A modern apartment comprising entrance hall with bunks, bathroom, separate WC, living room with double sofa bed and kitchen area, one double bedroom, balcony with rural views. The balcony is approx 8 square metres with a table and six chairs for entertaining. The umbrella and cushions are in navy and white. The flat has its own designated parking space opposite the front door. As the development is on an incline, the front door is at ground level and the rear balcony is on the first floor. The apartment faces south and overlooks hills planted with trees and shrubs. The building has recently been decorated. The gardens and buildings are kept in excellent condition. We installed a new kitchen area in 2014, new sliding doors on to the balcony in 2013 and a new bathroom in 2015.

About Ann Walker
We live in the countryside in England and decided that the seaside would provide a different experience for everyone. Our children who are now in their late twenties and early thirties still come with their friends and partners. I teach French and therefore love to visit France every year to practise my French.
Ann Walker purchased this Apartment in 1989
Why Ann Walker chose Le Lavandou
We love this part of France. We are so near the beach and enjoy the Mediterraen sun at all times of the year. It is relatively unspoilt when compared with most of the Cote d'Azur and is a resort enjoyed mainly by French families. Of course we do have a lot of English and Italian visitors. The countryside too is lovely with the wonderful Maures mountains in the background and with many delightful places to visit.

We had a wonderful fortnight from the moment we arrived we were relaxed. The whole ambience and atmosphere is truly great
Cavaliere beaches are beautiful. We have also been to St Tropez which not too far way. The apartment is well equipped clean and neat with private parking. The owners are always very helpful and accommodating will be retuning again soon.
Thank you so much for this kind review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your holiday.
Do come again.
Best wishes to you both
We spent a most wonderful week in Cavaliere. The flat is in a quiet location, yet near to the main street of this small town by the sea. The flat is compact, comfortable, well maintained and very well equipped, with a large sheltered terrace space. The kitchen area is part of the living room, and works very well. The fridge has a useful freezer box above, and the small oven/grill is most effective, heating up very quickly. There is a large selection of pots and pans and plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils. The bathroom is modern and well lit, with lots of storage space. The parking space is just outside. We did a lot of coastal walking, following trails from walks we found in books etc. and used local tourist information offices for more details and maps. With a picnic and swimsuit and towels we spent the most idyllic days out, returning for a shower or bath - the flat has very hot water - and either an evening on the terrace or a meal in Cavaliere by the sand. The town has a couple of supermarkets with a very good range of food and wine and there are a lot of restaurants to choose from and an excellent bakery open every day from 7.00 till 7.30 in the evening. There are many places of interest to visit nearby, away from the crowds of the famous places. The sun shone every day and we had the most enjoyable and memorable holiday and would highly recommend staying in this flat.
Ideal accommodation for a relaxing holiday!
This lovely apartment was ideal for our holiday. There was plenty of space for the two of us to relax. It was well equipped, with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the peaceful setting which was just a short walk from the beach and the shops.
Thank you so much for this review. So many of our guests are the same people each year, some have been coming for more than ten years so it is nice to welcome a new guest this year. I am delighted you had an enjoyable holiday. Do come again.
Lovely quant villa right near the beach.
A beautiful and relaxing place where I spent a wonderful holiday with two other friends for a week. The villa was very clean and well taken care of and very comfortably slept all three of us. We spent many hours sitting outside on the large terrace having meals and relaxing. The villa is a short walk to the main strip where the beach and several bar/restaurants are. Everyone we met within the community was very lovely and I felt very safe the entire time I was here (abroad for me). Laundry was onsite which we did use, as well as free parking. The bathroom was also completely renovated and beautifully done. The air cooled at night and we slept with the living room windows open for a nice breeze. I found the entire condo village a very authentic experience in the South of France and highly recommend a stay here. Lots to do nearby including boating, the Beach, hiking and wine tasting at one of the local vineyards. Thank you to the hosts for a great stay and for taking such great care of their place. They also left a wealth of information about the area with personal recommendations of what to do.
Thank you for your kind words about our little flat in Cavaliere. I am so glad you had a nice time and thank you for taking the time to write the review.
What a wonderful place to stay.
This was a perfect place to stay for a week in Cavaliere. The flat was very clean, very comfortable and very functional. We were a 10 minute walk to the beach which was very convenient and left us with many options. We could stay at the beach all day, go home for lunch, go back to the beach or visit one of the many nearby towns. We were also left with a detailed book of suggestions for places to try in Cavaliere and in the surrounding area which was most helpful. The flat is conveniently located to cafes, shops, restaurants, laundry, and most importantly the beach. There are many wineries about a 30 minute drive away and many other small towns worth exploring along the coast. It was an absolute wonderful week and I cannot wait to go back.
Great property in an excellent location
We had a very nice time in Ann's apartment in June,
The apartment had every thing you need a lovely balcony not overlooked and a good size for sitting out
With the sun in the morning early afternoon.
The beach is a 5 minutes walk away and there is an excellent shop for all your needs
We shall visit again in the future Jim and Jean retired
Thank you very much for this lovely review. Yes do come again any time.
Cavaliere has a lovely sandy beach, from which one may swim, sail, wind surf, paraglide, waterski etc.
You can fly from City Airport London City Jet to Toulon and from Southampton to Toulon with Flybe. We can do a Sunday arrival and departure for people using this service. There are lots of flights to Marseilles and Nice from various British airports.
Travel: Southampton to Toulon with Flybe and City airport London to Toulon
Toulon/Hyeres airport 27km. Nice airport 125km. Marseille airport 135km (Ryan Air and Easy Jet). Car hire recommended, though you can reach Cavaliere by bus from Toulon/Hyeres Airport. Alternatively we often drive down to Cavaliere sometimes via the motorway and sometimes on the A roads taking time to visit places of interest in France on the way. The TGV goes to Toulon and there is a bus service along the coastal road.
Le Lavandou 6.5km. Bormes Les Mimosas 9km. Hyeres 29km.
St Tropez 32km. Cannes 104km.
Tennis courts may be hired at the tennis club where there is also a gourmet restaurant (owned by a highly acclaimed French chef who has recently returned to the area ) and a swimming pool. Bicycles may be hired in the village and the old railway line is now a coastal cycle track and walkway.
Shopping is very convenient with two boulangeries, a post office, a tourist information office and two small supermarkets in the village . There are also several other shops selling gifts, beach clothes, newspapers, books etc, and some restaurants, bars and a pizzeria. In Le Lavandou there are three large supermarkets, a range of shops and many delightful restaurants. There is a very good self service launderette in Cavaliere and dry cleaning facilities in Le Lavandou.
Cavaliere is one of twelve beaches in the commune of Le Lavandou and is situated on a protected coastline. The area benefits from a mild climate in winter with lush semi-tropical vegetation. From Le Lavandou and also from Presqu'ile de Gien you can take a ferry to the islands of Porquerolles, Port Cros and Le Levant. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed lunch at the local restaurants and the excellent walking and cycling tracks on the islands. On Porquerolles you can hire bicycles and Port Cros it is particularly suitable for walking as there are no cars.
To the west you can visit Bormes Les Mimosas, an ancient hilltop medieval village famous for its mimosa, which flowers from January to March, with views of the sea and the islands. Hyeres, an old medieval town, has a casino, a racecourse and some wonderful public gardens and large avenues lined with its famous palm trees.
To the east is Le Rayol, with its spectacular, restored Edwardian garden and arboretum which sweeps down to the sea. This garden was first created in 1910 but fell into disrepair in the 1960s. In 1989 it was acquired by the Conservatoire du Littoral and the restoration began. Musical soirees and plant fairs take place during the tourist season.
Beyond lie St Tropez, Port Grimaud and the rest of the Cote d'Azur. St Tropez and its peninsular are a delight to visit. Beautiful scenery and views. In St Tropez there are some excellent shops and a typical provencal market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There is a small museum called the Annonciade which is worth visiting and of course the stunning yachts in the harbour. Nearby are several hill top villages like Gassin, Grimaud and Ramatuelle, all set amongst the vineyards.
Behind the coast is the Maures Massif, covered in huge forests, an important centre for the production of cork. Its capital Collobrieres, home of the chestnut and ‘marrons glaces’, is a charming village and well worth a visit.
