This lovely villa is located just a short walk from Nerja's best beach, Burriana. It has recently been extended and completely renovated. The area is known as Chiminea - Nerja's prime residential area. It is the perfect location for a family holiday being convenient for the beach and town centre, yet in a quiet area. There is a private swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers.
The views from this property over the sea are beath-taking. There are several terraces from which to enjoy the sun and the views, including a roof terrace with sun all day. There are also covered areas of terrace for some welcome shade from the sun. The house is comfortably furnished throughout with the quality furnishings. The living accommodation is all on one level with stunning views over the sea. The 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (3 ensuite) are on a separate level. Three of the bedrooms have access out onto the garden area.
ABOUT NERJA: Nerja is unspoilt by high-rise holiday development and retains its unique Andalusian character. All new constructions have been adapted to the traditional Andalusian style of whitewashed houses, windows with grilles, roof with two slopes, etc. Nerja is not just a summer resort; it retains its unique charm all year round claiming the best climate in Europe. This is in part due to the surrounding Almijara mountains with its pine-clad slopes which shelter the resort and provide stunning views and ideal countryside for walkers. Nerja boasts many small coves reached by walking the Paseo de los Carabineros from Burriana to the Balcón.
LOCAL EXCURSIONS: The Nerja Caves are well worth visiting. A fascinating, extensive network of underground caverns, complete with auditorium and stage where the annual music and arts festival takes place. Nearby is Maro, a picturesque village with panoramic views across the sea and a small secluded beach, invisible from the cliff top. The mountains shelter many small attractive villages, notably Frigiliana with its restored Roman town and narrow vehicle-free cobbled streets. Further afield is the historic city of Granada and its famous Alhambra Palace. Malaga and beyond, to Marbella and Puerto Banus also provide a great day out.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Málaga airport to Nerja by car takes approx. 40 mins (50 Kms from Málaga). Taxis are easily available at the airport or you can take a bus from Malaga. There is an excellent bus service between Nerja and all major towns and villages.

We stayed at Casa Mya in January 2013 and enjoyed our stay very much. Casa Mya is an ideal place to stay for families but also for other larger groups. The view from the two terraces over the sea is breath-taking and the Burriana beach is located just a few hundred meters away. The house is situated in a dead-end so the surrounding is very peaceful.
All electronic equipment and household appliances were new and of high quality. Our only complaint concerning the equipment is that the pans were on the older side and that most of the knives were very blunt, which made cooking in the otherwise very beautiful kitchen somewhat uncomfortable, but these were minor details since we were otherwise very happy with the house.
All bedrooms, which are situated in the basement, are spacious and nicely decorated. Since the rooms are partly situated under the earth level, it can get quite cold in the winter if one does not want to have the air conditioning on all the time. In the summer, when the weather gets hot, it is on the other hand probably very nice that the bedrooms stay cooler than the rest of the house. The blankets were also not very thick so it could be a good idea to bring your own blanket in the winter if you tend to get cold easily.
All practical things from booking to villa until our arrival ran very smoothly and Valerie was always helpful and ready to answer our questions.
All in all, we were very happy with our stay at Casa Mya and would gladly stay there again and recommend it to others.
Casa Mya is a beautiful house in undoubtedly one of the best locations in Nerja. A few minutes walk from Burriana Beach and a short drive or 15 minute walk along the beach to the town centre it perches on the cliff top and sitting on the terrace you can enjoy far reaching views of the sea and the surrounding mountains as they plunge down to the sea. There are three large terraces, all with tables /chairs and plenty of sun loungers perfect for both time alone to read or chill or for family meals together (there is a bbq on the top terrace) Very quiet, restful and everything you could want from a holiday villa. We went with our three children and whilst the weather was not so amazing all week they loved the beach and had no problems with the steps down or up again for that matter. The beach is well laid out with children's climbing frames at regular intervals along the promenade as well as a wealth of restaurants and bars. Comfy beds - clean - plenty of bathrooms - lots of wardrobe space - good quality, well maintained appliances - great living area with sky TV/ipod docks and wifi - which also has a great view of the sea. Key pick up was well organised and easy following the owners instructions and both agents and owners were very helpful throughout. Lots to do nearby, Nerja caves / donkey sanctuary /Balcon de Europa all within a five minute drive & historic and very pretty Spanish villages within about a 20 min drive - although if you don't have a car there seem to be lots of local buses and taxis. All in all a lovely villa from which to base our holiday and one which we would love to visit again!

Villa was better than we expected. Fully airconditioned villa, great kitchen, appliances, three bathrooms and also a fourth toilet. Clean, well-maintained, beautifully furnished, spacious with fantastic outdoor areas and superb views. 2 mins in a car to large supermarket (supersol). Walk down to Burriana beach was a set of steps (70 - 100) tough but great to be so near. House located at the bottom of hill, it's a tough walk so it was taxi's which were very reasonable into Nerja and Burriana. Would definately reccommend this villa if you are looking to relax in your own space with your own good size pool.
Nerja is situated on the coast in the Andalucian area of southern Spain, 45 minutes east of Malaga. Nerja has a considerable tourist population, but the original Andalucian town of 15,000 retains its traditional character. Fishermen still bring in their morning catch down on the beach. Architecture is a mixture of Andalucian and Moorish styles. Surrounded by the coastal mountains which rise picturesquely up from the sea, it cannot be compared to the high-rise vacation development elsewhere.
Golf: There nearest golf course is 15 minutes drive away in Velez Malaga.
Ski: Nerja is 1.5 hours from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains near Granada.
