Large 4 bedroom villa and gardens with 12m pool set in glorious countryside.

Villa Tre Sorelle is set deep in the Italian countryside between the Adriatic coast and the Sibilini mountains. The villa is a tranquil holiday hideaway. Aside from the long, spacious living and dining rooms and fully equipped, modern kitchen, you can lounge by the lovely 12 metre swimming pool set in extensive gardens or dine al fresco under the covered portico. With four light, airy bedrooms and two bathrooms the villa is a perfect holiday home. A separate one bedroom cottage in the grounds is also available for those wanting even more space or privacy.

About Nick Rapley

I have always loved all things Italian: the climate, countryside, food, wine, language, culture, fashion, cars and even the football! As such I dreamed for many years of a home there too.

In 2005 I went on holiday to Le Marche for the first time and fell in love with the area. According to the Italian Tourist Board the region is 'Italy's best kept secret' and it is easy to see why. So on an impulse I bought a house there and have never looked back.

We have three beautiful daughters and they love their holidays in Treia. It only seemed right to name the house after them, the three sisters (Tre Sorelle).

Our daughters are half Italian and half English so it really is true to say that I love all things Italian!

Why Nick Rapley chose Treia

Sitting just below Tuscany and Umbria, Le Marche is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy but is not as well-known as these areas. The countryside is the same with rolling hills and medieval villages but without the crowds or the prices that go with them.

Treia is a pretty little town nestled in between the Sibilini Mountains and the beaches of the Adriatic which means you can be as active or as lazy as you like.

You can ski in the mountains in the winter or go for long hikes and mountain-bike rides in the summer. A day at the beach with fresh fish and a dry white is always nice too.

In August the sferisterio, or open-air opera, is held in the amphitheatre in Macerata and makes for a spectacular evening out in this old Roman city.

There is always plenty to see, do or eat!

What makes this villa unique

The key benefit of Villa Tre Sorelle is it's setting. Treia is a beautiful, medieval village and the surrounding countryside is stunning. The house itself is set in extensive grounds with a large garden and many trees. In the summer the surrounding fields turn to a sea of yellow as the sunflowers bloom. The villa has its own private swimming pool making this the ideal place to relax and unwind.

Treia is no more than an hour from Ancona airport and has excellent road links to the coast and the mountains.

There is an abundance of local restaurants in the area. I Due Mori (The Two Oaks), for example, is only a five minute walk away and will give you a taste of the real Italy with superb cooking and local wines.

Notes on accommodation: Villa Tre Sorelle has a large garden and is very child-friendly. There is a lovely covered portico outside, ideal for dining alfresco on a summer's evening. Outside: The large gardens include many different trees and a big open field. The swimming pool is 12m long and is private. Sun-loungers are provided. There is a barbecue outside, close to the patio. Utility Room: The utility room has a washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. The property is cleaned every Saturday. Other: The small cottage in the garden is self-contained and has another double bed. This is perfect for those with a nanny or larger groups.

Treia is approximately 45 minutes drive from the Adriatic coast where many beautiful beaches can be found.


The closest airport is Ancona which is approximately 1 hour drive from Treia. Pescara is also within a two hour drive, Rome or Bologna are three hours.

Car hire is strongly recommended if you wish to explore the countryside.


Treia is a two minute drive away and is a beautiful, old medieval village with stunning views.

Macerata is twenty minutes away by car and is an old Roman town with an amphitheatre which is used in the summer for open air opera.

Le Marche was recently described by the Italian Tourist Board as 'Italy's best kept secret'. When you visit you are sure to understand why. The countryside is wonderful and unspoilt and the area represents' the real Italy'.

The area has an abundance of small hilltop villages. Treia itself is one of the most beautiful and has all the facilities and local shops that you need. There are many, many local restaurants selling wonderful local fare.

To book please email or call Nick on +44 7710 511313. A deposit of 20% is payable at the time of booking. Balance is due eight weeks prior to arrival date.

Changeover Day:
The preferred changeover day is Saturday but this can be flexible subject to availability.

Notes on prices:
The newly rennnovated cottage in the garden, 'Il Fratellino', is available to rent at the additional cost of £258 in the Low Season, £342 in the Mid Season and £438 per week in the High Season.
The cottage is only available to those wanting more space in addition to the main Villa and is not rented out separately.
