La Calade stands above Canadel with wonderful views of the Golden Isles and surrounding hills. It has several terraces, one covered and an infinity pool. There are extensive grounds with palm trees, citrus trees, oleanders and umbrella trees. The house extends over 3 floors with 2 large living areas, one of which has a Yamaha grand piano. The other has a home cinema system, Wii and B & O Hi-Fi 2 of the bedrooms are en-suite with bath and showers, one with a walk in wardrobe. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. There are two separate toilets and a third bathroom. The kitchen looks out to sea and is fully fitted with Neff appliances. The floors are Italian stone and terracotta, fitted throughout with underfloor heating. The pool is fitted with a swimming exercise water pump, underwater lighting and a beautiful waterfall. The villa is approached through electric, remote control gates and up a long drive flanked by palms and oleanders. There is parking for several cars.
The villa was purchased in 2001 and has undergone complete refurbishment since then by the French architect, Olivier Ghibaudo, renowned for the quality of his work in the Cote d'Azur.

Rayol Canadel is a very sought after conservation area. There is only one building (to my knowledge) over two storeys high. It is totally unspoilt, calm and relaxing.
It is easy to explore Var and beyond from Rayol. It is well served by public transport, yet undiscovered by mass tourism. The beach is always accessible and relatively uncrowded as there is very limited parking.
The climate is beautiful. Mild winters, gorgeous in Spring through to October. A very 'green' environment throughout the year.
The region makes excellent wines and there are numerous vineyards to explore.
All in all a wonderful place!
We spend an exceptionally wonderful time in la calade last summer and we are sure: we will come back. The house is fantastic for 2 families, a lot of piece, nice views and the beach very near (you can walk) and if you want to go to St Tropez or St Maxime, it's very near but actually we were always happy to come back and have this real peaceful house la calade! Thank You Bob - also for a very private and warm arrival. See you soon!
The villa is a few minutes walk from the sandy beach where there are two beach bars. There is a jetty where boats can be brought to pick up and drop off passengers.
Google maps indicate the villa is about 300 metres from the beach.

Rayol Canadel hasa very good restaurant 'Maurin des Maures There is a weekly market. There is a doctors surgery, pharmacy and a dentist in Cavalaire.
Rayol village has a range of shops for most needs.

To book or inquire about availability, contact the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Griffiths. A non refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks before the first day of your reservation. A damages deposit is payable of £750 Which is refundable after deduction of any breakage / damage have been applied.
The villa is non smoking. Smokers are welcome, smoking is only permitted outside of the villa.
The changeover day is Saturday, or by arrangement if it is mutually agreeable and possible. Arrival, after 2pm (1400 hours). Departure before 9.30am (9.30 hours).

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Contact the owner for dates not listed, including remaining weeks in 2015.
Taxe de Sejour is payable in addition to the rental quoted and is a compulsory french tax. It is quoted as above at a daily rate of 50p per person per night.
