we leave they ask when can we return?! This is an ideal holiday destination in which to visit, Saturnia’s Hot Springs, Giglio Island, Porto Santo Stefano, Sienna,Rome, Florence, and many more!!!. Deborah is not only a great friend but she is managing the property for us, and I couldn’t wish for nobody better as Deborah has excellent knowledge of the village and surrounding area, Pereta is the perfect place to explore Tuscany!

It was a unique experience to stay in a medieval town in Italy, but with all the comforts of home. The two restaurants in the village quite good especially Marie's
A beautiful place. It was cold during our stay and we had problems getting the heat to operate properly. Lovely area.
Real life in a hilltop village
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this picturesque village. The property is spacious and well equipped with fabulous views all around. The village has 3 terrific restaurants and is well located for day trips around Southern Tuscany. We loved listening to the quiet sounds of life in the village. The information in the property is very good for you to plan your visits. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.
We had a lovely week in Pereta
We had a lovely week in Pereta. The house was very clean and well equipped. The beaches nearby were wild and wonderful, the hot springs were fantastic and trips to Siena and Florence were brilliant. We loved the corner shop which is very well stocked. The views from the house are gorgeous and the balcony is great for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Casa Bella Vista
Just returned from a great stay in this beautiful house, The Village of Pereta and Casa Bella Vista were every bit as good as the description and more! We found the house spotlessly clean, comfortable and really well equipped, more spacious than the pictures show. Plenty of spare blankets and towels available if we'd have needed them, and a lovely basket of goodies to welcome us.
Great customer service, with loads of useful info on the area which we made good use of - exploring this beautiful part of Tuscany, and we visited MARIA's restaurant a few doors away and had an unforgettable evening! Would highly recommend to family and friends and would definitely book again if ever we return to this area.

There are many interesting towns close by well worth a visit such as Pitigliano, Porto santo Stefano, Scansano, Magliano in Toscana, Sorano, Montiano, Montorgiali, Roccalbegna, Grosseto and many more. Tuscany boasts a lovely climate. The best way to describe it is that it seems to have 'proper' seasons which all have something special to share with you... Warm sunny Spring days make a regular appearance from as early as March sending the area into full bloom with blossom on the trees and poppies by the roadside. The summers are hot and relaxing with inviting beaches and shaded pine forests. Autumn's sunny days are a kaleidoscope of colours, an array of aromas with bursting vines and olive groves awaiting harvest time. The winter months are colder, time to enjoy the quiet villages filled with the cosy aroma of wood burning on the open fires, wrap up warm for a stroll on the beach or soak away your worries in the nearby hot springs of Saturnia... Mother Nature's Jacuzzi!
